There are a lots of things we do that are not good for our health. Sleep is very important to our health and it important to sleep well anytime we have the time. Ignoring sleep for days is very bad and could tell on us at the later time. We also need to eat good foods, walk around, read and do exercises which another important aspect of life we need to work on, not just eating and becoming bigger without working out our body
You can't think well if you lack sleep or be deprived of it.

Someone who ignores his health and doesn't get enough sleep, he'll get a lot of health implications because of that negligence.

It is important to check all your crypto investment but no need to deprive your sleep or health because of it.

There is no way to know your limit height in life if you never attempt, yet there is always a boundary to what an individual is capable of doing in any situation.
To enjoy your wealth, you must be physically and emotionally fit, not the other way around. Nobody enjoys his or her money unless they are in good health.
It is your primary responsibility as an investor to look after your health; investing in cryptocurrency should never put your life at risk; your investment should always prioritize your health because selling your properties, life savings, and everything into crypto is a foolish thing to do. What happens in a bear market, and then unanticipated health issues arise? How do you deal with this? It's sweet to invest in cryptocurrency because of the enormous return, but you can only enjoy that as a healthy investor; you can't enjoy your Lambo if you're sick.

I was reading through a thread on one particular board, but I couldn't find the link to the thread where the OP stated that no matter how hungry he was, he would not sell his bitcoin. Yes, he may be correct; that is the true power of diamond hands; however, this should not come at the expense of your health. I'm not saying you should sell all your bitcoin and eat healthy food, but I am advising you not to go hungry because it lowers your good health rate.

There are many unusual things we do that are harmful to our health; avoiding these will not only improve your health but will also help you maintain your physical and daily activities. These are the irregularities that we used to overlook in this space.

Not getting enough sleep: After staying all day, staring at your computer screen, trying to determine the next market movement, burning all of your energy chatting the trend with many lines and trying to explore the next thing that will double your portfolio, but failing to get some sleep after the daily routine, you are not only pushing your health to the wall, but you are also slowing down your immune system.
Getting adequate sleep sharpens your intellect, boosts your mood, and keeps you calm when making crucial decisions.

Not eating well: This is part is very crucial; food is an important part of life and having a delicious brunch and a balanced diet won't cost you much. You don't want to stay at your table all day sipping coffee; instead, have some nice, high-quality meals after work. You don't want to seem thin like a cancer patient.

Take a stroll and exercise: Some individuals are naturally introverted, so getting out might be difficult for them. However, this should not prevent you from exercising; sitting in one location for an extended period can make your job uninteresting and inefficient.

Don't quit your main work: so you invested some money and made a lot of money in a short amount of time and you chose to quit your job is a stupid decision. You might be lucky in a bull market and gain a lot of money, but the same can be lost in a bear market, leaving you with the option of holding with a loss because you need that job to survive the winter, and winters are always long. Make no steps that will cause you to second-guess yourself.

Stay healthy and keep learning.
These points you listed are very good points and very important things many people overlook as part of their daily activities. Health is wealth, so taking good care of once health doesn't take much of our time as it will just take limited time, and after that we return to work. This is a very good advice though and a motivation. We can't cheat nature as sleep is a very important thing we need to keep our brain wealthy by having some rest.

Exactly! On the aspect of sleep,I was tested by my doctor lately, and confirmed that I am having high blood pressure because of lack of sleep.I stay awake working, forgeting that time will tell when it will affect me.He gave me drugs and since then,I have been taking good care of my health, sleeping when I'm suppose to sleep.
So in as much as we are looking for money,we must also have time for our body, and make sure we are in good health.

First, yes, I have encountered the thread also about the user who will choose to be hungry instead of selling his bitcoin. A lot of course have negative reactions on his post. What would you do with your bitcoin if you are already dead or have serious sickness because you deprive yourself? This is just only money, and we can always earn it. But the health, if we neglect it, we will incur more expenses if we don't take care of our health.

I believe that people who consider the death or life situation from crypto are those who are all in the crypto or doing something too risk for their life.
Many people are only willing to have a good income from crypto, and they took ways by loan, all in the investment, and get lost. And at that time, they are likely going to die.
That is why many people are feeling very bad about the life and death situation in the crypto world.
And that is wrong.
We are here for working, to earn money for our life. We don't need to take too high risks that we cannot afford exactly. We don't need to force yourself into that kind of very bad and risky situation.
What I can say is just doing investment as we can afford, so we will not feel that we are at the gap of life and death because of crypto.

Great advice. Sometimes will kill and starve ourselves just to meet demands not having a thought if their is a breakdown in our out all efforts and struggle will be waste. Health is really wealth it shouldn't be taking for granted, health is hope. When their is good health one can work harder and get what he wants. So let's take health first

Once a man, twice a child!
There is no way to know your limit height in life if you never attempt, yet there is always a boundary to what an individual is capable of doing in any situation.
That reinforces the saying, "the greatest risk in life is not taking risk at all." I hope it came out better in that paraphrase.

To enjoy your wealth, you must be physically and emotionally fit, not the other way around. Nobody enjoys his or her money unless they are in good health.
Health is wealth, they say. Despite how simple that sounds, it's the ace. Sick people don't even remember they've businesses while bedridden. All they want at that moment would be to save themselves from dying, not any business(es).

investing in cryptocurrency should never put your life at risk; your investment should always prioritize your health because selling your properties, life savings, and everything into crypto is a foolish thing to do.
Except you see an investment in cryptocurrencies as a hazard, otherwise I don't see how the health comparison should come to play here. Crypto investment is just like any other business investment. There are risks in every business endeavour, though the risk threshold differs for every business. Crypto isn't any different. Again, there's that caveat of not investing what you can't afford to lose.

Don't quit your main work: so you invested some money and made a lot of money in a short amount of time and you chose to quit your job is a stupid decision.
How much does the job we try to protect even pay us annually? I mean, sticking to a 8-5 all the rest of our lives is more slavery enough than the actual slave trade our forebears witnessed in the hands of colonial masters. Take for instance someone who gets into credible project and within 3months gets a ROI that covers their two years salary, you will still think it's a stupid idea to quit their job? Hell, no! I don't think so. For me, I don't think crypto should even be taken as a side hustle. There are countless people who don't do any other form of business or job except crypto business. What I can say here is that it depends on the temperament of the individuals involved. There's nothing wrong in making it a full time job. It's a job; a profession. After all, trading as a whole is a profession just like medicine, engineering, law etc. Crypto trading is a profession too.

Very valid points OP. This your advice maybe sounding well until you re-examine the word "Addiction".
Recently, I met a gambling addict who wrote letter to some casino, telling which one to buy his casket if he dies. To this man, his health is gambling. Any other thing as preached above will even shorten his life span.

It is also worthy to note that crypto is some peoples full time job. It is not a side hustle to many and there is nothing wrong with that. Whatsoever being passionate, Whatsoever bringing money, Whatsoever being expertise is worthy making a full time job.
Exactly,in as much as crypto is paying up your bills, making you have a good and balanced life,it is worth making a full time job. If the energies that are used for other things were put in crypto,we might have been financially free of debts.
Some persons make it the side hustle while some person's put their effort in it to make sure they rank up high,so that the tokens they receive will get their minds off the works outside.

It is also necessary to protect the eyes, the eyes will be dry when facing the electronic equipment for a long time. I see cryptocurrency as a side business. So I usually don’t look at the data like a full-time person with cryptocurrency. But when I look at the data every night for a long time, I feel dizzy and my eyes astringent. Everyone should pay attention to their health when investing. It is useless to make more money without health.

I still remember one day when I start to tried crypto trading, I can't sleep that night. Always thinking about the holdings. What if the price of coins will dump, what if they have been hacked, and lots of things were rotating in my head.
Trading isn't for everyone. Actually, I will take it up a notch. Trading isn't an activity that the majority of people should engage in. The crypto market made it possible for all kinds of uneducated and unskilled individuals to buy and sell coins they mostly know very little about and with money they can't afford and shouldn't lose. Most people should be content with purchasing a little bit of coins when they can and not having to worry about the direction the market moves.

Airdrops and the project's campaign helped me to earn bread for my daily life.
In today's age, you are not going to get far with airdrops. And besides, they are only handed out by unlisted and unknown token projects and the majority of them will never reach a value that you can sell them or exchange them for something useful.

This thread?

I rather stay hungry than sell my Bitcoin

Those people that have full time job, they can treat crypto as their another source of income, whether they're a trader, a freelancer that receives payment in crypto or just the typical investor.
I have also my fixed job and treat this as side but being professional in this field as well like doing DCA into bitcoin investment and spending quality time on the forum.I have also created a similar thread like this but it's slightly different from this one.Like i have overcoming my junk food expenses and some parts of my savings into bitcoin DCA not selling stuff or being hungry for the same reason. Here is the link to the thread : Past Bitcoin journey and continuing the same for a long time.

I would prefer to be the typical investor, the buy low and sell high folk that would check to see how much I've gain everyday. I just can't stop myself and I think everybody else is also doing that.
It's not easy to determine those two levels like what is bottom and peak levels as this is suggested by every trader but in reality determining them is tough job and you need to have analysis of the market at deep levels.

On top of that, it's important to take care ourselves, if it's too much for your health, your profits might go into your hospitalization if you're ignoring your health.
If we are healthy then we can use our funds effectively and rightly said it's better to have less funds in bitcoin rather than having more bills of hospital if you get too weak in the same manner.

I think that the process of finding happiness in life is meaningful. For example, when doing bitcoin transactions, I find pleasure in the transaction. I am very happy, but I may lose sleep and fitness at the same time I get pleasureTime, there is no space for me and my partner to get along, so we must find a balanced space so that we can balance our true happiness.

All valid points. but at this stage in crypto, with how it's widespread, some people have turned this into their full-time job so for some they treat it like a full-time job where you don't get off your chair, you don't eat well, work long hours and don't sleep. Not always but sometimes.

All the points that OP mentioned are valid as it gives us a daily reminder not everything revolves around cryptocurrency.

The problem stems when you trade full-time as you rely on this aspect for your daily/monthly needs. In addition, there are people who trade/invest large amounts of money and the slightest movement, either increase or decrease on its price, means gain or loss of thousands of $$$ on your part.

But I do agree with the points raised by OP though it may be really difficult when you're on the receiving end.

Very good points indeed.

TBH since I got into Crypto and the positivity I get from it and the community it drives
me to be positive also and to be healthier so that I can enjoy my future.

As @TheNineClub points out for many Crypto (trading) is a full time job which does give
the impression of it being an unhealthy job being too sedentary.

Also a few more healthy tips for working at a computer:

Regularly stare at something in the distance to help refocus your eyes rather than
staring at a short distance screen.

Every 30 minutes stand up and walk away from the desk, grab a drink or a walk around
the office or room.

The ideal scenario is to have a sit/stand desk. Changing your work position helps with
better circulation and productivity especially when standing.

there are things you mentioned there to do, i am doing them regularly unintentionally, like walking around and grabbing something to drink or eat, i would also recommend going for walks with some friends or by yourself or walking your dog, you don't have to heavily workout and lift tens of pounds, just some small activities can keep you healthy as long as you eat a little healthy as well, there is nothing wrong with making trading and everything related to crypto a full time job if you're doing things right.

In some countries, crypto is not a side-hustle but a full-time job. 247. There, crypto is their only hope to escaping the rising rate of graduate unemployment.

Well said but you should also know that we have those who are engaged in cryptocurrency industry 24/7 and not because they were poverty driven. These people are doing their very best to bring about a conducive environment for all enthusiast, I'm speaking of the developers working closed doors improving on the Bitcoin blockchain.

The ideas of associating people trying to escape poverty with those engaged in cryptocurrency isn't right. The ideas of Bitcoin been an automatic wealth creator is also the reason many are falling victims to scams daily. when they see the mouth watering offers from this platforms/project they get decieve and they Invest without realizing they're buying into scams.

We also have those that are financially sounds but also partaking in the industry 24/7 and to them this isn't a side hustle but as well not a life or death situation which means you can take interest in picking up a full time job in the space but don't make it a do or die affair.

But I learn many things. The main thing that are you said. We can't invest our own money that we need in our life. It'll harm our daily life. On the other hand, the pressure, that goes all the time in our head.
We should only invest our extra money in crypto industry. If we are not that like high traders or crypto enthusiast then we should only invest that we can afford to lose.

My story: I never invest a single penny from my pocket to start the journey in the crypto industry. I learned many simple things and wait for opportunities. Airdrops and the project's campaign helped me to earn bread for my daily life.
If there are any new people who wanna start their journey, I as a small crypto nerd wanna say, wait for the opportunities and invest wisely and never ever invest your needs money, Only invest extra that you have for future investment.

Not getting enough sleep:
My job and everything I do revolves around computers. That includes both crypto and non-crypto related ventures. I stare at the computer when I am working, I stare at it when I am on the forum, and when I am involved with crypto stuff. I seldom sleep more than 6-7 hours a night + 1 hour of rest time in the afternoon. I function very well.

Not eating well:
Nothing can keep me of my food. I eat very healthy and 4-5 times a day. I would never prioritize crypto over healthy food.

Take a stroll and exercise:
I am physically active and I work out. I love mountains and forests. But I have to admit that life is making it difficult to pack up and go and not do anything for a few days.

Don't quit your main work:
Nope. I have managed to incorporate crypto in my everyday life just fine without it affecting anything else I do too much. I see crypto as an economy that will proper and develop alongside the traditional economy and not something that will replace everything we have known for hundreds of years.

Surely crypto is not a life or death situation. Nothing can be more imporant that living your life happily and single thing weather crypto or any thing shoulld not be given too much importance . Yes crypto is important part of our life but there are other things in life too.

Actually this one point out about making it as your main source of income and quit to your job which give you more passive income and actually the message is right since we really need to treat crypto as our side hustle where chances for us to earn good is there but we shouldn't think about leaving everything just to focus on it since first we don't know how this things end up if we can still see it floating around for many years and we will go in a big problem if our expectation in crypto will not meet so for future security better go with multiple option to earn and don't focus only on crypto for betterment of our future.

Investing all your money into cryptocurrency when you do not have any other source of income can turn it into a life or death situation for you because it is then met with anxiety and pressure. Instead of calling it a "side hustle", i think it is best referred to as an investment option to assist your income. A side hustle sounds like a scheme that gives you little little change to help your life, i don't think that's an appropriate description for crypto.

Stay healthy and keep learning.
I like this last sentence.
Health is very important both mental and physical health. It will lead us to do what should do and not to do something that we must not do.
If we are sick both mentally or physically, we cannot do anything better, it will be worse.
We are working to stay healthy, and healthy means that we are living better.

And about crypto, this is one of the life activities, not the whole.
Points 1-3 are the very important activities to do even we are doing most activities in the crypto world.
Eating well, sleeping enough, and also other health activities must be also still balanced in order to make us also healthy both mentally and physically.
However, point 4, I do agree, but for some people, they focus all on the crypto world, moreover the daily trader. They commonly will only focus on the crypto job, quitting format their main job because they need more times to monitor the market.
And of course, it is better if done by those people who have been having much money from crypto, and most of them have also real world business to run without them, by autopilot, other people. So, they only need to focus on the crypto world.
But of course, back to point 1-3 again also.

In some countries, crypto is not a side-hustle but a full-time job. 247. There, crypto is their only hope to escaping the rising rate of graduate unemployment. Crypto is their way of escaping generational poverty. Because they know this is only option they have, they go all in. I know a couple of young folks who have dropped out of college to go into crypto trading fulltime. The Caveat like you have said is to ensure that there is a balance so that it doesn’t start to take a toll on one’s mental and physical health.
It is good for people to trade crypto and earn but it is true not to make it the main job, the reason is because it can result to poor mindset and emotional trading especially if not making profit at specified time. If you have one side job which is you main job, trading will just be an alternative, I get what you are saying that some people depend on it, left with no other option due to increasing rate of unemployment in their country and you are right, but better if it is just an alternative for it, for it not to build poor mindset that can lead to money loss and depression.

This is correct to me because as an investor there should be a balance in everything, you don’t have to get too excessive with the market, and once you invest always look away from the chart for a while, have fun and build your immune and energy to phase the future. You don’t have to get worked up with anything. Cryptocurrency investment is a risk and invests only what you can afford to let go.

This will be totally for addicted traders or anyone that just like work and are addicted to the work which can lead to precious time sacrificing and devoting it to the work leading to stress and other inconveniences that can in long time lead to health issues. If someone is a trader, he must set time for trading, it should be time that will not affect his work and also not affect him in person, he must trade reasonably and learn how to trade very well to avoid such losses that can lead to depression and not to be able to eat. In anything like trading we are doing, we should be remembering that our health comes first.

Every day I look at the computer, and my mood is not calm every day,Today I suddenly looked back and thought about it,
Health is extremely important, the good mood that has passed away is extremely important, it is extremely important to care about your parents and brothers, and it is extremely important to love yourself.

Every hustles starts from somewhere, I have to starve for few months before I was able to raise enough money and start learning crypto trading, I don't want my case to be 'if you don't have capital you can't invest in crypto' instead I took the hard way possible and on the long run it favours me, my point is there is time for everything and OP points are valid, when things start getting better make sure you take good care of yourself, too much of everything is bad

Everyone has their choice, with limited money it's quite risky to join crypto investing because the market volatility is super fast and we could lose our investment anytime
The crypto senior investors are also said that we always that we can afford to lose when we invest in crypto. So i think getting money after suffering and jump into cryptourency investment is a gambling, it's okay if we are still alone and don't have family to be fed, but if we have responsibility to our family financial, it's better to earn more by working first before we investing in crypto.

Once a person felt the greed they will do anything just to gain more money in a short amount of time, hence it's more like an addiction that won't stop them from getting more. Being an ignorant and naive at the same time will not help you at all, you have to study first before you want to put your money especially in Bitcoin because of its volatility that's why it's too risky. Don't think it is easy to just put your money and invest where in fact you have to be knowledgeable enough to make some profit from your investment.

I strongly agree with this one. Many think that crypto is about becoming rich with no effort and this mind set has caused huge losses to newbies. Never ever quit your main job/business for things like crypto trading , equity trading, forex etc. Such investments must always be taken as secondary thing and never given preference on your main work. Crypto wild swings are in both directions and can rip u off from your hard earned money in days.

Excess is nothing better. So we should balance at all stages of life. Health is wealth. So we must be careful about this precious health.  Those associated with cryptocurrency have to spend a lot of time online. As a result, many of their daily tasks are not done on time. As a result, they gradually became ill. That's why you should spend some time every day with family and friends.

Unless if you are working full-time for a crypto company that gives you weekly, bi-weekly or monthly wages, this one isn't a side hustle. But for the rest like crypto trading, investing into ICO/IDO/IEOs, airdrops and bounty hunting, create/buy/sell NFTs, play to earn blockchain NFT games, ambassador works, etc., they are side hustle as usual.

And yes I go outside for at least a few hours to relax my mind and body, not just spending all day and night sitting on my gaming chair and do crypto stuff (unless if we're under hard lockdown where we are prohibited from going out due to COVID-19 pandemic, I could just watch TV with my family).

Overdoing anything is not at all healthy. If you do not pay attention to your health at the right time, you would have to spend your hard earned money on your health. So it's better to be preventive in the first place. Balance is very important for a healthy lifestyle. Nothing should come at the cost of your health.

I see a lot of posts back in 2017 that people are asking if quitting their main job for crypto is worth it. Some people's mindset around those days were really off, as they think that crypto would just help them sustain their monthly liabilities.
Think of this. Does having an unstable income really worth it?

I even recall back in the days that people think crypto or Bitcoin would eliminate unemployment. Most of those that I found were in Economics board.

What a strong point what's the essence of all the struggle and toil if you can't take care of your health. I agree with you at op that using all you have to invest in crypto currency is some how a decision for the unwise. Going through one of your points which is about what the investor would do during bear market and what if such falls terribly sick during this period how would they cope . Of a truth it's just a business and not a life treatening adventure

Sometimes I wonder how they do it, I mean the day traders constantly staring at the computer screen every now and then or don't they know the side effects of doing so.

Already I'm beginning to see some negative effect as I spend hours on the forum mostly in Sunday starring at my computer screen,  reviewing posts of campaign participants which got me wondering how the day traders will be feeling couple with all the emotional trauma that can results from the market volatility.

Investing and having to stay hungry just to see your investment mature is a wrong approach to investing, what will be your profit if you die leaving your investment and don't forget this isn't the traditional investment that your next of kin can take possession of your investment that easily if you pass away. Already we're advise to only use our spare funds for investing and not urgent money that will be needed for our daily needs therefore having to stay hungry just to watch your investment grow is a wrong way of investing and shoudn't be practiced.

Nothing lasts forever
This is a good topic to make a thread on. Many people in the forum are so involved with their coins in trading and investments that they completely forget that they have a life to live.
Making money is good but not at the cost of your health. Health is the most important thing to consider in your life.
This is why we should always keep a limit for our work whether it be the day job or crypto.
Keeping a limit for work leaves us with enough time for building up mental health which in turn keeps or physical health better. Taking enough breaks will help us to be more productive the next day.

Not selling your coins is good for long term but not selling them when you are in need of money is bad.
Whats the use of these investments if you can't use them at the right time. We should be wise enough to sell some at the right time to use the money for ourself or use it to buy back more later.

Your points are very realistic. Many people consider crypto as their full time job and spend most of the day online. They do not eat on time, do not bathe, do not sleep.  This is causing huge damage to their health. Mentally they will become sick one day. So I think we must sleep and eat on time. Occasionally we should arrange a tour.

I like the part of your last suggestion. Dont quit work in any case you earned a lot already on trading. Take note that trading is risky. Yes the profit here isnt comparable to our daily job income but the consistency of our compensation on work is 100% unlike on trading that we can experienced heavy loss if unfortunate situation arises.

I find it hard to see some quit for crypto trading that later on regret on their decision when they encountered a grave loss. Now they cant easily go back to their job because of that.

It is completely in line with my current state. I seem to have a kind of encryption "addiction". If I haven't watched the market trend chart for a few minutes, I feel that I have missed a lot of things. Often at this time, my judgment has lost my rational judgment, although I knew it, but my hands didn't listen to instructions from my brain. My mental health and my body have issued an alarm at the same time. So I now decisively withdraw from altcoins, and I will not be confused by him. But I will continue to look for good mainstream currency projects, similar to Ethereum.

Getting into cryptocurrency is supposed to make life better not harder. Cryptocurrency is just a tool for a better life. So if one is to sacrifice everything for it including one's health and well-being, that's doing it wrong.

The simplest and very effective way to handle crypto is to HODL Bitcoin. That's not demanding. That does not require tiring days, sleepless nights, missed meals, and so on. That's simply buying Bitcoin and keeping it in a safe storage. That's all actually.

To those who trade, remember that the crypto market is open 24/7. That's not the stock market. So if you have to monitor the movements of the prices, you cannot do it all the time even if you are a full-time trader. You have to accept the fact that you will have to leave your screens to get some sleep, eat your meal, chat with your family, go for a weekend trip, spend a night at a bar, and so forth.

All valid points. but at this stage in crypto, with how it's widespread, some people have turned this into their full-time job so for some they treat it like a full-time job where you don't get off your chair, you don't eat well, work long hours and don't sleep. Not always but sometimes.
Actually what whenever you take serious will definitely take you serious, for those person's who took bitcoin as a job knows the benefit of cryptocurrency and more especially bitcoin, besides my one of my friend dropped out of from government work because bitcoin and more especially trading, and when i asked he, he respond to me that he prefer managing his coins than working with conditions, so it's a personal determination.

This thread?

I rather stay hungry than sell my Bitcoin

Those people that have full time job, they can treat crypto as their another source of income, whether they're a trader, a freelancer that receives payment in crypto or just the typical investor.

I would prefer to be the typical investor, the buy low and sell high folk that would check to see how much I've gain everyday. I just can't stop myself and I think everybody else is also doing that.

On top of that, it's important to take care ourselves, if it's too much for your health, your profits might go into your hospitalization if you're ignoring your health.

Of course, it depends on how one earns from cryptocurrencies. Some people just buy crypto like any other asset, hold it long term and then sell it later. This kind of investment is less stressful, and you get enough time to do your other jobs

While for day trading, it is whole new different level. One has to keep up with market movements and news. You can not do another job well while day trading at the same time. It will completely mess you up.

Getting loans or investing what you can not afford to lose is one of the biggest rookie mistake ever. It will leave you restless and not psychologically Ok in the long run.

If a person already has a job, they most likely shouldn't pick up crypto as their second full-time job, it would leave them too exhausted. Also, crypto doesn't need to be time consuming. All you need to do is learn the basics of Bitcoin and read some news from time to time. It's the people who daytrade or chase altcoins might find themselves in situation when they are spending too much of their time on crypto to the point when it starts getting detrimental to their health like OP describes.
