I'm still watching, just won't be bidding until the last day due to possible fluctuations in the XMR exchange rate.

is that a challenge...   Cheesy

Verified awesomeness ✔
If the coin is marked 2014 = first edition. 2015 = second edition.

There are some other minor changes between the two but that is the easiest way to tell the difference.
Sweet! That means I have a first edition. Grin

I'm unfamiliar with these coins. Is there an embedded private key? If so, how does access/funding work, and are they loaded?

There is not a private key embedded  like many other coins, but there is a code engraved onto the side of the coin that you can use as custom entropy to bind a Monero address to your coin using https://moneroaddress.org. You can take the coin ID and append your own password as the entropy, then generate a wallet using that info.

More detailed info can be found here:

Are there other physical Monero coins?

This is the only one I know of, at the moment.

Interesting. Thanks for the explanation.

i bid 30 XMR!

This is the first edition of the Cryptonic silver monero, I think only 108 were made.
How can you see if it's first edition or not? Do I have a first edition? http://imgur.com/a/oDSmw#iZiIcYI Grin

Sorry smoothie for asking semi-offtopic questions. Don't kill me.
