Having more than 10 million registered users but only few of them are active is a sign that something is not right!

The op doesn't seem to be very interested in amending those details and may not have paid attention to the suggestions in your comment at all. But in general, it is good that the old link also leads to the new site, although I do not understand the secret of this change, which we do not see happening often on other sites that are equally popular or even perhaps less popular.
