In the upcoming five years of time price increase as well adoption can be expected in much large scale. Some say that mining will come to an end, but from my understanding it is not. Because right now more large scale firms were getting into mining equipment manufacturing. They get into it after strong research about the market necessity. Another thing is the halving which assures the growth.
I believe 5 years from now, Atleast 1% of the global population is going to use either BTC, or atleast ETH, or some other altcoin, lets face it I can send you 5 million dollars to germany in 15 to 20 min, without the whole waiting for the bank to approve, week hold on your money, etc. I do believe alot of the shit coins will not be around 5 years from now, but that is ok, as less shit coins more market cap for good coins!!!
I guess five years later, bigger institutions will utilize cryptocurrencies. I think crypto currency world is growing faster with each passing year. No wonder if Tim Draper to be right and this really happens after 5 years. If not then, however, I think it will happen later.
is very true because the work that is being done right now is making sure that bitcoin becomes a medium of exchange, little by little we see conglomerates and small companies that accept cryptocurrency as acceptable forms of payment and some countries make it legal, so it must be in four to five years at least should be set as an additional payment option if it is not in the forefront Maybe he's still excited with the term. In five years of course it can happen a lot, but a huge tech leap is required for similar changes.

I don't think everybody will accept bitcoin in the next five years. The real problem is the government, regulators, and the bank. Instead of embracing blockchain technology, they have to protect their traditional system for "small" profit.
The world is gradually moving into the digital economy. I think that the governments of many countries will start issuing their own crypto currency. Now they are not quite ready to move to a new economy. But the process is moving in this direction.
Unless the lightning network is a success and becomes easy to use I don't think that Bitcoin is yet ready to handle the transactions on a global level. Although the adoption rate for crypto currencies in five years is going to be tremendous and Bitcoin should become main stream by then. Once the scalability issue is fixed there is nothing stopping crypto currencies from becoming widely used.
