I posted in this topic a while ago, and it looks like the situation hasn't really changed... sad...
I was lucky that I didn't invest in Cryptsy so I can just sit back and eat my popcorn. I feel really bad for anybody who has lost coins with them, as it is pretty unlikely that you will ever get your money back.

FUTURE OF CRYPTO IS HERE!
I believe there is one more act in this play and it is the grand revealing what is included in the secret message in the pdf.

If that message is revealed to contain something highly embarrassing to cryptsy like something looking like a confession that the hack was an inside job and something about maybe sexual preferences it means that this hoax was from outside and only the hack was an inside job. If on the other hand that message remains a mystery forever it means that everything was an inside job from start to finish. One thing is for sure. It does not contain any outside real hackers name.

Please cryptwrecker reveal the message already!!! The suspension is killing me!!!

It was just a hoax by Cryptcracker/Eternal Insolent.  He is either just a troll trying to play a prank or he could be involved with Paul Vernon and Cryptsy.

Is there any new information on recovering the bitcoins from cryptsy?  It seem like it has been a few days since we have heard anything.

Looks like it was just a fake, as we expected Sad

With the coins just parked and people watching, can they really move them and mix them without us tracking them?

People are watching, but to what. The game is played by the big boys now. If there comes a trade is very uncertain.
I still believe it is some PR happening showing that Big Vern didn't steal the money.

Don't worry about those coins. What is the total outstanding debt to depositors/traders?

that's a large amount, but how long have withdrawals been stalled? How much have they made by dumping other coins elsewherre? Park those coins somewhere, claim they were stolen, and keep the rest.

If it were me with 13000 BTC I would be enjoying myself on some exotic island right now, while all the users of cryptsy are complaining here, so there's no logic behind this, only trying to win time who ever is doing this.

Paul Vernon my be in fact on an exotic island right now.  However, he or whoever stole the money hasn't spent the money yet.  I think we need to watch where the coins go.

I think the cryptcracker guy is just a troll.  He is getting what he wants which is to make a few people think he can get some stolen money.  He's probably just some teenager that is trying to string people along for fun.  Don't trust what he says.  If it was legit, he would have gotten the money immediately (like he said he would).

I totally agree with you, either this is BigVern trying to keep the people hoping and trying to keep the cops away, or this is just a troll having some fun. No one in their right mind would return 13000 BTC to only keep a fraction of it.

This is very interesting, I think he did it himself, like the most under us, it only has to be proven that is the thing so we can go further.
I hope he will react if he will than there is a chance it wasn't himself but this is unlikely in my eyes.
If he does not react it all says enough in my opinion right ?

Who cares about this bullshit? People only care if they get their coins back or not.

This. I've got Doge on there, and I'd like to get it out. It was very frustrating to miss the highs and just watch while the coins were tied up. Knowing my luck they won't release them till the price has collapsed.

You realize that the only reason that there were highs is because those were the only coins people could get off the site?

So smart people bought doge for more than they were worth so they could get the doge out and sell them somewhere else "at a loss" because selling one doge or less than they bought it for on cryptsy left them in a better position than holding any other coins that they couldn't get off of cryptsy.

I wouldn't count on you getting anything out. The fact that your actual coins weren't the ones that were "stolen" doesn't give you more of a claim to 100% of what cryptsy owes you than anyone else who had their coins "stolen," so if there is any resolution, expect a haircut.

We'll be lucky to get any of our coins back at all.  I wouldn't count on it at least.

Hello I have offered to give big Vern the identity of the person that committed the theft against cryptsy and help them be put to justice but he is not responding to me. I offered my services and to divulge this information for a bounty of %30 of the stolen funds I also said I am willing to negotiate a bit to make things easier.

Here is my twitter were I have tweeted at Big Vern multiple times https://twitter.com/cryptcracker1/with_replies

I am asking for a contract to ensure I am paid the bounty, if anyone is able to reach Big Vern please tell him to get in contact with me asap.

Very interesting how the whole thing suddenly changed and instead of "I have offered to give big Bern the identity of the person that committed the theft against cryptsy and help them be put to justice" it is now "Cryptcracker will recover for reward the stolen 13,000 Bitcoin".

Total BS.
