Yes prolonged problems with Cryptsy and continue around the first month, then out here we hear about positive reviews from the speculators, on the occurrence of those or other problems with deposits or withdrawals and so on, there are hopes that such a powerful trading tool in crypto will not give negative effects for closure also will be a negative decision, of course, although

The position of cryptsy being a reputable exchange is long gone.

But going GOX...At this moment really anything can happen
They close shop and give users a way to wtihdraw their money in a period of 10 years or
They survive this nightmare chapter and become more solvent again..

Those two words which I've bolded...they are no longer this.  And because they've killed their reputation and the trust their customers had in them, they're not going to recover from this I don't think.  I can't claim to know what their problems are/were, but since they haven't effectively communicated with anyone about what's going on, they've GOXED already in my opinion.  The situation just hasn't unfolded completely yet, but it will, soon.

It's unfortunate that this happened, as it just diminishes trust in exchanges that bitcoin users should be able to have.  Can you magine if online brokerage houses like Etrade and Scottrade did stuff like Cryptsy and Gox did?

It's sad indeed, when reputable exchanges can do this, what should we think/ expect about other far less reputable exchanges?
My only ohpe is they go down silently without running awa with customers funds.

I think their time is over now. I can't see them going back to be a prime exchange now.
Even with no more threads it will be too hard to get over this.

Cryptsy already went GOX when they let users wait so long for their own money.
It's not fair. We've been their clients for many months/years and now they just ripping us off.

Fair? There s no fair in crypto. There s only smart and stupid.

Well, i think Cryptsy is going the way of Mt.Gox. There is currently only few coin which could be withdrawn. This is a bad sign.

I don't think Cryptsy will GOX, they have some problems and that's it. If they are back let's hope things go back to normal.
Cryptsy as an exchange is way to important. Too bad some people don't understand this.

So far i have seen that even there is a waiting time, all the withdrawals went through.
Let's hope cryptsy get this problems resolved and become a credible exchange again. They did great in the past.

It's very sad to see a reputable exchange go to worse so fast.
One year ago they were the no 1. altcoin exchange. Today they are in the same league of yobit. Even their volume has decreased by 300%.

A sad day for all of us.

I see no people complaining about withdraw delays of hours/days in the yobit exchange, but you'll easily find several complains about cryptsy.

There are no signals of insolvency from yobit, even with low volumes and everything else

Say, may I ask what you mean by this?  You can obviously see I'm wearing a Yobit signature, but I'm not trying to promote anything shady.  Yobit has worked for me so far, and they seem on the up and up.  Do you mean their volume isn't huge or that there's something funny going on?

Cryptsy was the 2nd exchange I used, with Coinbase being the first.  Have they made any announcements yet other than the "maintenance mode" thing?

BTC, and LTC withdraws are not coming out. So, if we trade our BTC and LTC for other coins for example DOGE or Florincoin and then withdraw them from the exchage!

Just remember that because of this coins like DOGE are sickly overpriced.  But if you think they are insolvent then something is better than nothing.

They announced this maintenance well in advance so this is no reason to be worried.  Being unable to withdraw coins and having them stalled in limbo IS a reason to be worried.

I pulled my funds out of Cryptsy once they implemented percentage based fees on top of the standard withdrawal fees a month or two back.  Thankfully they gave you three "free" withdrawals because I would not want big amounts of Bitcoin or any other coin having 0.5% taken away on top of buying and selling fees.

The 0.5% withdrawal fee may not seem big, but when you withdraw a couple thousand dollars worth of Bitcoin it adds up quite quickly.  It appears they are either trying to simply make more money - which is fine by me, I'm a capitalist by trade - but it makes me feel that they could also be in a bad financial situation approaching insolvency.

No evidence, no FUD, just a gut feeling.  Take it for what it's worth.  I'll simply watch them for the next few months before using them again.

I'm hoping they don't Gox, but I can't fathom them doing much business after this.  They've lost the confidence of a huge number of their customers, and how do you recover from that?  And it's not like they let everyone know what's going on--what they did was to let rumors fester.  I'm not sure they're trying to steal money, but it'd be nice if they communicated about whatever problems they're having.  It's sad, really.  I used them for a few months and they were good.

Finally got all mine coins out of cryptsy. Now can easy check from the sideline what happens with this exchange. It's almost a movie and we are now waiting for part 2 how will it end.

Haha, yes i got the same feeling.
Being on the safe side, it is now like a soap.

Somewhere I can't believe Vern or Cryptsy are scammers. They are far to neat for that. But looking at what happend before (their actions), anything can happen.
