Indeed, more people especially those in the world of cryptocurrency if they would feel that the cause and the system used can be trusted and transparent. The more a project is open to the community, the better is the response from people who have generous heart and wallet. Just giving a little can help many people eat some foods and maybe also provide some shelter if possible. Charity is one of the many that cryptocurrency can easily help.

I’m rather surprised that 4 of the crypto addresses listed on the Crypto for Homeless blog page (BTC,ETH,LTC,BCH) were listed seven months ago in an altogether different scenario (alleged escrow addresses for some kind of Crypto Sales): See https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/9nffsv/i_made_a_facebook_marketplace_page_that_only/ (view entire comments).

I would have thought that clean brand new addresses would have been more suitable …

It is a good thought but many who are viewing this as at some point either the company who does this or the ones who are receiving donations can be exploited along the way.
Best to have crypto remittance company take care of the payments then they pay the company in cash and they give the people their food. So those who are putting in the donations there isnt any behind the scenes things going on with the crypto they are sending to the project.

Wow, let me tell you that you were sent by God my friend. I was really looking for something like that, thinking about ways to implement such a thing for charity. The most important thing is staying true to yourself and your cause forever.

Please put up more information about this project not just some random picture of homeless people holding a piece of paper and bag of foods,
How could we know that the money that would be sent to those address would go to the homeless?
And how could we track the project? how could we know if the funds are being used solely to the homeless and not being used for personal purpose?

Taking pictures from random homeless people isn't enough to see this as legit.

What happen to donations you got? Or you just gave them some food?
Don't get me wrong but I think you should keep all receipts from your food purchases and compile it on a file so everyone can see it. If you really mean transparency on your site.

Homeless people can easily be exploited with projects like this, because most of them do not know what Crypto currencies are and a lot of them cannot read. So some scammer can pay them a few bucks to hold up a piece of paper with a QR code and people would think that the money would go to the homeless people, but in the end it might end up in the scammers pocket.

Well it is great that there was a project that would use crypto for a good deed.
This is what we should support but I hope that all of the money that would be collected would all be used for the homeless.

So I was able to successfully get the employees/manager of a dunkin donuts near my school to support my project. They were really down with the cause and even discounted me even though I insisted they didn't have to. It isn't much but I feel great about spreading the word. Big changes are coming!
