If the OP's friend doesn't really need money for now then it would be better to just let those coins sit on his wallet and give it a few years or wait until market condition became good then maybe the value of his coin will grow that time.
The only good one on that list is electroneum which pumped a few months ago. The others are unknown shitcoins that have no hope in a bear market. Sell them while they are still listed on an exchange and switch to top 20 coins instead
You should explain the risks in the cryptocurrency world too. So your friends' expectations are not too high, because prices are very volatile, depending on market conditions, news, speculation, and other influencing factors. Moreover, joining Airdrop is not very expected at this time, allocations tend to be small and low prices, need extra patience and luck. Try another way, if there is no capital just try bounty or do another job that pays using cryptocurrency.
Airdrop pays but i have not really benefited from it. Though, i have seen people that made good money from airdrop. He should give it a try. He might be lucky. He should as well do some bounties.
Forget about these coins for a certain time, and remember them when they are at a height and close to the cherished price. If these coins to sell now you especially will not get rich, but you have a chance to sell them much more expensive if you save them for a long time.

Obviously, it looks they do not have big supporters. Personally I have only heard about one of them name. Anyway, who stores them has information about and he knows how potential it is. Therefore, he should make his own decisions by doing research. 1)Apollo currency

If most of his coins were not that popular then must start getting those popular coins to make his portfolio valuable. What coins are valuable, here are some of it
- BTC
- ETH
- LTC
Only electroneum ring a bell to me and the rest is all shitcoins so don't expect some huge gains in the future, just saying. If I'm in his shoes, I will just dump everything and concentrate on bitcoin alone. Doesn't make sense to hold them cause majority seems to be shitcoins.
If you do not have the funds to buy other coins or to trade, you can choose what some successful bounty project and take part in it. Because some of them are still promising, I think. Or sell these coins and buy something more reliable and promising.

I believe, there's still hope for he's portfolio, so many projects were seen to be dead, until they rose and did wonders. The coin on your list may not be very promising from our current perspective, but something can happen. If he has held the coin since 2017, then I believe its advisable to hold on a little more. To be honest, I didn’t see the projects listed before. I think it is time for your friend to research about the coins in his portfolio. If there is no potential, it is better that he quickly sell the coins for stronger coins such as BTC or ETH while he look for better coins to invest in.

How much his total net worth with these shitcoins? $50? $500?
If it is $50-100? Don't bother to do anything. Maybe they'll become big in the future, if not, you'll only lose $50.

This idea is a good one but i will add some to make it better.
If your token worth 50USD or more then you should exchange it but you need to do something first.
1. You need to check on the project and its team it might be subject to go high anytime in the future.,
2. a coin with less than 20 USD total value should not be touch and let it stay on your wallet as the transactions fee will eat the money.
I also have a lot of coins that cost no more than $ 50. But there's nothing wrong with that. Now it is very difficult to get a good payment for the bounty. Therefore, it is better to leave these coins in case the market grows.

He just need to wait more time until it listed in good exchange where there will be a good price. I also have coins that not yet listed in market and some of them are not popular but I know in the future some of them will become valuable. 1)Apollo currency
