Very important news , They know where to sponsorship because all world is watching sports like: Football ,baksetball ,voleyball etc , this can help to change peoples' mentality about cryptocurrency and will be helpful for cryptos themselve , it is good become sponsor and advertise in sport or in a big club like BARCA Cheesy Cheesy Wink
I agree. If big football like FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League, Premier League are sponsored by cryptocurrency then surely soccer lovers will know cryptocurrency, and they will learn about cryptocurrency.

So, with the increased popularity of Bitcoin among investors and sports enthusiasts some professional sports teams and athletes have landed crypto sponsorships which I think is a great way of spreading the word about the crypto revolution worldwide. Elite sports leagues have a huge fan base and attract millions of viewers every year so the crypto industry as a whole can reach a lot of prospective crypto users all over the world. For example, football is probably the most popular sport in the world and the Premier League is one of the most watched championships and a Polish cryptocurrency exchange CoinDeal has opted to become jersey sponsors of the newly promoted club Wolverhampton Wanderers. Arsenal signed a deal with US cryptocurrency gaming platform CashBet Coin in January, too.
Some professional players are promoting crypto projects as well. Lionel Messi is advertising the world's first mass-produced blockchain phone,
James Rodriguez has issued his own cryptocurrency asset, and Eden Hazard and Sergio Aguero endorse a company making a sports industry blockchain.

Do you think crypto companies are soon going to replace traditional sponsors like fiat casinos and sportsbooks or airline companies, car manufacturers etc.?
I think this is a bad idea if we fund cryptocurrency for professional sports. If the price of the cryptocurrency decreases, the amount of funding will also decrease. This is very risky, and we should not do this

Right. If people use cryptocurrency for sponsorship purposes, then it is stupid. Currently, cryptocurrency is being loved and care. But if people do not like cryptocurrency, the amount of cryptocurrency that we donate will also disappear.

The ball king Messi is also keen on cryptocurrency. The five-time Golden Globe winner has said that he has been studying blockchain and multi-centered systems.
Blockchain technology is applied to the gaming platform, and future blockchain technology will also be applied to athletes' data analysis!

Well, the Bitcoin/Bitpay bowl didn't last too long. It was supposed to be for years and then flaked out after one year.

If I were a sports team I would demand all of the money up front if it was a multi year deal. No telling when most of these businesses are going to disappear in a puff of unicorn fart.

And why is no one sponsoring esports? That's a natural audience, not that I understand why anyone watches other people playing video games.

It is a good thing that cryptocurrency will become one major sponsors of sports. It just means that crypto is expanding and is being accepted. But it may not replace the major sponsors of sports because they are the pioneers and the sports organizations will go down if those sponsors won't support them now.

MMA fighter Rory MacDonald was sponsored more than $100,000 by DASH for his fights in bellator. One of Rory's coaches, Firas Zahabi did a $10,000 DASH giveaway contest for the most accurate prediction on what would happen in the boxing match between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. They aren't well publicized but there are a lot of small endeavors and sponsorships being funded by crypto.

I don't know what it would take for a crypto sponsorship or giveaway to go viral to a point where crypto became embraced by the mainstream and was able to contest on a 1:1 basis with traditional big corporate sponsors. But if that ever happened, that would be the best thing ever.

I'm sure bitcoin will soon be known and used by the world community. This is good news about cryptocurrency, because if many Crypto companies that sponsor it will be faster also crypto is known and used by the world community. But I think for now crypto companies can not replace traditional sponsors.

Also the Manny Pacquiao fight against Lucas Matthysse. You can see on the corner of the ring GCOX.

I am now wearing the signature of it and you can see more information about them in their website. I got shocked also since this guys are like celebrities. If they are advertising it then it might be worth to support it. They wont join in something that is just a scam or it will ruin their names.

Why not? You never know. After all, we are seeing things that seemed impossible a couple of years ago. If this industry continues to grow, it cannot be ruled out that some companies, especially some exchanges, become as big as some of the companies you name.

These steps are made by companies that have a budget deficit and they are ready to attract any sponsor.

Stars will always participate in advertising campaigns because this is their extra earnings. Messi advertises shampoo, chips, now blockchain phone.

I do not see anything surprising in this, everyone strives to make money as he can.  Wink

Blockchain based crypto companies have been using celebrity endorsement for a long time now, in my opinion, it is quite an impossible task to replace all the fiat based companies rather crypto companies will be slowly but definitely compete side by side when it comes to sports sponsorships in the future, afterall, everyone wants to market their products or services to the general mass.

Its all happening now on the internet, we see few ads on websites and adnetworks must be helping. Weeks ago I was watching NBA and found there was a logo of Bitcoin being mentioned by the commentator as well. I guess its where it should be starting before it can really be on the billboards or on the TV itself. I don't see websites being advertised on tv before but travel companies are now doing it already so its going to evolve.
