maybe in some small countries there seem to be some who accept crypto payments usually not in big cities and only in a village or far from the city, in my country even in big cities it is forbidden to make buying and selling transactions with bitcoin anything except using currency official fiat from my country, so I have to comply even though investing in crypto is not prohibited in my country

whatever it is I also hope that in my country I can freely transact using crypto money to buy something for real or just buy a cup of coffee in the future

Bitcoin have been accepted every where but still with small companies right now make bitcoin as alternative payment digital currency. I know with small project could help bitcoin will be popular after accepting every where, but need many store and company accepted bitcoin for giving price effect. But if have bigger company or project want to accept bitcoin as payment digital currency I tjink drastically give bigger impact and make bitcoin can reach to higher price. I have planning witb my store for accepting bitcoin as payment transaction but still think what the best wallet kind use for my store.

The issue I really see is that most people are not running their businesses properly and if they took BTC / crypto would just use a gateway like BitPay / Conbase to flip it straight to fiat and then to their bank accounts. All it would do it churn the coins.

What we need are more larger institutions to take BTC and work down from there. If your landlord / power company / insurance company / whatever take BTC.
It would then work it's way down to the smaller businesses.

Just my view.

which in essence they only adopted the outer layer, not completely. so some people who run businesses that accept bitcoins just use the gateway. Crypto is just an intermediary that will make no difference to fiat Digital. no adoption is truly universal adoption. big companies will still think about accepting bitcoin fully, they know the risks involved and it also depends on how the regulations are applied, because each country provides different regulations.
small businesses also require faster returns and also transactions made must be fast and inexpensive. such as the development of the bitcoin lightning network which is the best solution for small retail payments.

Question I guess, if people would be still willing to transact using crypto, especially at this point wherein the market is still down. What's likely to happen is that users, especially investors, won't prefer using theur assets to buy things. But the idea or thought is there -- adaptation. Given how unstable the situation is, I think it will be still a long run before fiat and crypto coexist on a daily basis. It is just amazing how crypto related ideas are being raised for awareness to those who are not knowledgeable into it yet.

Well the down market has damped peoples enthusiasm as of now. But as we all know crypto is going to come back roaring soon. But yes rather than spending their crypto people are preferring hodling them waiting for a raging bull run soon in the near future.
In my opinion it is a bad idea to transact with your crypto now.

To me threads like this, and we've seen a few lately, make me wonder if there is significant street level adoption happening in poor countries or is it just that people on the forum when they see something open a thread about it.

The other day I went to a burger place and saw that you could pay with Bitcoin and 3 alts, but I didn't open a thread about it, even though it's not common where I live.

Correct me guys if this wrong.

Isn't it that a person there will only be taxed if he exchanges his crypto into fiat? That goes where the profit from crypto goes if an individual exchanges his crypto into cash, right?

I correct you: in general paying with Bitcoin is considered for tax purposes as selling bitcoin.

If I remember correctly, Mastercard has announced a new trading agreement. They announced that payments can be made with cryptocurrencies. People cannot give up on this technology. If not today, it will be tomorrow. This agreement of Mastercaard is very important.
It is an additional option for current mastercard users because previously it was not in mastercard. But with the addition of these options in the mastercard, mastercard users have made it easier with the presence of payment options for cryptocurrency into it. I am also very happy to see the development of cryptocurrencies that have collaborated with mastercard so that the use of cryptocurrencies will automatically increase over time when mastercard users are those who already know about cryptocurrencies.

Well, with or without taxation. The adoption of cryptocurrency acceptance is inevitable and no government can stop that even if they imply huge taxation or bannable offense, they just can't stop the community since it's everywhere in the world.

Is the area a tourist? Because the value in US dollars is rarely put in the popular markets, which is shown in the background of the image.
The price of coffee is less than a dollar so it would be great if there was a lightning network payment option but it is good to see more daily use rather than speculating in these currencies.
If you use social media, this person will get more visitors.

you can see the price is stated in $ and in Indian rupeez both. $0.3 is stated equal to 20 indian rupeez. and yes banglore is a pretty famous tourist destination in India.  plus it is a technology hub of india. millions of people are there doing jobs and streets are full with people every time. this Team seller is very smart to accept Crypto as a payment for his tea. and it'll surely attract a lot of people.
hopefully more wonders and business also adopt bitcoin and crypto like this young man all over the world.

Amidst the heavy taxation on cryptocurrency, the acceptance of cryptocurrencies have been increasing all around. A fine example for the same is the acceptance of cryptocurrencies by this street chai (tea) Shop accepting cryptocurrency. This is located in Bangalore which is one among the IT City of India. Hope this creates awareness and increase of usage among Indians.

Very lucky for small traders like this, selling tea and accepting payments with crypto. I see situations in some countries that still don't allow everyone to use crypto, especially for small traders like this, this should be an example for countries that prohibit crypto from being used in their country. Hopefully all countries that do not allow crypto realize how important crypto is to strengthen the economy in their own country for a better future.

How i view things is that, how many vendors in the entire Bangalore is accepting cryptocurrency. It is a IT City but majority of the shops does not accept cryptocurrencies as far as i know and a street vendor accepting cryptocurrency has become a news worthy article. Hope he gets more business with this publicity and since you mentioned high taxation, i wanted to know whether the street vendor is accepting the correct amount or it includes the tax  Wink.

This is an excellent initiative to make cryptocurrencies an alternative means of payment to pay for a cup of tea or other menu item, and I had previously heard of coffee shops accepting payment for a cup of coffee.
Tea and coffee are our friends in any situation and also liked by teenagers to relax and also discuss, and most cryptocurrency users are teenagers and can be a place for them to gather and discuss and exchange ideas about cryptocurrency while enjoying a cup of tea and being able to pay for it with cryptocurrencies.
and if it's in my place for sure I will visit it because I like tea and coffee and will pay for it with cryptocurrency and besides that it can introduce cryptocurrency to people who don't know it and know its function other than investment.

A good initiative so far. I don't know if the shopkeeper got enough response receiving bitcoin as a payment method, but it's pretty sure he is adapting bitcoin. Bitcoin is legal in India so it's a good opportunity to adapt bitcoin. I can't see my country this type of adoption due to government restrictions. Hope someday I can keep my role on Bitcoin adaption.

Isn't cryptocurrency still illegal in India? Or now there are new regulations regarding cryptocurrencies? But in fact, even though crypto is still forbidden in a country, it does not guarantee that its people are not interested in crypto.
Most are legal as trading and investment assets, but not to be used as legal tender. That's how the government has made cryptocurrency rules all along, they tax it for profits while they limit its use as a currency. Maybe to this day the rules are still the same, but some people are brave enough to adopt them in their small businesses as a nice form of support for crypto.

I think some users from India can confirm your question clearly especially regarding regulatory issues, but I assume that India has not legalized crypto as legal tender a quick google search.

I think not have bigger impact exactly for costumer whe  using bitcoin as payment currency for street thai tea shop. I think they spent under $1 of bitcoin amount for each time transaction. Not any impact between seller and buyer about botcoin price dump or not if the owner of street thai tea shop convert their bitcoin accepting to be diat in daily day. But the owner maybe have another planning after accepting bitcoin as currency payment transaction probably when bitcoin price still dump. He has chance get profit from not his store but also get opportunity as investor hold bitcoin still with lower price.

In next 10 to 15 years crypto currency is available everywhere. Everyone loves to trade in crypto coins. Because this is the international currency which have no specific restrictions on transfer from one country to another country. This is the beauty of this currency.  This currency was introduce in 2011 and in 11 years. It gains massive popularity.

looking at the picture and it's whole concepts, it makes me realise that no business is too small not to accept Bitcoin as a medium of payment if truly they want to, because it only takes one who understands Bitcoin, how it works and trust the movement that could do what this tea seller just did. because many will try to find excuse why not accepting Bitcoin for such a small tea business such as this, but he never did, which is very nice knowing people are making effort in the Bitcoin mass adoptation and usage for common purchase.

Perhaps, the adoption has been quite growing this time due to some places already accepting Bitcoin and even legalized this as a mode of payment. This will imply that we are not going to fail and it pursues the main goal of being a currency.
Maybe 5 years from now many countries are already accepting Bitcoin and people use this instead of fiat money. As I see the growing sentiment of online transactions it was more advantageous to use Bitcoin. Well, the current situation isn't really we felt its acceptance but surely it changes someday.

Isn't cryptocurrency still illegal in India? Or now there are new regulations regarding cryptocurrencies? But in fact, even though crypto is still forbidden in a country, it does not guarantee that its people are not interested in crypto. the fact is that many of its citizens are living because of crypto itself. Therefore, why make it difficult for its citizens?
If citizens can transact using crypto, they trust each other and are willing to accept, why not? provided that they are at their own risk.
