I personally consider crypto currency a digital asset. Crypto currencies have values that you trade for real money (fiat) and it's digital.  Smiley
It's also my definition about cryptocurrency. We can already conclude that crypto's are like that because it's digital. I guess there will be a new kind of digital asset in the future if crypto's will get out of the league which I highly doubt.
We're still at the beginning and the market hasn't reached it's peak, I mean the highest that it can. Adoption isn't on full blast so there's more to go and if there will be a new kind of digital asset, I think everyone will remain to bitcoin.

Cryptocurrency is actually defined as a digital asset that can be used as a payment or proof of transaction. They have been considered digital assets due to its worth in the financial transactions. Knowing also that their values change through time.
right, crypto currency as a means of transaction in some countries but not all countries agree with that method so it takes time that crypto currencies can be trusted by all countries
I think that all countries will never trust cryptocurrencies. there will always be those who will say that the cryptocurrency should not exist

As far as I know and by what crypto pundits explain, cryptocurrency is a type of digital asset as you can buy,  store and sell it whenever you want without third party intervention. So cryptocurrency is not only digital currency. It is also digital asset. And I think there is little chance for digital assets to replace cryptocurrency,  as both of them are interrelated.

Well, actually cryptocurrency is not just a digital currency, it is a digital asset as well.
For example if you buy bitcoin and hold it, it will become your asset and someday when the value of bitcoin rising,
you will get the profit from your asset which is bitcoin in this case.

When you buy and hold Bitcoin, you acquire a record in the “database” of the Bitcoin network. You will receive the profit from owning this “database record” only after you sell it to another person at the price higher than the price of the purchase. It is different from “when the price of Bitcoin rises” because the price can rise and fall, but the profit can be received only after the actual sale, which is not guaranteed. An interesting comparison here is with fiat money, since the seller is obliged to accept fiat money as means of payment from you, whereas nobody is obliged to accept/purchase Bitcoin. Digital asset assumes an entirely new type of relations, not just buy/sell.

@OP, you are talking about digital assets replacing cryptocurrency. Have you ever thought of or researched on what digital assets are. Cryptocurency is an example of digital asset, since it is something that has value, with online presence, but does not have physical presence. There are also other forms of digital assets, so you need to be specific on which you think will replace cryptocurrency.
In my own opinion, we are yet to see an end o cryptocurrency. It has a great future ahead of it.

Cryptocurrency can be a digital asset only if it adheres to several procedures. Cryptocurrency itself is more of a speculative financial derivative that has a certain speculative value, similar to contracts for difference or options. Digital asset, on the other hand, implies the existence of a certain asset.

Digital assets actually refer to all of the assets in crypto I guess, it is a good usage because many assets are not currency so why we call them crypto currency?

I think cryptocurrency is a digital asset because it's available on the internet, which we cannot see the physical form, but we can get the value. I agree that cryptocurrency is a new concept of the global economy and as digital assets, cryptocurrency can be a new solution for people to make money in the future because they can use cryptocurrency as a currency and as an investment too.

Crypto currency is an outgoing trend, one can even say with confidence that there will not be any crypto currencies soon. Digital Assets and platforms, which ensure their functioning, are replacing crypto currencies right now. That is why Digital Assets will become a driving force for the new digital economy.

Thus, it is completely obvious that the Digital Asset is a new concept in the global economy, which is so necessary for the transition of the existing types of activity and relations to the qualitatively and technologically new level, due to current trends.

Strangely, you say that digital assets will develop, and cryptocurrency will disappear over time. However, the cryptocurrency is a digital financial asset that is not going to disappear. On the contrary, the cryptocurrency continues to develop rapidly and to improve. We cannot even guess in which direction the cryptocurrency will develop and what height it will reach.

I agree.  Digital assets will continue to operate and grow.  If the cryptocurrency can not compete well with them, they will win in this market.

True, crypto currencies have become a trend, as well as digital assets, because both have grown well in all aspects and communities, I strongly agree that digital assets will be the driving force for a new digital economy.

I think the thread poster is trying to differentiate between other coins and btc because btc is already accepted as a digital asset i will go further and add Eth as a digital asset as well because i rate both btc and eth as superb longterm holds and they are proven coins with hundreds of developers working and longterm view is always bullish for them.

I also think that crypto coins can be considered a digital asset if buy and hold because the crypto coins are like actions on stock markets and if grow then is a digital asset.

You’re talking about the finance of digital assets. The best part of these assets and that draws the attention of people and companies into investing or using these products. I think we are just getting started. It’s going to be a long ride.

Digital assets was always a thing but blockchain gave it a new height as now users would be able to own their own digital asset without having to be depended on others.
Blockchain changed the way people transact, hold money, stocks, bonds, store and analyse data and now keep digital belongings. People are totally being immersed in a blockchain assisted IOT world.

Strange post of the topic! In General, cryptocurrency and digital refer to the type of asset,of course there are just different topics of stocks, bonds, and so on and so on,so if you can compare this, then Yes, cryptocurrencies have very great potential, and of course in this area will now drain a lot of money and brains in the world
