These are helpful tips for the whole crypto community to be more secure. I like the featured add-on Crytonite shield though unfortunately its only has only a trial period for 30 days. I hoped this thread will be continuously updated for latest tactics in scam protection.
I tried that, the Crytonite shield but I already used the 30 days trials. As of now, I used AVG for free I think it makes me help to filter those links that contents scam. So, far I didn't infect on malware virus which is very risky for us to make a scam. Yes, I agree that this thread is very helpful and I read it all because I want to know thou how to secure my wallet.

Options to protect yourself are already very much described, but you must understand that there are no guarantees that really could protect you. This simply will not happen because it is a cryptocurrency market.

Nice topic. Scam is everywhere both Airdrop and Bounty and not even that, even some exchange are scam you will send your coin and you will eventually lost the whole stuff. The only way to protect yourself from crypto scam is by making investigations, you can't just invest in a project.you need to check  how solid the project is. I pity some people whoz buying ico. For me ico is a scam. Be watchful

You have got a useful article there, which will be useful for newbies and those who have bee in the crypto space for quite some time now.
One of the most important thing we should learn to guide jealously is the private key to the wallet housing our assets. A lot of noobs in the crypto space have made this mistake before they could realize or learn to keep their wallets safe.

Thanks OP for the idea and your efforts to care this community Smiley.

The best way to protect yourself from scam project is to do a thorough research about the project in question before thinking of investing your money or time into the platform, one of the way you can make a good research to know whether it's a scam or not is to check the ANN thread of the coin to see the opinion of others who are part of the project, just check out what others are saying about the project, is the review good or bad.

Edit:
It would be too good, if the open-post is getting updated time to time to spread awareness on latest vulnerable attacks and hacker's new tricks. But, unfortunately open-post's last update was done on early November of 2018 but OP is active here.

Personally I have made up my mind that before trying any coin I have make sure it is fully in order and the project has a good reputation
And also the exchange that you will trade, look at URL before checking in or depositing your money. It won't consume that much time and it will save you a lot of money if you practice checking URL to avoid scam and phishing exchanges.

Looks like a very well written post. I guess this is going to help a lot of people who are either newbies or less tech savvies.
Everyone just needs to imprint this in mind:if something is too good to be true, then it probably is. Also don't forget, you can't get something for nothing. If someone is offering you something at no cost or at a cost that is too good, then something is fishy and you must avoid it at any cost. Just use your common sense to save yourself from scams.

Such a great and informative post. We have to be on the look out for ourselves and ensure we protect ourselves from scammers. They are a lot of phishing sites out there. I use metamask, can't let this scammers take away all I worked for, although they once had their way, but it not gonna happen again.

Thanks for the thread. I'm always careful, but now there are a lot of scam groups and chats in the Telegram. Perhaps personal data is collected here  when users exchange pm information.
