Cryptocurrencies are slowly getting popular although when someone who knows nothing about it, they will have a negative connotation about it because of what they always hear in the news for those people who invested using bitcoin and since they don't know that bitcoin is a separate entity, they would immediately think that investing in bitcoin is scam.

If you want to make people be aware of cryptocurrencies then you may start with your family and friends. They would not immediately dismiss you because they know your personality and if you can properly explain it to them then there is a chance that they may consider investing in it too.

I am not sure where you guys are getting all these from? As there is actually no data at all to even back that up and even with all the theories that I have been seeing on the net, it is far less than that. Nonetheless, I believe a lot of things are changing; we are beginning to see institutions and banks wanting to step in.

The likes of Goldman Sachs trying to see how they can at least benefit from the space, Bakkt and all the rest shows that the community is actually set up for some mainstream adoption. It would take those who are smart to know that and be able to take advantage of now, and I believe there are so many smart people around the globe.

But there is no exact number about how many people are aware of the bitcoin, and it is hard to find out. We know about how many wallets have created, but we don't know how many people have the wallet. But I think at the end of 2017 when bitcoin was raising too high, and many people search about bitcoin so at least, we have more people who came to bitcoin but still, we don't know the number.

Where did you get that number though? I'm just curious, when you say that 20% knows bitcoin does it mean that they're using crypto already? Because if they did then that's a huge number for me. Its probably < 10% of the world population is actually using bitcoin. But it doesn't mean that its a bad number though, because we all know that crypto is slowly and carefully moving into mainstream. You just have to wait for another all-time-high and notice the increase of number of accounts in a exchange. Probably in the next 2-5 years crypto will break the barriers and will go global.

there are already numerous write-ups, ads, videos, infographics that are circulating in most social medias, and im pretty much sure more and more people are aware of crypto, but as the percentage is concern, i am not, the ever growing population that are into crypto are tremendously increasing almost day by day, we can see that in the current market situation and the price, law of economics, when the demand is high, the price is also high, even there are millions of crypto that are being mined, and a lot of altcoins are being introduced, it clearly shows that the demand is not decreasing, this signifies that crypto is penetrating the wide range of new users and traditional traders.

It has been loved by everyone around the world, there are some particular countries who take bigger interest than many others and there are some that are not very interested in it but in general it is loved by all.

To think that only 5 years ago when I told people I was interested in bitcoin and they warned me that it might be dangerous and now all of them are attacking bitcoin to get some more is really makes me sleep much better at nights. Knowing that I got in a lot earlier and have been in for a long time whereas they want to get in now but they are way too late for any chance of getting thru the times I have been.

There are people are still doubt about crypto because of some reasons, a reason that may give them negative feedback about crypto. The popularity of cryptocurrencies is increasing with Bitcoin's increasing popularity. But in my opinion the percentage of people who know the whereabouts of cryptocurrencies is still small. Only limited to hearing, most of them do not understand cryptocurrencies.
I began to spread it through social media. But I agree if legal issues are issued by the government in various countries, which most influence the popularity of cryptocurrencies. If the government accepts, naturally cryptocurrencies will be known and accepted by many people.

Speaking of popularity will, bitcoin i think its not that popular because there are many peolpe can't relate this digital money and there are some others who poor in internet connection and this problem have been already. It's hard to believed in bitcoin but for sure you have a better profit in day trading.

People at least must have heard the word cryptocurrency or Bitcoin once. I would say around 60% of the world population are aware of crypto existence. But the number of people who really understand crypto is so much less. I would say about 1-5% (around 70-350 million people) at least know the basic of crypto.

I don't think we should put our time to promote crypto. The whole ecosystem is growing at a good pace now, it will promote itself without any effort solely for promotion needed. The major obstacle now is legal issue and that's not something we, ordinary people, can do about.

Yes it is no doubt that a lot of people are now engaging in cryptocyrrencies. In different country it has been known and used by many people. Though we know that there still country who doent adapt crypto in their country, and some ban this in their country. But one thing is for sure the number of people knowing bitcoin is increasing.

The most popular and well known cryptocurrency of all time is BITCOIN, since no other cryptocurrency can replace it. People around the globe become more aware of the cryptocurrency due to many ads imposing in social media and also stories about a success of a person because of BITCOIN. Maybe in a few years later most of the people will start to used it as they used the fiats. We can spread this by not leaving the cryptocurrency just because of panic selling.

Well, you cannot just expect to wake up one fateful day and then see everyone across the globe accept cryptocurrency immediately. By some data there is 40% of world population who do not have internet access in 2018, so they are for now excluded to participate in cryptocurrency in any way. Most of people in developed countries have heard for BTC, mostly because what is happening last year, it was all over the media. But average person do not know too much about BTC or cryptocurrency is general, mainly they talk about how some people buy BTC for 1$ or less and sell it for 20k$ and make fortune.

So my conclusion is that it is less then 5% of world population involved with cryptocurrency at this moment, and maybe 1% understands the potential of this technology. I think internet is one of the most powerful ways for sharing information, so if you want to help to more people become aware of this technology maybe you should start with your country, make a blog/website and give people information.
