This shit is the most evil virus ever invented till now. It is very old btw. You can't do anything but pay what they ask if you want to save your files.

And never say "i am protected, it won't happen to me." It happens. Even if you're using an antivirus software, just back up your files from time to time and you'll be fine.
Well, if you do not open files that you don't trust, it will never happen to you.
In OP's case, that should have been totally preventable, he downloaded a file from the desciption of a youtube video... A pretty iffy youtube video to say the least.

Such information has to pe posted more often on the forum and especially ways how to solve the problem. Many users hold big capitals in bitcoin waiting to the price fly so high to cash it out in one moment or to invest this money in something else.
Please, write if you suceesd with the virus.
You think, of course yes so that other users don't fall for this virus software. And lets make an cure.

I will be pushing this thread to the darkweb traffic, to users on other forum to avoid these "Virus"

I need it to reach to millions of eyes to void these software.

hopefully your backups are safe , in general if you can't remove the virus then maybe you should get rid of all your files and download windows again and start from the scratch
in my early days I got a similar virus but thankfully it was only using my laptop power to mine , my bitcoin were safe but I can't remember how I deleted it

Yea that's what I will be doing removing my Os and ad a new one. and I almost forgot to tell you guys, I got an email from coinbase saying a Iphone device was trying to access my bitcoin wallet, so I assume they get my Coinbase logins as well. Thanks to Coinbase for the
alert they have good security, I immediately change my email and logins. So i'm 100% convinced hackers are real.

If you see video on YouTube with blocked likes/dislikes and when comments are disabled, you must know that there is something wrong with it.
There is no bitcoin magic miner, there is no bitcoin hacks - if you download anything of that sort - the only hacked person will be you.
On this channel you can find: bitcoin doubler, Coinbase bitcoin adder, $25 hack every minute with bitcoin - THERE ARE NO SUCH THINGS!

the wise thign is to do always a backup of everything, meaningless things included, you never know what coudl happen in the future, with a backup all virus like this are rendered useless, because you can secure erase your solid state and install again windows, can you remember how the infection happened, you opened a strange email? never open a fishy email next time

You know these links are constantly changed, so this will not stop someone from downloading the software... right. In any way, you should also

hope that your backups were also not infected. I make incremental backups on DVD's and never overwrite previous backups. If files in your

backups are infected and you run it again... then you will just have the same problem. Sandbox any weird stuff you download and make constant

backups of your most precious files.  Wink
Let's do a community effort to report the video at least, it just takes 30 seconds to do so.
I've used these parameters to report it:

CryptoTalk.Org - Get Paid for every Post!
I was also got infected few months ago while downloading an altcoin wallet but that was not ransomeware. It was a malaware but that make my laptop restart automatically on start. I had to format my laptop but luckily i had made backups of my important files. I have done some digging on cryptolocker and found that there is no any solution for it other than paying ransome to hacker or just forget about your files by formating your whole computer.

Ok thanks guys I really appreciate your feedback, I was thinking about paying the $200 they ask for.
I will just bring it to an I.T. guy to remove the Os to get it brand new again. Please be careful of these virus.

I will try to find the video link on YouTube so that you all avoid this software.

You can remove the ransomware by using Malwarebytes in safe mode. https://www.malwarebytes.com/
However for any files that have been encrypted, you either say goodbye to them or pay up.
The new Cryptolocker variant has no known decryption, and the chance of it getting one in a timely manner where it will matter is very low.
Backup any files that are still accessible and important.

The best (only good) way to deal with ransomware is to format your drives and then recover from the backup that you made before you got infected.

If the attacker was lazy, then you may be able to find a working decryption key if you search the internet for a while.

If the attacker was not lazy, and you don't have a backup (why not?), then you can try paying the ransom.  There is no guarantee that they will release the decryption key.  They might just take the money and disappear.  However, most of the time the key is released once the ransom is paid.

you should probably make a backup of your harddrive before any important files are damaged/deleted.

after that you can see if maybe there is a way to decrypt

They are only asking for $30? used to be $300... just pay it.

and how did you get infected anyway?
I got infected after installing a BTC Miner software I see after watching a Youtube video how to use software.
They ask for $200 to recover the PAYUS file these are serious hackers. Embarrassed

if you can back up the drive do it... otherwise reboot in safe mode, try to save your most important files to external drive
