Haha what a poor guy! I also regret selling my bitcoin in the past and trading recklessly then lose a large amount of money

Well, we should stick to the current path and wait for the next bitcoin cycle, as you say and it is the best to buy bitcoin after a big dip. I still looking forward to buy more bitcoin below $40000.

Bitcoin is the thing that no one could determine what will be the next move. That's the real issue during entering on it. That's is a normal thing that we regret about our past, it's just not about the Bitcoin, we encounter such as thought in real life. Upon increasing we just say why we hadn't bought, but during the dump, we also think why we didn't sell. So it will never end also volatility will never end as well. So there is no solution. It's quite complex for new small investors to enter Bitcoin lately. Because the price is almost out of range. But big institutional investors coming on the Bitcoin and raising price rapidly. A few months ago the price was dropped below $4K, I hadn't bothered to buy, but I am regretting that. Now above $50K still I am not buying, if price raised up to $100K then I will regret it again. That's life and it will repeat always.

Lately I have been thinking more about what will happen in the next cycle than in this one. For me Bitcoin is going to be at least a 4 year plan. Probably a lifetime plan, but for the next few years I'm not going to do anything but accumulate and hold (maybe spend some minimal amount).

If you look at the WO thread there are people who have been accumulating and holding for a long time and to this day have already achieved financial freedom or very good financial stability. They would not have achieved that if they had sold at every little rise in price.

Those dates in the tweet were bad times to buy.  Good time to buy beside March 2020 when everything was cheap to buy was end of 2018. Also most of year 2015. Beginning of July 2013.  November 2011.

All those were perfect times to buy. Next perfect time will be about year and a half from now.

You obviously miss the big picture if you think like that.

Moreover if everyone bought exactly at those exact "perfect" times, there would not be "perfect" times.

I assume you bought exactly at those "perfect" times?

Damn I should have bought more  Cool

Almost cried when I saw the bitcoin price at $61,000 last week myself because I invested my money heavily in agriculture and the wet season last year 2020 was really bad for us as farmers. the rainy season left us in early October where both cotton and beans really need the rainfall. hard luck for us Angry

I failed to stay FOCUS on the bitcoin market and look closely at the bitcoin cycles. I made a huge mistake in 2020

Actually we are afraid to invest on right time. Price may down anytime but it won't stay at the same all the time. We should take the opportunity when price drops. Investment on bitcoin is safe, secure, low risky and profitable. So, every time is okay for investing on bitcoin.

It's me and maybe most of us all here experienced it. Too scared to jump in and always feel the price was too high to buy it now. Lol
If you don't want to keep that circle happen, just use DCA methode for collecting bitcoin as you may still thing the price was too high.

This thread made me chuckle, because I was thinking much the same thing earlier this morning--not so much that I should have bought bitcoin earlier but that I should have held what I had.  Every time I spent it, sold it, whatever, it turned out to be a mistake over the years.  I coulda been rich!

Oh well.  I'm sure a lot of us are in the same boat.  And this is one of the reasons why bitcoin won't be a viable currency (one that gets used to buy and sell goods & services) until it becomes stable....which it probably will never be.  That said, I've already given up on the idea of bitcoin as money and see it as akin to what gold and silver are today, which are investments.

Be careful buying bitcoin right now, though.  Any time you do that when something is at or near its ATH is super risky.

People will spend Bitcoin. Most people aren't just going to never use their savings. They save FOR something. Now of course they can also just sell it, but as it becomes easier and easier to spend (paypal, visa, etc) more people will actually spend it rather than selling it (though through these third party services of course spending is no different than selling really because they sell it for you). I mean I do agree that Bitcoin, being the best hard money humanity has ever had, is firstly a savings technology and secondly a spending technology, but the point of savings is to eventually spend it (or at least some of it).

Also the point of the tweet is that it is NOT risky to buy at ATH's. First off just being at an ATH doesn't mean it won't shortly be 10x higher. And if you're using Bitcoin for long term savings then it's never a risky time. You just Dollar Cost Average into Bitcoin to protect against possibly going significantly in to Bitcoin at a temporarily less advantageous time.

Yeah but part of the point is that new people only buy when the price is really high because that is when new people hear about Bitcoin. People aren't saying "Damn I should have bought Bitcoin earlier" when Bitcoin is down 80%, they say that when it has just gone up 1000% percent or whatever. Tweet isn't listing the best times to buy in the macro cycles, it's listing the main times when loads of people think to themselves "Damn I should have bought bitcoin earlier", and pointing out that it is never too late to buy bitcoin.

OK talking about next bitcoin bull but has not told us when that can happen if now or  when price has gone down like it happened in 2017. But with the current price of bitcoin, a reasonable trader can make some profit too by trading.  Certain to say that every trader wants the bull time but how to see it is what can't be determined. Op you have knowledge about the next bull?

One of the reasons people are knowing more about bitcoin and want to invest is because they are seeing bitcoin to be a digital gold, to me I see it as an asset that might even be superior to gold in some decades to come because its supply is limited, that is the advantage it has to physical assets and also because it can not inflate but deflate and people buying it to deflate more and more. The price can be seen high today, but within the next 4 years the price would have increased more after several price fluctuations.

Don't miss the next bitcoin cycle! Don't miss the next bitcoin bullrun! A lot of people are missing the best time to invest in bitcoin because they are focussing on other things, not the bitcoin market. You have to stay FOCUS on the bitcoin market all the time to get the maximum leverage. You need to stay FOCUS for the next bitcoin cycle to come.
