If you are getting a 503, flushing DNS , rebooting, softbooting (windows users) linux users dont cache DNS unless you physically have that service enabled which is not by default, and reseting your router will do nothing.. this is a server based error code.

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:   cryptsy.com
Address: 199.83.134.5

which is an unresolved address. so it would appear either sever DDOS, or they updated there DNS and it has yet to propagate.

Cause of 503 Service Unavailable Errors

The 503 Service Unavailable error is an HTTP status code that means the web site's server is simply not available right now. Most of the time this is because the server is too busy or because there's maintenance being performed on it.

How To Fix the 503 Service Unavailable Error

The 503 Service Unavailable error is a server-side error, meaning the problem is usually with the web site's server.

Clear your browser cache.

yeah, that isn't doing anything, not even a different browser:

503 Service Unavailable
No server is available to handle this request.

nothing on cryptsy twitter feed which I always find unforgiveable

It was giving me an internal server error for about 10 minutes today. That was unexpected but everything seemed to be working as a charm afterwards.

is it down again?

yes, for about an hour here in UK
this is after their maintenance downtime earlier too, I guess it is connected

I hope they up their game in coming weeks and months when I anticiapte traffic and trading will increase exponentially when bitcoin price spikes, which imo is inevitable

is it down again?
Yes, at least it's down for me and some people reporting the same on Twitter.  I'm getting a "503 - Service Not Available".
