Do you know what is the trading limit before getting the ID verification on LocalBitcoin? I tried to search on their website some days ago but wasn't able to find something about it

Usually, people trade in a public place. I would rather be careful to not get fake banknotes than the person I am dealing with. If something happens you can just use your electroshock weapon in the testicles Smiley
If you are busted using fake banknotes your problem will be a lot bigger

The Face-2-Face exchange is against the concept of cryptocurrencies where all transactions must be digital.
That is not true, as mindrust pointed out.

Quote
In addition to wasting time, it is dangerous to carry out transactions of high value because of the irreversible nature of these currencies. "I read in an article that a man scammed by stealing money after the swap Tongue."
I agree with this (think Craigslist). In addition to that, if you are in a country that prohibits cryptocurrencies exchange and trading, you might end up in jail.

I thought S/he wanted to do so this to be 100% anonymous as most of the exchange platforms ask for KYC "including Localbitcoin." Cry
LocalBitcoins only require KYC/AML documents if you exceed certain trading limits, in disputes, advertising on their site, or verifying for certain trades/situations. Other than that, you can trade normally (anonymously) with almost anyone without the need of Identity Verification.

The Face-2-Face exchange is against the concept of cryptocurrencies where all transactions must be digital.

That's stupid.

Face2Face is literally the same thing as Peer2Peer but without internet. Since people don't fully trust USDT yet, face2face trades will keep happening. Replace FIAT with Gold. How would you get gold for your crypto without seeing the person? Fedex?

Maybe sometime in the future we won't be needing gold or FIAT and only that face2face will disappear completely.

Yeah thats really true because I also think that there is no big difference in such meet up and what they do on the peer to peer truncations literally. The only difference that I see here is, we have to meet with the people in real and then make the trade that we want whether it is selling of it or buying of it. However I am seeing one disadvantage that crypto trades in face2face transaction may not be the best way to do as it could be risky at sometimes if opposite party is coming with dangerous intention in their minds. You see where everything leads now ?

I dont really see any significance of this if we already have the localbitcoins fully functional here ? I mean whenever the transaction has to be made then how can we possibly have the meet up and execute the order which will also take the lot of time. I mean when we will have to make the transaction then it will be very time consuming. May be secure as it would be face to face but what about the time? Localbitcoins can do the simple job without much time spent on the trades. Literally the median time is 0 min to 10 min for any transactions.
