Say that to projects with good prospects, but all those other shit ones that get lost on the way while their value keeps depreciating,  or maybe those that deviate to other new projects and leave you hanging, it's a no for me. I ain't wasting my time pointlessly
If that doesn't suit you, then it's welcome to look for others, after all everyone here is also free in making choices on projects, no one is forcing someone to follow certain projects that we haven't checked beforehand.
Everyone is feeling free to choose what kind of project they have needed it before. I guess everything will take the time even when a small coin called ethereum becomes a very big coin right now and it needs a half of decade to do that.

I think that the timeline of the project is important, but it has to be drawn with a realistic and professional view... most projects trace unreal objectives due to the lack of experience of their teams, if the schedule is drawn correctly, investors will know that it takes time and will support the project for the whole track...
I note that there is a serious lack of professionalism both from the teams and also investors.

the term is HODL, if you want your HODL coins then you will win if your analysis is correct, I think this season is the right season for HODL, because altcoin goes up 100-200%
observing the market will tell where to put your coin maybe multiply your bitcoin, consider few defi and purchase but like most investors any project hype that makes quick profit should be quick to quit. It is still early in this market and we dont know where it actually headed. I think the breaking of previous ATH of bitcoin will bring a significant turn around and I see some startup coming in. Some with IEO, few private sale and few ICOs (especially those that can prove their genuineness. If we get very good success, the space sentiment could change and will be so gradually into the coming year.

A good example to affirm this claim is the recent spiking of Atomic Wallet Token AWC. This project has literally grown from a few cents some months back to over 1usd recently. This further explains why patience is hugely important in this industry. Not only does it give you more wealth in the long run, you can actually get to invest more by picking up assets at way cheaper prices and watching them grow tremendously in price.

I don't buy and hold new coins from day one, it's a wrong move, you have to keep watching with patience and see how development is ongoing, how dedicated the project team are, I only invest in binance IEO projects and take profit after IEO ends, this is a good strategy, many projects like Harmony and few others on binance have lost value, they aren't bad projects and now is the best time to buy and hold
l agree with your words, there is more risk investing in new projects, that is why most of them useless and wasting of time. But that doesn't mean all of them are bad projects, you should make some research to find the best one. IEO projects are wonderful choice for taking profit, but as above mentioned crypto success can take time, sometimes we should be patient.

Anxiety and greed have made many investors sell their coins prematurely only for the same coin to rise in value eventually. Bitcoin, Dash and Ethereum are good examples, nevertheless, patience for the wrong coin is a complete waste of time.

Coins like Dash and Bitcoin gained back momentum after a period because they have prospects, but coins without prospects no matter how much time you give them, they would never have value.

We can't completely ignore the fact that some projects need time, however, for scam projects and projects without plan or a proficient team, nothing good can come out even if you give it a million years

HODL doesn't necessarily work always, unless the project keeps up with development and grace is on your side too. Just very few coins retain their value or increase over time, reason why we have to be careful with coins we invest in. Patience is very relevant, yeah, but wisely. I apply patience more to my trades after TA and entering a high probability setup, than buying random coins especially due to hype for long term HODL.

Those coins you mentioned had faced tremendous problems before they became stable cryptocurrencies investment in the market. Most likely because when they first launched their coins in the market, only few investors have taken the risk to invest in them but as you can see right now the result is truly amazing where they be able to gain some huge amount of income after a long struggle of holding those coins. If we can only know which new coin right now will turn like those coins in the future, no one will gonna hesitate to invest in it.

People don't want to give projects some time to grow
Why focus on time? Give more time? etc.
Projects should have a reasonable timeline and the developers must deliver (the results). If they can't deliver, the risks will build up and then the project failure rate will increase.
I think investor will give them time as long as the development is still on the correct track.

Indeed, instead of focusing spending time is the most effective way for us to learn a lot more, especially when we do trade in the platform
as well. Although, before gaining success, We need to succeed first to surpass all the obstacle, fear, and more about this matter
anyway mate.

That should be the quality that we have if we are thinking of long term investment.
What we are going to see is not just a one sided movement of the market, the market is very volatile, price will pump or it could dump more than our expectation but as long as we keep track of the project and we are confident that the team is working to develop the project, none of the dump would shake you from holding, you'll never be called as weak hands as you'll certainly hold until your target goal is achieved.

Many investors are impatient and with this habits things are likely to go wrong with their investment. Many projects are thought to be profit given projects but failure to deliver this to investors they tag it scam project. Give time to that project to see it grow, let learn to wait on a long-term for those projects we have made our investment.
study friends, new projects are not for long-term investment. not all bad indeed. but with you having thoughts like that you can minimize the risk of your investment. not many projects can survive in the market for 2-3 years. for the long term, you better choose for sure.

It is funny whenever there is a beginner and he/she expecting that she/he will become rich in just a short period of time through cryptocurrency investments. Before we focus on earning, it is really better if we focus in increasing what we know about cryptocurrencies.

There are now a lot of concepts, ideas anf theories especially when it come to trading of cryptocurrencies. You can access it easily through internet but it is really takes time if you will study it. You will become consistent if you will master those concepts out there.

The success of crypto coins takes time and patience. Developers need time to work and this is not easy. But investors have a strong reason to leave a project. If the project is not well developed and the price is getting collapsed, they will go and look for potential projects. In fact, every investor has a desire to hang on to a project because they see the project continue to be developed, although the selling price decreases. They believe that if the project is experiencing good developments will surely grow back in the future like the achievement of Bitcoin and Ethereum.

God, save BTC!

I think that many projects will simply disappear over time, so waiting for years for the price to rise is just pointless! Almost every day more and more coins appear, and I'm sure that choosing the one that will cost more in a year or two is very difficult!

People don't want to give projects some time to grow, they forget that coins like dash, litecoin, Xmr, Bitcoin etc have a rough start, I'm just saying crypto investment takes years, just because a project drop in value doesn't mean they won't grow better in future.

Projects don't just turn huge in a year, there will be lots of volatility and price loss, for long term hold be prepared, if you can't then go for top coins

Not only crypto success, but success generally takes time before it reflects on the outside world; it could be as a pay rise, or wage rise, or massive return on investment. But because success takes time does not give us the preference that every crypto projects will be a success. Some projects would never work out irrespective of the time dedicated to make it work.

That's given, just as similar to the traditional world, some businesses will succeed, some will fall and success is also not forever, sometimes a business could also fall in the long run. Crypto IMO is still in the early stage, there's still a lot or big potential for the market to grow, so I believe that even if it will take time but I'm confident we are all heading to success as long as we invest on bitcoin.

For altcoins, this market has the biggest failed projects or scam projects, but of course in the long run, those who will survive and legit projects will certainly enjoy the altcoin season or the bullish season.
