The sponsorship of sports by cryptocurrency exchanges does not mean the birth of some kind of synergy between them. Exchanges constantly need to attract as many new users as possible, so they are trying to be present in various communities, including among sports fans. To make it clearer, here is an example. Tobacco corporations have long "occupied" Formula 1 for their advertising. But did this create a synergy between smoking and sports? Of course not.

I agree with sunsilk as long as is free and doing it for fun but in reality like the sunslik said of course there will be money involved in this kind of scenario hahaha  Grin I mean some people want to get rewarded when their guess is right.  Cheesy

and yes I saw a lot of sports nowadays accept crypto for their sponsor even the biggest like Bybit on F1 Team is just freaking cool. It not only do people get attracted to crypto but also I just feel proud that crypto company started sponsoring those cool sports teams.

That's true. I believe that's what's. It's free and it's actually fun if you look at it. Just some few steps to participate. Yeah it's actually nice seeing crypto exchanges partnering with sports team..

Not really a synergy between crypto and sports imo. More of how companies could leverage this exposure of sports into crypto and create bonuses and promotions with it. And if you meant just getting some small bonuses, highly doubt it's worth the effort and time for both businesses and users to actually use such a thing. Such bonuses would probably apply a LOT more with casinos than exchanges. Heck writing this I realized this is the gambling discussion section, why are you discussing about exchanges and sponsorships?

If we were talking about the real synergy between crypto and sports, I'd more liken it to how some sports teams have made their very own crypto tokens. Idrk what happened with it afterwards, but hey, it's something.

Tbh, exposure creates opportunities which could bring in more money yeah? So that's part of it. I'm not particularly interested in club tokens. Cos I feel the utilities are limited rn, except they could integrate more on it that could cause a consistent liquidity flow .but like you said. It's something yeaaa.

Crypto is becoming more inclusive and is integrating into various sectors, from entertainment to sports and beyond. We've seen teams like Manchester City, Napoli, Lazio, and Chelsea get sponsors from OKX, Binance, and BingX, while La Liga has partnered with Bitget. These partnerships have given sports fans a good opportunity to engage with the crypto space and have also increased exposure for the ecosystem.

Due to these partnerships, we've seen the introduction of innovative initiatives. For example, imagine getting rewards for making correct match predictions. Cool, right? And no, it's not betting—you're not putting in any money. It's actually a cool feature; as a Real Madrid fan, I could leverage this to gain some liquidity if I'm lucky.

That's what I came across earlier, and it got me thinking about the synergy between crypto and sports. What's your opinion on this?

It shows the line between crypto and real life use is becoming thinner with time and this means that you will begin to see the application of blockchain in other places like hospital records and even bio data for record keeping and supports for science. This example of partnership with Bitget is not a new thing and I don't know why OP has not seen it all along. What I think is newer now is SciFi, which scientists can use in funding their research work. So from the financial side of things to sport, health and research work, expect crypto to infiltrate every aspect of our lives.

The synergy in all this is the business, the money that is there and that will multiply, the more vision that is given through a famous team that is in Europe, the people will be interested in its participants, it is known that they are sponsors with a lot of money, but seeing this in famous teams will make them want to be part of them and more so those who are fans, I have seen many casino sponsors in some sports and I would like to see Wolfbet in some famous team in Europe and from how I see that they are doing things they have the conditions to do so.

I see this as a natural progression. I think sponsored partnerships help bring visibility to the crypto ecosystem while providing fans with unique opportunities to engage even more with their favorite teams. Who wouldn't want non-betting rewards? It's a feature that can transform fan engagement and onboard new users into the crypto space in a fun and gamified way.

And that is the best marketing for us, as crypto is now gaining mainstream and thanks to sports as well because some major games have been bringing crypto to the masses. So whatever fans you are, like UFC, we've seen,

https://x.com/SatoshiLite/status/1077973730511314944

This is way back 2018 and so a lot of things have chance for the better with regards to crypto an sports partnership.

So it's obviously, a good and welcoming news to us to see the synergy.

I don't know where you might have read this from but sincerely speaking, it would be very difficult for such thing to happened within the casino or betting site, as I know they benefits more and before a gambling site allows you have this benefits then you should look out carefully, there is another way or place they are gaining it back from you as they can never perform something free and never have a means of gaining it back from bettors. Except it's given to bettors as bonus or a something like sign up bonus similar thing there about.

This is probably another Bitget shill.

From OP's post history, I can see that his main intention is to attract people to look at this Bitget site. Since I only like to use old and reliable casinos or betting houses, I didn't click on the address of this Bitget site, but this type of advertising is not a good sign, a serious company pays for advertising and doesn't do this kind of thing. I hope I'm wrong, but I wouldn't use this site.

At the end of the day, it depends on the gambler if he will deposit on this site or not. Even if you click the site, if you won't deposit, I don't think it will be beneficial on his intentions.

i mean stake a gambling platform that is very famous among crypto enthusiasts is literally sponsoring a f1 team bearing their own name

so it’s not surprising anymore there’s a lot more crypto sponsors around sports some are very obvious while some are more subtle but it’s undeniable that there is definitely now a huge impact of crypto onto sports community as well

This has been happening for years now, and there are players that got their salary into crypto already. We've even have tokens as well that fans can used to buy tickets. But not sure how it went well though, because as far I can remember, it was way back like 2018 during the height of ICO thingy.

We have stadium name Crypto.com with LA Lakers, so there are a lot of integration between crypto itself and sports already.

And the obvious, crypto based gambling sites sponsoring athletes from UFC to footballers.

Don't forget about Crypto.com. I've seen their logos on most major events like world cup football, boxing and MMA.

And presently, crypto.com has launched a prediction market for sports. Thus, I started to wonder how many exchanges are interested in exploring entering sports betting spectrum.

I have heard of robinhood's interest, for instance. IIRC, was presented at investors day. Perhaps there are more. It's a booming industry so I'm not surprised the known guys are interested.

Food for thought.  Grin

Yes, this is definitely the way to go, but what does it have to do with gambling? Crypto companies are slowly going mainstream, which you can see when world leaders are talking about it. Trump wants to set up a reserve fund, the biggest asset manager in the world Blackrock is investing in it and Putin wants to circumvent sanctions with it.
Companies advertising on sports events is nothing special compared to that and it's only the beginning.

The fact that we see those sponsors im sports is a good signal for cryptos, I have even see that kind of sponsors in F1, so, that's some great marketing for cryptos.

I think we will see more of those sponsors in the futurw in more sports. So, it's a gg for the cryptos communty.
Even now crypto sponsors are in the big leagues, such as Premier League, Laliga, Serie A and probably many more, last saw Binance was once the main sponsor of Lazio but Binance now sponsors Ronaldo instead.

So it's no surprise now that the crypto sector has expanded to other sports, and I think that crypto sponsorship will be more in sports including crypto casinos more in soccer.

most of the clubs both at the across major leagues have in one way or the other hard partnership with a crypto related niche which has sponsor or partnered to sponsor them and it all sends a pointer to the fact that crypto is getting too popular by the day and the majority of sports enthusiast are individuals that are active users of crypto. the majority of the campaign that runs on the forum has one team that they are sponsoring and for clubs that are partnering with exchanges, it also helps to validate the popularity and trust one can comfortably have on these exchanges since it takes a lot before those kind of partnership works.

this is just the start, and, in the future, we will see more synergy in sectors that are not just related to sports like the aviation industry that might choose to adapt it as a payment medium for most of their international flight and that way, the rate of adaption will continue to touch multiple of sectors upon sectors.

Sports are entertainment that brings about good money for those who participate. Cryptocurrency is a technology that is meant to bring money to those who invest in it wisely. The similarity is that they are both in for making money because these exchanges make a lot of money while sports make a good amount of money. They both partner with each other so they can make more money. If you observe these exchanges sponsor the club they can wear their logos on their sports wear attracting those who view sports to make use of the exchanges. There is always something to gain in the partnership, and it's never because they have any synergy.

Cryptocurrency has been able to blend with many sectors and give rise to new opportunities within simply because it is a new technology that, when accepted, has the ability to create windows of opportunity for people who take advantage of it. Sports is not left out. There is a market for crypto in sports and there are opportunities for people in sport in crypto, so it is a good relationship to the better.
