I thought Sri Lanka will make a humongous score today in response to Rohit's last hit but felt like they lacked conviction and also many errors in communication between the batsmen. 215 is not that much to hold Indian batting line up. Sri Lankan bowling is good but whether it is good enough to hold all the Indian Batsmen.?
SL are 204/6 in 37 overs. They would like to first reach 250 runs as post as much runs possible. Tharanga played well for 95 runs and missed his century by 5 runs. Chahcal is bowling superbly and has picked up 3 crucial wickets putting SL in sort of trouble now. Will be interesting to watch how India can chase this total without Virat in their side.

Under the circumstances I would say that's a well thought call, however I'm not really sure considering that England team has a tendency to get out easily, under pressure if their top order crumbles like a cookie.
Moving from Ashes to Asia, team India is under solid pressure, Sri Lanka has nothing to loose but India has lot to loose, and they can't afford to be lax, the way they performed in second match was good but had the target been small things could have been different. My money on the home team.

Yes, they are almost ready to win this test match. England failed to score another 100+ runs in first innings. Otherwise, if they want to save this match then they have to play at least for next two days but don't know whether they can do it. Australia looks very strong position to win this match and they still got another six wickets in hand to score some more quick runs in this innings to put pressure on Englands team.

Yes, it looks today India will not give up this match. They are currently in a very good position to score more than 300 runs in this match. Now they are 155 runs for a loss of one wicket and still 22 overs left. A lot of good batsmen need to come to play so easily I can guess today they may score 300+ runs. England looked set to make 500+ runs but what a great bowling performance by Australia to bowl them all out for just 403 runs. I think right now the match is even but id Steve Smith can continue his good form and go on to make a big hundred then Australia will most likely get a lead in this test match. Steve Smith is the key to Australia making 500+ runs and if they do then they will win this test match as I can't see England making many runs in the 2nd innings.

Maybe this pitch is a supporting batsman more so we can also expect the same performance from Australia also unless England bowlers do better bowling than Australians. As OP said they may score more than 500 runs in this first innings. We can only say whether a match will end in a draw or not after seeing Australia first innings batting.
