I totally agree with you. Age isn't the best indicator of who is better equipped to effectively navigate the crypto world.

I strongly agree, that's the beauty of cryptocurrency. Even teenagers today with enough skills, access and resources can get into
cryptocurrency and are indeed very real. I heard a story of a 15 year old kid making huge money and supporting his family at the
same time with bitcoins and altcoins. If they have the interest, curiosity and motivation to earn and invest in crypto that would be
very productive. Crypto is reaching out to everybody, it's a financial education and opportunity that's knocking on everyone's door.

A 16 y.o student has his/her official representatives - her parents. They are the only people who can decide whether to invest anything or not. Until a student is under age it is illegal for a teacher to take such responibilities.

A student from another class came to me last week asking for help on doing a research paper about bitcoin.
She was pretty fascinated by it all and was intuitive enough to realize that blockchain technology can revolutionize small scale businesses, particularly in the developing world, and disrupt mega conglomerates.

So, fast forward a week, she comes back to tell me that she has bought some eth and is looking to invest in an ICO!

I had a student before who had gotten into crypto pretty seriously, but he was 18 and was doing it alongside his father.

It really made me wonder, what do you think of teenagers getting into crypto?
My first reaction was, "No no no no no no! It is way too risky and you have no idea what you are getting into!"
But then, an informed, educated 16 year old who does her due dilligence and research is a much better investor than a 30 something millenial who is just trying to make it rich and investing in whatever mcafee or supoman shills.
Am I mistaken?

This is a double-edge sword. Right now, blockchain technology is at the forefront of technological innovation. Understanding technological principles behind it as well as successfully investing into crypto projects demands and develops lot of extremely useful skills, which could help her later in life with almost any kind of major decisions. So there's huge net benefit for her. However, as jimbo2000 stated, as her teacher your facing a non-negligible risk that if something goes wrong, you could get into lot of trouble (you could become a scapegoat essentially). So you should probably figure out before hand how to approach this topic in the way the would mitigate such risk. Particularly, be aware of how exactly your frame your sentences when discussing this topic with her.

Age is never a windbreak for investor, teenager going into crypto depends on the parents guild. A teenager can do that as a part time job if in school, or leisure time.

Age is just a number. If you think you have enough knowledge of cryptocurrency then go for it. There is one factor which is hard to find in teenagers though. Patience. You really need that in crypto.

It is a good revolution that teenagers are getting into the crypto world where they can make money for their daily assets, for their study and for their home also. If one is showing interest towards some work then it is our responsibility to taught them how to do that work with the perfection and with 100% output.

You have to differentiate between teenagers being interested in the tech first and trying to learn to code and to understand the technology. Then you have "kids" chasing gains and hoping to become rich quick and focusing way too much time in chasing pipedreams. The latter is not something we want.

You are right that a girl can make better decisions. However, I would still say that it should be forbidden for teens to do such things (and it actually is, most of exchanges warn people that they require them to be 18+), because (a) most of teenagers don't really have their own money, they are probably using that of their parents and (b) this is still the age when parents are responsible for some of your actions and have the right to forbid you things. I think she should do that with her parents if possible.

Sometimes younger people are more cleaver and bright than adults. So for me it is very good option. We need young people here because they can show us something what we can not see

Before, I would say that most international schools are more advanced in academics, business fields and technology. But now even ordinary students have knowledge of blockchain technology as well as out of school. I have a neighbor who is only 14 years old, he earns money in crypto and taught me how to invest. It is not bad for them to learn early in the cryptocurrency. With that dreams, they can be a succesful businessmen someday, requiring guidance of parents and good individuals with sufficient knowledge is important.

The only reservation I would have about teenagers into the market is their knowledge of finance. As long as they play it safe and protect themselves then I could care less how old the individual is. Hell a 11 year old just finishing writing a book about Bitcoin, so there are no limitations in this space. Lastly, it warms my heart to know that the younger generation sees the power behind the tech and is willing to adopt it for that reason. Because you know these kids don't have tons of money, and that should make people think twice about the character of humanity! We are good, and good will prevail!

Age really does not matter. I would be careful if you are a teacher that you don't get yourself in to some trouble. If a student loses a lot of money and then says you told them to invest (even if you didn't) you'll probably have some angry parents to deal with as well as an angry boss.

IMO, its good for people to actually learn and understand more things when they are young
Although crypto might sound as risky and danger as it was

It was always good for them to learn how to mitigate risk and made better decisions.
Even though they might end up losing by investing on ICOs, at least they learn their lesson to do their own research before invest and be extra careful when dealing with financial things

Age isn't a factor in determining how successful you can be. If people are willing to put in the time to do their research and make informed decisions they can be successful if they are 12 or 78.
