Have you heard about this?

Basically online gambling / casinos for cryptocurrency. Would you ever consider it? Do you think it's completely pointless and just harms the crypto reputation? Thoughts?

Personally I think it's the exact same as gambling with fiat, so I don't really see the point in it.

its more convenient for those who held crypto currency to join/participate on some crypto gambling/casino to played. meaning this is not new. except of convenient your privacy are more secure on that and you can spend alot of money that has no limitation. meaning you can do all you want in crypto gambling except of cheating and lending.

This makes sense only for the owners of gambling sites. In the best case, it is a waste of time for other people. I saw several such sites. They were faucets and a casino at the same time.

A gambling that may be a lot of enthusiasts and can enrich themselves in an instant through blockchain technology is a very good breakthrough But if a casino is lonely my visitors think it will hurt investors and have to do disinvestment,
I say that because I've taken part in gambling-based bounty and ultimately no progress.

yes you're right but I personally will not do gambling in the crypto world.
I'm not very good at doing it. better investing in the long run than gambling because of the risk of losing too much.

I think there may be many gambling-related projects here in crypto and there are also gambling sites that allow crypto as the currency used, and I think it's okay to use crypto in terms of gambling because it can provide entertainment and not difficult in the market. so why not? Gambling is fun

In each crypto currency there is a risk. Therefore, there are similarities with gambling.

Every markets has gambling, casino features because most of the traders are doing gambling, taking high risk to get high rewards this is the main point of joining gambling websites because you can earn a lot of money in  gambling but you could lose all your money if you dont have risk management when you are gambling, probabilities in gambling would be just the same like in trading.

While it sounds always exciting to double your coins by gambling, you have to consider that the vast majority of gamblers loses in the long-term and the casino always wins.
I don't see a big difference between gambling with cryptocurrencies or fiat. Besides anonymity maybe.

That's a good point but then again, investing can also be seen as a form of gambling.

But yeah, if someone wants to waste their money, they can just waste it on casinos. The house always wins.

True, but is the stock market gambling too? And when you invest into crypto, there is no "house" that would want to win.

"but is the stock market gambling too? "

Well, in a way, yes. Grin In the sense that there's a risk involved and you never know what can happen. But they're still fundamentally different, no one is trying to screw you over in stock market

The house would probably win in crypto gambling though for what it's worth.

Exactly, and that's what makes the difference in my opinion. There's no third party that's winning when you are losing.

Of course, it's risky to invest in stocks or crypto but I wouldn't call it gambling.

A lot of crypto-based casinos/lottos/betting platforms are coming to cryptoworld via ICOs. Personally, I think that blockchain is one of the best environments for that sort of projects. A lot of countries are regulating gambling so much, that even if you want to make a bet they will ask your identity card to mark how much you are staking. Either if you are good at betting, they won't let you make big stakes, what is unfair i think so.

P.s. I'm talking about Europe's markets.

I don't think most people would be ok with providing their identity, especially for gambling.

Either way, as fun as it might seem to 10x your coins by gambling - I think it'll be more or less pointless. Especially considering the fees, since you can't make big stakes like you said and so on.

Identity is the very best important here in crypto even in some ICO there is big possibilities that they would scam us and use our identities for the purpose of scams. In other words we will being accuse by the fault of the scammers and we were all in to blame.

Gambling is good its a test only to try your luck. But as I observed even in the real world when we play gambling like cards, dice and etc.. Our luck is only at the first and that's the time we are going to be addicted on the game and that is the time we cannot even think our money will just burn in a single period of time.

Yes I heard, I even got too interested and joined the bounty! I think in the market that offers people product, it's up to them to gamble or not! I think it's great news for everyone, people who gambles, will have a good choice's of games and easy way to relax, it will be fast and easy to buy cryptocurrency, staying at home and go for your luck! I don't think there is any harm to the crypto reputation, it's up to people whether to gamble or not! For example a city Las Vegas is famous all over the world and from people, who visited that place, never heard bad review about this city and places, they been visisting, only positive thoughts! So it's good you start to hear about gambling/casinos in crypto

Advantage of cryptogambling is that you dont need a permission from authorities , because crypto status is still not confirmed as a eligible currency ... no taxes needed to pay  also ... take a look at gambling tax rate at your location Smiley

Crypto gambling is the biggest niche for Bitcoin recreation and gambling ICOs are always on profit.

Just check my signature and the interest on IQeon! Or other gambling ICOs like Firelotto.

I wouldnt consider cryptogambling at all,the point is gambling in it self is a game of chance and so no matter what you do,it will always depend on chance. In addition, there can be manipulations to prevent you from winning and thus waste your money. Unfortunately gambling is illegal in some jurisdictions too and so these projects will further just hurt blockchain projects

now the technology is getting better, as well as with gambling. online gambling with crypto bets will be more attractive than paper money, easier, safer and more effective. there is not wrong if online gambling uses crypto as a bet tool.

Its a personal choice, and has nothing to do with the reputation of crypto. Gambling is a game of chance with luck and experience as major players, and like someone just mentioned, investing can also be seen as a form of gambling.
