SL snatched the victory from Pakistan in their 1st Test match by wining it by just 22 runs. On last day 16 wickets fall and Pakistan lost 1st time any test in Abu Dhabi. Herath took 400th wicket and overall 6 wicket in 2nd inning. He was Man of the Match for his terrific spell helping SL clinch the 1-0 in 2 match series.

Sri Lanka must be counting their lucky stars here. A target of 136 wasn't expected to challenge the Pakistani line up, especially in Abu Dhabi. Pakistan have lost a test match for the first time at this venue.

It was a extra ordinary performance by the Sri Lankan bowlers. Sri Lankan team were going through a bad phase; their morale was really low after losing the back to back matches against india and this win was much needed for them. Herath made the difference as the target was very easy to chase down, but he bowled brilliantly. Once again, it has been proved that Pakistani team is unpredictable and they lack the consistency.

Yes, being whitewashed in a home ODI series is something new for the Sri Lankan team. They have got their mojo back against Pakistan now. If West Indies had played a bit better against England, then Sri Lanka would have had to play the qualifiers to get into the World Cup. Thankfully, that didn't happen.

Its not new topic Pakistan is unpredictable because we have long history losing matches like this currently no senior batsman available all new they fail to play under pressure just because of this lost this match very cheaply Herath is very good against Pakistan in past also take 100 wickets in just 20 tests not bad at all

This Australian side does not have the fire to Win a match. Keeping wickets was terrible. Most of the games won by India was one sided with no thrill finish. Aussies lost no doubt but yes they never gave up! Pitch and conditions excuse just doesn't hold good.
Australia has just lost thier dignity from cricket in recent time. they are playing very disappointing way. in this series, they never seemed that they were a strong team. especially their batsman showed terrific bad performance. I am sure though bowlers performed more or less well they surely missed Stark and Hazlewood. if both could play then result would have been different.

Like all other teams Australia also getting many new players because all those old best players already retired. It is the common thing all teams need to face when their experienced players not there in the team. Also, most of these young players play more short format cricket nowadays so that consistency is not there just come and hit. Just look at SL team now, they also got all new players and their performance is very very bad.
Well they are doing well in bowling but batting isn't upto the mark right now , I think they can come back to their winning form if they try more all-rounders like Stoinis .

Indian pitches are mostly supporting for spin bowling, and Australian batsman is not so good on these pitches, and that's why we see most of their batsmen failed to score big runs. But if you notice 4th match whether played was a flat pitch, and that's why Australian batsman can manage to score good runs and won the match. Even Indian team goes to Australia they will also face similar issues to bat on fast and bouncy tracks.
This issue for not only these two its for all teams because home teams take advantage and prepare pitches for supporting own teams ICC doing many reforms they need to check this as well and bring system that all test and one day pitches must support both teams this can bring more interest for fans also because this will bring more entertainment for them

BCC (Indian cricket board) is worlds richest cricket board and I don't think ICC can put pressure on them because ICC is earnings are more from where ever Indian team is playing cricket. But anyway if India goes to Australia then they have to face the same situation like what Australia as faced in India. For this, you should develop a skill to play both on fast and spin pitches instead blaming on pitches.

This has been old debate and will be continue in the future as well. There is nothing wrong to prepare the pitches according to the requirements of the host countries , opponent should be ready to accept the challenges to adopt and perform in the different playing conditions.

Yes BCC is the highest revenue generating cricket board, and it has the capacity to change ICC decisions. But to preparing pitches, it completely depends on country board where the event is the host. ICC can just give instructions, but I think no one will follow that everyone will prepare pitch like supporting the home team. That is why the away teams players will suffer to play on away pitches.

It was a wonderful game of cricket played by Sri Lanka,it looked liked Pakistan had a modest total to chase and SL just ripped them apart with their former captain leading from the front,i did not know that he lost his captaincy, either way with just 136 runs to get i really cannot imagine how Pakistan messed this one up,really an unpredictable team. I agree with you. But the Australian and sri lankan cricket boards are responsible for that. They relied on their former player too much and don't make their reserve bench strong enough.
And one of the fact is every country is not performing well in the overseas condition .

I do agree as the Australian batsman should be used to playing on Indian pitches by now as most of the players play in the IPL. Like I said, Australia did play well in stages of each of the games but India were simply too good for them. But Australia really do need to work on their batting a lot more when playing on Asian pitches.

The one day series between Australia and India was quite one sided. Never thought to see this performance from Australia. Though both played well, but it seemed Smith's team lacked something on field. India is a well molded team to snatch victory ofcourse, but competition from other end would entertain us all, no matter whoever wins.

Yes it was a one sided series with India winning the series 4-1 however I did think Australia played well in stages of each of the games but mostly their batting let them down in this series. Losing wickets easily on a consistent basis. I was hoping for a closer series like in the test match series but maybe the Australian players minds were elsewhere with the upcoming Ashes series against England. Congrats to India on the 4-1 win.

Well played team India, put consistent performances on the board which, though India wins this ODI series 4-1. A disappointing performance from Australia, did not make a big score. Anyway a one sided series. Not much competition. Thoroughly dominated, thoroughly outplayed. India far superior side.
