Is there a way to cancel transactions and withdraw the funds?
Unfortunately, not Which is why be extra attentive when generating any type of a transcation on Blockchain.
This is one the reason crypto is not that popular. Lots of people use it for bad reasons
and, say, the forgers use it as well.
What forgers are you talking about? Lots of scams yea
Fake crypto exchangers are pretty popular nowadays. The service is made as a true one, but the rates are sp nice that it feels wrong. But thre are some who still buy on that and give thier money. The moment the money has been trasacted the scammers are gone.
So many people have suffered form the scheme. Be careful.

I stand with Ukraine.
Just wait for it but I don't think it is going to get much progress in 2019 as a payment system since the prices fell too much so firstly the prices need to recover and then it convinces people to invest more and then it maybe considered as a payment system looks like a longer process for me.

If crytpo actively used as payment system the price actually doesn't matter. Say, you are selling t-shirts for BTC, and the price of 1 t-shirt is equivalent to $20. It would be 0.005 BTC per item, if BTC was $4k, or it would be 0.0005 BTC per item if BTC was $40k. The only thing that matters is stability because no one wants ending up with 20% less of the profit if Bitcoin drops 20% before they can exchange it for fiat. And even that situation is manageable because you might as well have the reverse scenario when your profits become higher. So, in the long run the ups and downs compensate each other, and your business doesn't suffer from accepting crypto but rather benefits from that because you have additional customers who wouldn't buy from you otherwise.

I hope it will be realized soon. I really hope that I can buy games in Steem and top up using Crypto. through the platform itself, so you don't have to leave the house, everything can be done easily. isn't this what we have always wanted?

You were able to buy games with crypto at Steam in the past (and it is Steam of Valve, not Steem of Steemit)

And what d'ya think? They disabled this option and abandoned their support for cryptocurrencies some time ago. The official version stated it was due to insane volatility of Bitcoin prices (or whatever other coins they had been accepting). But myself I'm more inclined to think it was rather due to lack of demand from players as with sufficient demand it is easy to hedge against volatility without incurring a lot of financial overhead. On the other hand, with low demand this overhead may actually become prohibitively expensive

Payment Gateway Allows Recurring Payments
accepting Bitcoin as a payment method is indeed very good, but still not received by many people, for various reasons,
In the forum many transactions are held with bitcoin payments so I don't agree with that. Widely, yes for some reasons they just can't accept bitcoin because they are not yet ready for it.
I have read the news that in some countries you can use Bitcoin as a method of payment for goods and services such as in the Philippines and Brazil,
It's not just with those countries, many countries now are becoming a crypto haven.

Hi guys.
I'm wondering what's your opinion on the goods purchased in currencies other than euros or dollars, say crypto. I'm aware it's being used as a regular currency in various fields now. There are, for instance, lots of successfully run marketplaces based on crypto out there.
Over the past year, the market capitalization within crypto soared to the Moon.  Unfortunately, it's been a bear trend for a while now and no one can say for sure when it's gone. However, I am still thinking there's some light at the end of the tunnel - new market, pretty few competitors, great potential. So it's high time to become an active user.

So that begs the questions: Your thoughts on crypto as a payment method? Any progress achieved in the upcoming year?

-- pretty few competitors.

Oh no mate, that's where you are wrong. That will never happen again because people are usually coming in because projects lacks something that the other have. People are finding solutions for their dilemma.

I think its a great idea. Since people are already going cashless with these online payment methods such as WeChat Pay and the others, we will be seeing more I think.

Since the beginning of crypto, there have been many developments, especially bitcoin. We can see the development of crypto as a currency with several bitcoin ATMs in several countries. With the existence of the ATM, it indicates that crypto will soon become a new trend to carry out various transactions, provided that the other bitcoin or altcoin are legalized by the government in their respective countries.
Right. There are already numerous atm machines right now that have been posted in different countries so i guess this is just a preparation that we are heading for bitcoin's mass adoption in the future.Hopefully 2019 will be a great year for bitcoin through seeing the price recover from its bear trend which will definitely attract more people and even investors to believe in bitcoin again.

what I expect from this year is that crypto can experience a price increase again so that many companies are willing to accept bitcoin as a payment tool, because from yesterday bitcoin still cannot be adopted by large companies

Right now it is very difficult to use cryptocurrencies in our daily transactions in order to purchase goods.
We need to solve some other things first such as scalability and I think that we need a coin dedicated to this usage. Bitcoin is for me a way of storing value and I would never use it in order to make daily transactions because I would feel that I buy milk with gold.

Crypto will be a payment method for goods but it will not happen in 2019. Crypto popularities growing but still a very low percentage of people aware of it.

What about such shops in Russia?
I heard about these ones, dude. Headquarters - a coffee shop in Moscow,  Another coffee shop in the mid east of Russia, some restaurants,
I am hoping Burger King will take its promise and add BTC as a payment method by the end of 2019.
