This is just a general idea of a concept I'm trying to build so I came here to see what the general sentiment is.

Thank you in advance for your honest replys.
That is a pretty great idea and I sure will patronize such an online shop. The thing is having a real life usage or those who are really ready to take the bull by the horn will help increase adoption over time, and with this idea of having some incentives for buying with cryptocurrency is really going to also be an interesting one. It depends on the country with which you want to be operating though, as there are some developed countries where this is already happening, but every single one coming up is not a crowd at all.

I see that kind of project already on the new ICO project. Bitstash its name that is the cryptocurrency accepted marketplace to buy many crypto and non crypto related products over their platform.
Check their Ann thread with the below link mate.

It depends on what you want to sell exactly and for you to get the right response, you must give a range of items you are considering. Opening a chicken business is also a shop but not something I would participate in because what would be the cost of buying then shipping to my country but opening an electronics shop that would sell quality gadgets and the cost will be reduced from the excessive market price by some percentage including shipping charges is what I would surely consider.

In any idea or concept, if you think you can do it and out of your self-analyzation/s and brainstorming, you saw that it will became somehow successful then pushed it and see what will be the result. Since the information was limited and I think you will not disclosed it, I just want to say that pursue your idea if you really want to build it. Crypto shop is a good idea but the point here is execution on how will you managed it properly.

Just be ready with those negative things that you will encounter on the way as that is a common things to happened in any startups ideas.

It is a nice idea you may try to make a shop but I do not know whether it will be popular but I am not an expert of this type of business. Actually you should make an addition investigation to uderstand situation more deeply.
Probably you idea will be helpful for newbies and absolute amateurs who wants to buy coins but cannot because it seems quite difficult for them.

You want to build a cryptoshoop that is indeed a unique idea and not wrong
It's not a unique idea.
This idea has been scattered and many are doing it already so this is not new and unique.

Crypto shop

Clueless. Can't say I know anyone who has tried it. In past years there was bitcoinstore.com which sold computers, gpus, electronics and assorted products for btc. They shut down years ago claiming their business model wasn't profitable and they only did it for the bitcoin cause. I don't know specifics. Amazon seems to do well with online retail due to the "free shipping" arrangement they have with the state funded US postal service. That type of arrangement can be difficult to compete with as we see walmart, target, best buy and other retailers having difficulty competing with amazon in that area.

Amazon offers a service where small merchants are able to rollout their products on amazons website. That could be the more profitable and likely to succeed venture for small internet retailers. Its tougher to offer indirect crypto support utilizing that model now that amazon gift cards are more difficult to obtain. And it seems more disadvantages are likely to be thrown at amazon in the future in an effort to allow traditional brick and mortar based businesses to better compete.

As is sometimes the case with small ventures success or failure can be defined via content, the quality of products and similar things. There have been bitcoin stores and bitcoin retail platforms in the past. It is possible they were "ahead of their time" or arrived too early to market to be successful. If anyone does create a bitcoin store please document the process and note the advantages/disadvantages/hardships so that others might benefit from your knowledge.

You want to build a cryptoshoop that is indeed a unique idea and not wrong, but I think you should think back y for the idea. I think you will not find it difficult to determine the price of your merchandise. On the price of each with a coin then your merchandise is difficult for the behavior, different again if you use a unit of IDR then you will not be confused to make your wares sell.

Promo discounts? buy 1 take 1? referral bonus that would be great.

But what's the specific incentive you are referring as it depends on how you are looking forward in the future with your certain marketing strategy.

Competitors are out there so make sure your prices are comparably low.

You mean like a faucet or something like a % of money from the sold items? Also, I've noticed that most of the items are quite expensive and a simple shirt that I can buy online for ~$26, I can make the same at a local business for around ~$10 or less. So pay attention to that as well.

Building a cryptoshop is not a bad idea after all, however you need to make sure of the price you are selling, for example you are going to usa an altcoin lets say altcoinx, if you started selling your merchandise at around 300 altcoinx since it is equivalent to 10 usd, people will buy using altcoinx, but if the value of altcoinx rises up and 300 altcoinx becomes equivalent to 20 usd, people who wants your merchandise will just wait until the price drops, however you if you plan to accept coins that will be the equivalent of 10 usd, they might just wait till the price of altcoinx rises so in return they will give you less altcoinx and once it falls down, they had got it from you cheap, or if you are going to base it on fiat, might as well use fiat for your transactions, still you need to think up of a way on how you will earn, because if you consider that any coin could be paid on purchasing your merchandiss, people will just use deadcoin or might not buy at all.

Yeah to get the views of members, for me it is nice.  Stuffs of this kind will still help grow the digital coins. Anyway, you won't be the first on this too but you can get some more uniqueness to it. Good luck.

For the first part, there are plenty of those (crypto online shops that sell shirts [nothing special]) but for the latter part, it depends on the type of incentive program you're trying to provide (you might want to give more details).

You might get more responses if you move this to "Marketplace" board (use "move topic" option from bottom left corner of this page).

There is much more to it than what I wrote, but I am just trying to get an idea of how people feel about it, without revealing too much.
Thank you for your reply, I am kind of new to forums, so I will be moving my topic right away!
