It was a very important toss to win for both the teams, and looks like Lady Luck is smiling on team England. It just keeps getting worse. Kohli and Hardik Pandya are out too. India have been reduced to 61/5. The only thing which might save India is the fact that almost 1.5 days of play has been washed out. England are going to come out looking positive and try to force a victory.

You are right now they can fix 100 overs per day as lost first complete day and 400 overs are enough for result of test now if India want to win this test they need to win toss as its very important factor for this test all day rain and first session could be very good for bowling side

Too bad Stokes ain't playing this one. Sadly, he did something extremely wrong/unethical.

its very big lost for England but they can manage this and will bring some good replacement

They've already brought in Chris Woakes as a replacement of Ben Stokes. IMO, it's a fine decision.

Its really sad but its win of law because no one is above the law he done mistake and now he have to pay for this its very big lost for England but they can manage this and will bring some good replacement but this second test could be very interesting as Lords is never been good for Home team specially teams like Pakistan and India

India vs England 2nd test will start from today . England is leading the 5 match series with 1-0. India will have to make some strategic changes in their batting as their batting did not worked in previous match other than Virat who made the most runs for India.

As I predicted yesterday, they were pretty fired up after the previous loss and did a good job this time; however, I didn't expect them to do this good. Thisara Parera and Dasun Shanaka performed very well, but the middle-order batsmen (except for Kusal Perera) didn't do much yet again.

South Africa batsman tried fully to win the match but Sri Lanka bowling was also good and took the wickets when ever their is a partnership is forming. Still even loosing the series Sri Lanka want the series to be not loosing badly.

The pitch was not supporting to batsman later part of the game. If you look at England second innings batting then you will know that they also didn't play a good batting except for SM Curran, who has scored 63 runs. Still , Indian top order batsmen should have played better . There was hell lot of time , I feel like they played poorly with over-confidence. I don't know what's up with Rahane , he is not him right now . I hope he plays better next time because he is a great test batsmen .

I agree, they performed poorly in a game that if the batsman could play as a team they could of won the game. But relying on just Kohli to try and win the test match makes it very difficult and puts a lot of pressure on him to always perform well. Lets just hope we see a better Indian batting performance in the 2nd test match. Congrats to England on winning!
