At this moment when the market is low the important terms are finance based. Bull trap is when the market recovers a bit, everyone jumps in, and then the whales dump it down again to capitalise. Lots of bull traps right now, but it's difficult not to get trapped

Firstly there's an error in the title, it's Cryptocurrency.
And there are lots of terminologies associated with cryptocurrency it can not all be covered in a few, simple lines. If you are going to discuss such an exhausted topic you should go the extra mile in bringing out lots of facts that would match any previously posted.

Bagholder: people who purchase a currency at an ATH or during a bull run

I think this term, bag holder means someone who missed out on the during the ATH and is holding unto the coins which has dropped in value, expecting a future Pump.

After regularly browsing through the forum one is bound to become familiar with the most notable terms which are used during discussions.

This thread which has been highlighted contains all information concerning the subject, I use it only for reference as most of the terms and abbreviations are not commonly used.

Thank you i really appreciate it

Two big corrections to make here...

Hodl: is simply a misspelling of “Hold”

"HODL" actually does stand for something today, it stands for "hold on for dear life" and refers to the mentality that die hard bitcoin enthusiasts have to stay invested even during the darkest days. The origination is due to a misspelling of "hold" but the person was using the word in the context of not being able to predict the market and admitting to having a fuck all attitude, he was going down with the ship!

This is a significant bitcoin reference and anyone getting it wrong should not be declaring themselves as some sort of authority over bitcoin related terms. (This is especially true for someone who registered on this forum in 2014).

Bagholder: people who purchase a currency at an ATH or during a bull run

Bagholder in no way means what is stated above. A bagholder is someone who owns worthless stock. So in the crytpocurrency world a bagholder is someone who bought into a shit alternative cryptocurrency (based on hype or who knows what logic) and still owns these worthless tokens. Anyone who owns Bitcoin Gold is essentially a bagholder.

Sometimes I forget what is the meaning of some terms, so I decided to do a little research and share with you guys some of the terms that we are using here in the forum

Hodl: is simply a misspelling of “Hold”
ATH: signifies all-time high, as in “all-time price high.”
FUD: fear, uncertainty, and doubt
FOMO: fear of missing out
Bagholder: people who purchase a currency at an ATH or during a bull run

What other terms do you know that we are currently using in the forum?
