CryptoCoinsNews ran a kinda-strangely positive article on Cryptsy, with comment from an "anonymous employee" (almost definitely Horus in my opinion):

Cryptsy is fully licenced and regulated by the SEC.

So, the SEC allows an exchange to not allow its users to exit their platform via the predominate currency - Bitcoin - forcing clients to withdraw their requests and exit via other cryptocurrencies that have been highly inflated while if abiding by said option the new withdraw requests must be of small amounts, otherwise back to square one and start all over again.

I think Paul's divorce is the least of his worries. HAHAHA

@rossh174:the court has frozen wallets until divorce case is resolved - its not a scew up in that sense

This is the real reason, folks.  Roll Eyes Tongue Roll Eyes

Give me a sec while I glean ONE example from thousands off the Internet depicting how an enterprise was put on hiatus while its owner was going through a divorce preceding, with the counter-party not having any vested interested in the endeavor.

Unemployment Office: Reason for being laid off?
Furloughed Worker: Bob, the owner of the company, was getting divorced from his Asian wife, Alice, hence the immediate locking of Bob's company's doors, not even giving me enough time to withdraw my lunch pail from my locker.
Unemployment Office: Sadly, there's thousands of examples like your case. Unemployment insurance approved. Here's to hopin' you'll soon be united with your lunch pail.
Unemployment Office: Next!
Crypto Dude: Not sure if I qualify, but Paul Vernon... Stop me if you're heard this one before.

whatever happened to the guy who ran Inputs.io and Coinlenders? something tells me he's having a field day in this thread..

Isn't stating that cryptsy is fully regulated and licenced by the SEC with no actual proof of this FUD in itself? Also love the line its only fair we wait for an official story... people have been waiting 3 months now for that official story. When is a fair wait over? 3 months is 1/4 of a year... that's absurd.

And people spreading FUD to further their own agenda? FFS what agenda? The agenda of wanting their coins out? There is no hidden agenda FUDers could have... they just want to be able to trade!!!!

This Dave McSomething checks all boxes for an "eager but not very bright shill"

Claims to have facts and provides none - check
Claims that the site works and/or situation is improving despite evidence to the contrary - check
Tells you to wait for the "official" word but none is forthcoming - check
FUD - check
Agenda - check
SEC - check
Just plain old lie ("days") - check
Failed third grade English - check

Nice going CCN (not to be confused with CNN).

Does anyone know the deal with cryptostocks which also was listing the cryptsy royalty shares; it appears to be dead and gone with customer funds.   This site is linked to the vircurex exchange which is still up, would cryptostocks failing have any negative effect on cryptsy business or funds availability?  I presume cryptostocks did not hold any money for cryptsy so its not a knock on loss scenario.

I have withdrawn most funds from cryptsy just by using alt coins, there were people in chat advising which but also you pay a bad price and you are losing something by withdrawing this way.  Of course the best advice is do not store large funds with exchanges which do not separate out customer funds and my own advice is generally dont carry all eggs in one basket

I realize that crypto journalism isn't famous for good spelling or grammar or making sense but this piece is really pushing it.

"For the several days now, there have been rumors circulating the internet about Cryptsy. "

Several DAYS?

And the whole last paragraph is just a fabulous work of art. Garza would be so proud. Emphasis mine.

Final Thoughts

I know that with the lack of official statements, it is easy to let our imaginations run wild. Some may be spreading FUD just to further their own agenda. At this time, however, it is impossible to know what the actual truth is. So I ask the reader with all the FUD and agendas in the crypto world, isn’t only fair we wait and get the official story before we fly off the handle and let opinion ruin the flagship Altcoin exchange (a place where many of us including me made our first altcoin trades). One thing is certain: Cryptsy is fully licenced and regulated by the SEC. Furthermore, more and more coins are coming back online. I have my opinions but as the saying goes “Opinions are like a##holes – Everyone has one and they usually stink.”

That's bullshit. The cold wallets aren't Paul's person asset and stash its customer funds. The only thing that would be frozen would be pauls personal addresses and good luck them knowing which is which.

There is no way that the divorce case is the result of the cold wallets being frozen. There is a lot more going on than just a silly divorce settlement.

I know, it was a joke!

I have faith but I am biased haha. But yes, I think once a statement is made, depending on what the issue is, things will be resolved.
-Horus

Ummm! A statement should of been made months ago and the exchange halted or offline until the issues got resolved.

Im now coming up on 30 days trying to withdraw .3 BTC.

This is just stupid...

Lets be brief here.

If you want to receive your bitcoin from that shitty site, it has been more than illustrated here on how and why others seem to be getting their btc.

Do you want btc only?

First cancel pending withdrawal.
Second break your btc w/d into small tx (0.01)

Do you want some of your btc and are willing to take a loss?

First cancel pending withdrawal.
Second buy an alt coin that is not LTC or Dash! (Make sure wallet is online-not in maintenance)
Third w/d alt coin.

This has been established as it is obvious that the only money that is leaving is freshly deposited by new arbitrators.

We're talkin' 'bout Cryptsy, right, an exchange that has halted all trading up to and including 0.00000001 BTC worth of any cryptocurrency?

It's not an excuse, it's a theory.

Big Vern went radio silent in December.

https://twitter.com/cryptsy

Is the Vern twitter always vern? I heard on the trollbox or something that was it horus or bitjohn or someone else had used the twitter and facebook accounts before. I'm wondering if the vern posts on twitter are them? Just speculation on my part here though. Since I don't understand the point of vern saying wallets in maintenance but not other things... seems his current trend is just no correspondence full stop.

Since it also was a wallet maintenance if that's to believed it makes sense that it might have been a post made by someone in wallets?

Good question.. i'm not sure myself.

I have seen what seemed to be BitJohn in the pas post msg's
but he don't work there anymore he claims..
Who does ?
JShock + Horus and BigVern of course (the owner)
Anyone have proof of any other staff active ?
And NO those support ticket fake names means shit all.

Horus now controls PR for Cryptsy, and this includes the Twitter.

Well we all know BigVern was some kind of Crip's gang guy back in the day..
So it's very possible he had been using Cryptsy as a front for gang money laundering.
Which makes sense why he would be in jail right now.
He's prob pushing weights right now bulking up !
His wife prob divorced him for the next Cryptsy gang king pin that took over.. Horus ?
BigVern is straight up Crypto-thuggin' baller.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a new rival exchange open up called Bloodsy ?
Or may be they already did open up but Big-V rubbed them out with his goons ?

Shit.. don't get me started on Boloniex !
