Bithumb has been hacked for around $20 million, user funds stored in crypto cold storage wallets were not hacked, but corporate funds were moved, it's like inside job and funds might have been moved by individuals associated with the company, so the problem is insider job, it's hard to eliminate.

Today, March 30, crypto exchange Bithumb posted on Twitter that their cryptocurrency withdrawals and deposits have temporarily been paused.

In an explanation linked to the tweet, the exchange writes that at 10:15 (time zone unknown) on the 29th, they detected what they describe as abnormal withdrawals through their monitoring system.

The exchange continues that they have “secured all the cryptocurrency from the detection time with a cold wallet and checked them by blocking deposit and withdrawal service.”

According to the translated note, the incident was an “accident involving insiders” and they are conducting investigations with security companies, the cyber police agency, and KISA.

And my prediction becomes a true story when all of the hacked cases that involved the insiders. The problem s about with the insiders itself. bithumb must take a legal suit against that traitor. That's really annoying how the insider was trying to steal money.

Inside job is really hard to eliminate. Greed for money is man's nature.
But the good thing with this case - they can trace who is responsible because it is within their system. Hopefully, it is!
Even having tight security features will be pointless if inside job is in action.

And again, this are showing us that security will always have it's hole for a hacker doing it's job. Bithumb are getting hacked even they were one of a biggest exchange in this crypto world. Many people will become afraid, and now will be realize if it's better to put their assets in an offline wallets.

Bithumb is the largest cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea and it has been hacked for second time
for a huge number of EOS and XRP. It was hacked last year also when 30$ million worth crypto was  stolen.
This is why we should not hodl our coins on exchanges  as there is no week that some of them is not hacked.
DragonEx Exchange got hacked a few days ago as well.
