Yes I agree that Australia is a quite good team in one day format but you also should remember this series is playing in England so they may bounce back at any time. Agreed with you 305 runs are good and impressive total to defend with quality bowling attack like Starc, Cummins and Watson, English will have to play responsibly like Australia to chase this so let's see how overcome to this total.

some more stats

Last 5 games here at southampton.
Frst bat scored 280+ in all with 2 300+. So frst inng score imp.
Frst bat won 4. Sec bat won 1 that was last game when nz chased 302 vs eng few months ago.

so most probably today Australia will score more than 300+ and England will find difficulty to chase.
