i doubt if Cryptsy can come back at all. with the hit they sustained they are lucky if they can come back from it alone.

besides nobody is going to trust them even if they come back.

The owner BigVern has fled to China according to his wife. So BigVern's Cryptsy will not come back in its current forms.

I only hope all people will get there coins back and they never come back online. They wasted any kind of reputation and I will never deal with them again.

Is there another exchange like Cryptsy with that many altcoins?

Here you go:

https://poloniex.com/

https://bittrex.com/

Yobit.net is good to and have lots of alts for trading

all of it can be seen in coinmarketcap.com in exchanger section with volumes and everything.

+1 to this.

Trust is everything in crypto. Since they have already lied to their customers once, who says they re not going to do it again.
So, Crytsy stays down.

There are some out there like Yobit and Bittrex, but I have heard that there are many other as well.  I've use Btc-e, but they don't have many alts.
i hope they won't, i used Yobit and Bittrex and also poloniex for my daily trading activity, everything could happen all we have to do just watching our coin out there, when you see something going wrong then withdraw your coin imidiately, not only small exchanger even biger than that like mtgox have posibility to scam their member, i wish those exchange would exist for long time

Which exchange is better for short-term traders with good volume, more volatility, etc?

I think Poloniex is good for altcoin trading. It has good volume for most coins. But it does not have many scam coins.

Anyone who knows the owners of Cryptsy can give us an update for what's going on with Cryptsy sell orders?

Not even in their blog or support give us some reason why that happened.
they have already said they been hacked but i think it is self made story by them to get away with customers coin.
Yeah i believe on that they made a story. And i think this is a common way to run their money.. Like the other site they said that they hack and got much bitcoin on their site.. But the truth is not.. they are just saying that to run..

I think you are in the same boat as the rest of us cryptsy customers.  We will never get it back.  I hope you didn't have a lot in their exchange.

Read the announcement, no more trading at Cryptsy:

Quote
Trades and withdrawals will be suspended on the site indefinately until some sort of resolution can be made.
Here are our options:

1.   We shut down the website and file bankruptcy, letting users file claims via the bankruptcy process and letting the court make the disbursements.

-   or –

2.   Somebody else comes in to purchase and run Cryptsy while also making good on requested withdrawals.

-   or –

3.   If somehow we are able to re-aquire the stolen funds, then we allow all withdrawal requests to process.

I’m obviously open to any other ideas people may have on this.

Now is day 18 and nothing but a thought of a new scam scheme
