I think you can forget any refunds.
But there is a class action lawsuit. This was a Florida based company. So the FBI will be involved.
I can't imagine how anyone can develop a coin and get it on the market totally anonymously.
Whoever designed and embedded the Trojan in the lucky7 coin or what ever the name of it was.

That guy should not be hard to trace and find. Easy pickins for the FBI

I think it will be a fun show to watch. I think some people are going to go to jail over this.

I am getting warm and fuzzy feelings about it. :-P I doubt I will ever get my coin back.
But still might get some satisfaction in the end.

I got no problem opening the site. The refund site never worked though. I guess they only made it to give us false hope.

What refund site? Dont tell me you seriously expect some form of refund?

Why would anyone keep coin on Cryptsy when it was obvious they had issues for the last 3 months. The red light was on for a long time.

In the email cryptsy send to their users there was a link to a refund site.
Offcourse I know there won't be any refunds, but it's still intestering if it is up right?
I think they are lacking enough source of funds to pay all of the users and finding resolutions. Until that, we cannot get refund, or get some percentage of cutoff.

Site is back now, but I don't know if the withdraws are working and won't verify for myself.

At least I managed to withdraw my funds before the final implosion

I was only trading. I would come in and check my coins but I never spent the time reading boards like this.
I never went in the chat so I never knew anything was going on. The site worked all the time I was there.
I would go in and set my trade and leave.

But yes, there is a class action lawsuit and if those guys stole it themselves or one of their employees there is likely to be a continuing saga.

And yes a very sight chance that the some of the coins might be recovered if it was an inside job.

I think the way they covered everything up indicates it was inside. Should be fun to watch.

That refund site was allegedly a phishing attempt. The only question if it was a genuine scam or the Cryptsy crew tried to gain a few more days.

The Cryptsy site is down. Maybe forever. (Their blog, "blog.cryptsy.com", is still up, but that's hosted by Tumblr.)

If you had money in there, it's time to file a criminal complaint and get an arrest warrant issued for Paul Vern.

WANTED for Grand Theft

It's really sad to see how fast this exchange is collapsed, as far as i know most of the coins weren't affected except btc and ltc were they?

Strange that you write "how fast".. ?!

This exchange had problems for more than six months. Reviews fraud on their part stretches over 200 pages in this thread:

just when price is recovering:(

maybe it is just temporary issue and they will be back

I dont know if they will ever be back but I agree; just when the price was recovering. I had some coin in there myself.

I imagine the story is not over. With a lawsuit pending there may be more to the story. So much can be traced.

For example I read somewhere the guy sold the LTC at BTCe, that should almost be traceable. You have to be tied to an email. I know there are anonymous emails. But like I said. so much is traceable. Something was shady or they would not have tried to hide it.

Perhaps a little investigation might reveal a little more. A lot of laws were broken.

You're kidding, right?  Fast?  This spin around the toilet bowl took way too long because sheeple didn't want to see the warning signs...  I myself saw when they introduced the bullshit tiers and the coin withdrawal limits associated with such...
