I'm not sure how long the Byteball campaign is going to continue nor am I sure if this is the last campaign they will run, but in the future if they run more campaigns I would suggest either using their wallet and holding the tokens or using bittrex addresses for payments.

At least if you are using Byteballs wallet, you can send small deposits to exchanges and have a small amount stuck if transfers are messed up.
Of course, Bittrex is the best option. Nevertheless, honestly I have good experience with cryptox.pl exchange, without issues with them (both deposits and withdrawals, very fast).
I also had small bytes stucked in coinexchange.io, my deposits didn't come to the exchange several weeks after sending, lol.

I see it a worst case if your deposited funds didn't reach in the trading site which you're sending with. Let's be more vigilant and always have a precautions before engaging yourselves with those non popular site, and I think that would be a huge problem if their support couldn't respond to you promptly. Good thing if they'll have a telegram direct support so that everything will be relayed properly and could be given remedial actions.

I heard from my friend about same situation with Byteball deposit, so I go check here if someone have same problem. So it's seems that Cryptopia isn't the best exchanges, I noticed that on many other coin are disabled deposit and withdraw.  btw. I have issue with login on Cryptopia few days ago, after I finally login I withdraw all my bitcoin balance that I use for buying altcoin and now I looking for maybe better exchange to trade altcoin.

cryptopia is known to be a hole even after all this time since they seized up.

and why is anyone receiving to an exchange address when the lightweight byteball wallets are so easy to use? it makes zero sense. i wouldn't receive recurring payments to an exchange that i knew worked ok, let alone somewhere as creaky as cryptopia.

This is not the first time that something like this happens on Cryptopia. I try to avoid this exchange but some of the coins are listed or have decent volume only there.

There are few easy steps when dealing with this scammy exchange to stay safe:
- Always double check everything, especially coin info page.
- Never deposit your entire stack in one transaction.
- Send first small amount and check if everything works (transfer, trading, withdrawal).
- If everything works still continue with small amounts and withdraw each time before next deposit.
- Never leave your coins on Cryptopia.
- Never use Cryptopia addresses for bounty or airdrop payments.
- Check Cryptopia social media, especially Twitter before trading (read new complaints which coin to avoid).

This list is growing every time I have a new problem with Cryptopia. Already experienced all kinds of issues but luckily I was always able to withdraw. Sometimes with a big loss after few months from the deposit. Support works slow and they need almost 2 months to answer your ticket with an automated message.

Never use Cryptopia if you don't have to trade there. If we all stop using this exchange they will finally do something. This will be an exit scam  Grin or they evolve and become a trusted exchange. With these volumes, Cryptopia makes a lot of money on fees and listings. Why scam people if you have a profitable business?

yeah sadly cryptopia isn't professional at all , I have a similar issue every time I want to deposit CLAM
4 days ago I sent CLAMs and they aren't showing , so commented on their thread and Lafu told me that he will talk to the admin for me
their support answered my ticket after Lafu contacted them and I showed them that the tx has over 130 confirmations at that time , they said that they are sorry and they will credit my balance soon

till now I haven't got my CLAMs , even they do know that they have the funds now but still they haven't credited me
also their CLAM wallet isn't showing any maintenance which means more users may face the very same problem
Exactly same thing happened with bytebal, and the maintenance status was showed 10 days after the issue had already started. Then they just made a generic reply about they are investigating.

After that around 15 days , the issue was solved and ticket was closed. There will be many more as you, just look around other scam accusations.

However, it took more than 3 weeks to resolve a deposit issue which says a lot about their support efficiency and how their entire site is run. Definitely does not look like a trustworthy exchange to me to use for large amounts, since your complaint isn't an isolated incident.

For small amounts, I guess it's alright as long as you know the risks. But I'd still recommend going to another more trusted exchange (Binance, Kucoin, etc.), Cryptopia has quite a shady past and are still persistent with problems.
I have a friend same case with here it took almost a month of waiting for his deposit issue in Cryptopia exchange site.

Stay away and avoid this site it is probably shitty exchange site they don't have a good reputation recently.

Yeah, that's right trusted exchange for byteball deposit exchange I think the best and high volume is Bittrex exchange site.

Sorry to read about your losses. I am trying to find a decent exchange for trades. If cryptopia and Hitbtc are out according to what I have read so far, any suggestions for a good safe exchange that also lets my funds be secure without eyeing to lock them down.
So of turned out to not be an overall loss. The ticket was resolved on 12th of May and now byteball this has been made alright over there.

Still I would urge you all to stay away from that shitty exchange and put your money somewhere else. They are incompetent and have lots of technical trouble that who knows might lead to some major theft of your coins.

Good to know that your issue has been resolved.

Few days ago I got a signature payment from bytebal and I had directly given cryptopia's address for my signature payments.

The payment was sent but nothing is being shown up on cryptopia now. This is happening with everyone right now.
People also seem to have issue with other currencies too.
I opened up a ticked and just got this reply to which further no action has been taken :

"Thank you for contacting Cryptopia support.

After looking at your transaction on the block explorer I can see there is an issue. For this reason I have passed this issue on to be investigated further and resolved. Please keep this ticket open for further communication, we will keep you updated. Thank you for your patience.

Same thing happened here, also a GBYTE deposit: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/solvedcryptopia-pending-deposit-2-weeks-since-i-created-the-ticket-3375213

The situation is indeed different now because the coininfo page lists their Byteball wallet as OK. This doesn't seem like an isolated case on its own, either, since at least 2 people(most likely more) are having the same issue. I reckon it's definitely some kind of problem with their wallet that they haven't fixed during the phase of maintenance.

jhenfelipe is right, if there were issues and they are being reported on a constant basis, at least put it in maintenance so that nobody else deposits and have to have their coins held up.

But for now, you'll just have to wait for Cryptopia to sort out this mess. Their exchange seems to be flooded with problems, and they're just all over the place. I'd avoid them for now, at least until they resolve all existing issues.

Sad I didn't know that before I deposited my bytebal over there. Last time did all those having issues got their money back? I.e did they get their deposits alright on time?
As far as I know GBYTE wallet was in Maintenance status that time and took a long time to be enabled again. They got their coins when the wallet came back online (not sure though if all of them).

The case now seems to be different. On their CoinInfo page, GBYTE wallet status is OK, Listing status is Active, and there are Connections, so I wonder why there is still a problem. They should have put it in Maintenance status again if there are issues so that users will neither deposit nor withdraw coins at the moment.

Cryptopia had Byteball deposits and withdrawals disabled for months, later on they disabled trading too, but recently it was supposed to be working again.
That being said, Cryptopia has had scam accusations for months:

Does cryptopia turning to scam

[SOLVED] Preliminary Scam Accusation vs Cryptopia for holding customers funds

I had directly given cryptopia's address for my signature payments.
Byteball has great tech and a great wallet, but barely any exchanges, let alone exchanges with a decent volume.

Probably not everyone should have been able to withdraw their coins, this is the problem of exchange that do not respect your customers and do not offer good quality services, ask for help from the support becomes many times more stressful and only increase your feeling of anger and pain. I read this comment:

I highly warn that users should not deposit Byteball to Cryptopia exchange. I lost my coins with my deposit transactions.
Sad to say that, but it is my bad experience with Cryptopia
.
After that, I decided to send my Byteball to Cryptox, everything worked well.

Cryptopia had big issues with byteball lately, but apparently everything was solved. I was able to withdraw my bytes when they allowed withdrawals again a few weeks ago.
By the way, have you tried to contact their support? have you opened a ticket? Look into it, don't lose your bytes so easily

this is a problem that we will have for many months or years and this problem will be minimized the day that governments intensify inspections in the exchange
