the match is currently going on and it looks like India is going to win the match very easily. No, i don't think so, with the batting line that is of Indian team, this total is not defendable. India are comfortably cruising towards victory here. They are playing at a run rate of 6.5 while they required only 3.38 from here on to get a lead in the ODI series.
The 97 runs opening partnership between Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill took the game away from Sri Lanka, however, it was mainly Rohit who made 64 in only 44 balls and Gill just supported him. I don't see any collapse from here today from the Indian batsmen.

Yes ,you are right. Indian International cricket team should make changes and should take rest to big players but BCCI will not take risk in this case because they have fear of lose the match. Indian International team was lazy againt Pakistan in Champions Trophy 2017 final. Indian team won the pole match and everyone knew that Indian team was favorite but Indian team was on proud and then all World saw the result of that match and Indian proud met to the soil. Now , I think they should take risk and should give chance to small players because Virat Kohli will play next World Cup only and after he will retire.Now Indian cricket board has time to polish small players and they should enhance the confidence if small player because that is time when they can learn. There will be no time to learn against England, Australia And South Africa.

Yes I agree with you in this fact. Players like Virat Kohli may not retain the same motivation as against the usual comparatively weak teams. Because they are not a battle of such team. And if this type of match is played by the new players, it is possible to get relatively good results. Here the newcomers are given the opportunity to be aware of their performance at the same time and the new players will also try to come out with their best. India cricket can benefit from both sides. It is true Indian cricket is quite strong in T20 format whereas ODI format is not so strong.

In the T20 series between Sri Lanka and India, we saw that the Indians with a young team won the T20 series against Sri Lanka by 3-0. I think now the BCCI and the captain of the team Rohit Sharma should have to drop Shubman Gill from the team and also the team have to notice him, he is not playing like he did in the World Cup 2023 and he was the main player there but now so poor performance by him.

Also in the IPL 2024 he did not play in good way and because of that performance, BCCI dropped him from the World Cup but still he has no improvement. He also did so poor bowling but that is ok because that is not his main role but in batting he has to play well but as we have seen his performance. Before the 2023 World Cup, he was looking an upcoming legend and now he is unable to sustain that performance.
