i hope it covers the shitshow that is going on in the altcoin market and the newbishness of the people who have been trying desperately to get in something that is cheap thinking having a low value is equal to being cheap and having potential!
while a bunch of scammers rip them off by fooling them into thinking their altcoin is the next big thing!

I agree with a lot of comments here, however i think which ever way it goes, there's still benefits from the outcome. If the show is good, great - we get good TV and learn about crypto. However, if it's really just a hollywood "wow, drama, exciting", then again, at least there's exposure and more awareness about this topic. I guess, for now, it's all just speculations. We have to wait and see!

(Also, it would be cool if some experienced bitcoin investors or at least people who've done it and know something would be consulted when writing the script. If they have a good budget, they should definitely use it well).

can be a good thing or it can become a big nightmare, it will depend on who will be the people who will talk about bitcoin. The best way to talk about bitcoin will be with examples of uses bitcoin can have. if they explain technical aspects and do not show concrete uses that people can use bitcoin in real life, then it will not be very advantageous for bitcoin. There is also another point, if any one talk about using bitcoin to commit crimes, it will be very bad for bitcoin. TV channels are dangerous and every word you say on TV should be very careful

That is a strong reason so far and I have realized it, far more understanding of crypto will keep the market going forward and there will be no more worry for ordinary people about bitcoin or crypto, because many lay people say bitcoin is only a transaction tool used for negative activities, this proves if they know bitcoin from something negative and do not have the desire to understand it further. If that tv show program about cryptocurrency can run, then that is something very good education for a wider public space.

Lot of shows that are produced really good, have good story and good people in it, had influence on me. Make me wanted to see and get more of the matter that were not my cup of tea. So I do believe that it can have positive impact on people, to get them curious and to help them to understand better this subject. On the other hand, not so good project could mean nothing special or can have counter effect. I hope that the first option will be presented to people cause everyone deserve to know more about cryptocurrency, explained as simple and clear as it can be.

Emm, I did. And that is one of the reasons why I think it will fail.
The story seems to be taken from one of the hundreds of ICOs. And most of them are way overrated. The idea of the decentralized film studio and movie token seems stupid and uncompetitive in the real world.
In this movie we will see a compilation of cliches about cryptocurrencies and ICOs. Already now it seems hackneyed and I can only imagine how it will look in some years after the movie comes out.

At least few people around globe will understand about the need of the show is done in a right way making awareness. Because, just because the term bitcoin getting much popular TV shows might be created based on the same. So, if it is done as mentioned then truly it is a good initiative in supporting growth of cryptocurrency.

It's sad that there is no data on the series on imdb (when something serious is going on, there's usually at least something), and even though Connolly is not nobody, popular websites did not bother to write any articles about his new show and websites like imdb and wikipedia don't have info on connection between Connolly and "Cryptos". The show seems to be in really early stages, and the background idea seems to be about crypto crowdfunding rather than disrupting financial industry, but the team contains crypto believers. If they make it 'Silicon Valley' style, it might be a good show and make a significant difference.

A TV show will definitely help a lot of people since people would learn a lot easier and faster about cryptocurrencies ,meaning the market will also benefit from this. As you said, the show has to be well done so that everyone will watch it as a normal show but in the same time learn about crypto.

But if they managed to attract people to watch it without share wrong information (such as avoid some detailed information), it would be great.

"crypto" does not mean "cryptocurrency". in fact crypto refers to cryptography which is only something that cryptocurrencies are using. calling it "cryptos" is a bad idea because if the show becomes popular it would be actually changing the meaning of the name and mislead people.

....and since they have already gotten the name wrong i wouldn't get my hopes up for them getting much else right!

They both begin with the same six characters, so it's a bit childish to say that just because one arrived first, they are the only crowd allowed to use a short name for their term Grin

Very nice show and lots of TV shows like this will go a long way to help created awareness about cryptocurrency and also help to educate and enlighten people about cryptocurrency and how it work, because it in not having the knowledge about cryptocurrency that breed the misinformation people have about cryptocurrency but onces the awareness and enlightenment is there people will fine it easy to trust and adopte cryptocurrency.
