Somehow, pizza & bitcoin are inextricably linked.  I'd hate to be that guy who paid 10KBTCfor that pizza, I'll tell you that.

And still in 2017, I can't buy a pizza locally with bitcoin.  Adoption hasn't done shit since 2010, at least not in my area.

like imagine tipping a cam girl 0.025 btc for a quick flash when btc was 200$  Grin would you regret it later when BTC hits like 100K  Roll Eyes

After some years, I guess we are going to have a topic with subject line as less than 10 satoshi will be enough to buy  a pizza. Yes, it will happen as bitcoin is slowly moving toward main stream of adoptions.

Too expensive pizza. I don't know where are you from but by looking at BTC.03 it like 4 large thick pizza here. Maybe that's the OP favorite pizza because he is willing to buy one with that kind of price. I'm also a pizza lover but I don't think I will get one with that kind of price.

How the hell can a pizza cost that much ? I never saw a pizza worth more than 14$, and those are actually a lot overpriced because they are made on a boat. And excepting this specific case, here, the best pizzas cost 7$.

Depends in what part of the world and maybe this is realy special pizza, maybe made in some restaurant with Michellins stars.  Smiley Anyway, now we can evaluate bitcoin in regard how much and what quality pizza you can buy for that. Does someone actualy has a place in his country where he can buy pizza for bitcoins?

The problem that i see here with the pizza cost in bitcoins, its that it depends on witch country. I suppose that he wanted to compare with the first shopping with bitcoin (the pizza for 10.000 bitcoins), but we see that also if we look for pizza prices on dollars, we have very different prices depending on each country.

This guy is going for the title " Second most expensive Pizza bought with bitcoin "  Grin  ....Lazlo's 2 Pizzas was the most expensive. He

paid like 10,000 bitcoins for a couple of pizzas.  Grin {At the time, it was valued at a few dollars}

Side note for comparison : A Scottish chef has made what might be the world's most expensive pizza: The pizza is sprinkled with gold

and topped with champagne-soaked caviar and lobster marinated in the finest cognac. Creator Domenico Crolla  said it was worth more

than $3,700.  Grin

We've came a long way.

1 bitcoin could buy you at least 28 pizzas at this time.

10,000 bitcoin could buy you pizza for life give or take a pizza (277,115ish)

So how big does the pizza look like ? I suppose that it's almost more than 18 inches if small than that size then I will consider that you have just bought a expensive pizza in an expensive pizza parlor what a big time spender Grin anyway I'm glad to see someone who is able to buy  a pizza with bitcoin I wish that I could do the same as you Grin

Wow bitcoins really went a long way! I remember reading that article about buying pizza for 10,000 bitcoins. I hope the guy who sold pizza for bitcoins was able to keep those bitcoins, if he did he would have been a millionaire by now. Instant millionaire and you didn't even know it would even happen. That would be really awesome! Fortune favors the bold!

Thats an overpriced pizza. Pizza shops like greenwich, shakeys and pizza hut in our country if they accept bitcoin the  current price for 1 box of pizza is 0.012 bitcoin only. If the pizza companies would sell overpriced pizza in bitcoin then I will just use fiat currency to purchase them. Your computation will already give me 3 box of pizza. Its much nice to see if big pizza shops will accept bitcoin and deliver it to your doorsteps. I love pizza and bitcoins.

Yeah, I've identified an issue with the fat, stoned and mexican looking kid(s) intentionally over ringing customers. Actual cost should be around $27 for the pizza with taxes and such.

Also it's tourist town so everything is over priced there.

The pizza place does not currently accept bitcoin, I used a Shift VISA card.

Also, an updated computation with your data indicates that 10,000 bitcoin should buy 833,333 and 1/3rd pizzas.

That's about 2340 pizza's a day for one year.

This should be in off topic.
Usually pizza cost 5-20$.
What's so special about that 37 dollar pizza?
No this shouldn't. Maybe you just don't know this really famous story about the times when bitcoin was worth cents and some guy wanted to buy two pizzas for 10 000 bitcoins if I'm not mistaken and many people weren't really interested in that. It was back in 2010 and I suppose the guy was one of the first miners, so he had a lot of btc. Here the topic is although the story seems so legendary to me that I'm not even sure this thread is where it actually happened. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/pizza-for-bitcoins-137

This is kinda off topic. But the price i think thats too much for a pizza. I can buy pizza for about $24-26. And i can save $10 when i buy it on cash than buy it with btc. Plus the price of bitcoin is surging right now. Its not a nice move to buy something with bitcoin. You could lose profits. But thats a good idea tho.

actually the pizza story is not about how much spent to get what but the main purpose of that story is that bitcoin was spent as a currency and it was a direct purchase not going through third parties, not using fiat in the end in the process, not selling bitcoin getting fiat and then buying pizza.
he directly offered bitcoin in exchange for pizza.

and that is where we should go. it doesn't matter if you can buy 1 pizza with 1BTC or 100,000 of them.

I wonder where's that guy from that pizza story is he on this forum? Roll Eyes

I guess so, I haven't seen a pizza cost so much in my life. Something doesn't add up well but it is his own problem not mine or ours. We've indeed come a long way but I could buy a lot of pizzas with one Bitcoin.
in my country i do not think that there is a single shop where they accept bitcoin for  purchasing Pizza. but if i match the currency price of bitcoin with the pizza cost i will like to say that it will cost 0.02 Bitcoin, and today i am going to give treat to my friend on my Baby boy birth day, and i am thinking to give then treat in Italian Pizza. or Pizza Hut.
