Dark web is not just all about illegal products but also illegal services and all the illegal things that they can offer. There are just some people who are loving to stay in dark web because they think that they are making more money by staying there but if you are a newbie there. Don't trust anyone of anything you own will be exposed.

Most users on the dark web are there for a simple reason they want to protect their anonymity, for what purpose they use that anonymity is another thing altogether.

There are plenty of scammers here but at the darknet there are a well known sites that scam people,it is really hard to make a transaction there without getting scammed as the site's owner can escape from punishment easily.

If you are talking about coin doubling sites and never before heard of bitcoin mixers then yeah there are a lot of scammers but anyone choosing to use those sites with checking first aren't too smart anyway.

The market places are different, just never FE and you should be right, those guys are just trying to make money too and they would make much more by giving customers what they want rather than ripping them off.

Indeed basically all entrepreneurs or the market will certainly be more worried about the needs and desires of the buyer. so there's no need to worry in to it, but this is very dangerous for those who commit an illegal transaction. Because that way there is a possibility that if they get caught, then it will be polluted and bitcoin can give an opinion that bitcoin is not a good use of the currency because of the bitcoin used for illegal activities

Dark web is not just all about illegal products but also illegal services and all the illegal things that they can offer. There are just some people who are loving to stay in dark web because they think that they are making more money by staying there but if you are a newbie there. Don't trust anyone of anything you own will be exposed.

Not all the dark markets are scam, there also have few legit market places are available. The thing is, you've to know/go to the correct link.

And cause of that smart people are using escrow, its how things work on dark places, same like here, same like in real world. To do business you need good contacts, you need to know how to make deal. Nowhere is safe, and scammers are everywhere. Dark market if we can call it like that is dark cause its hard to track people who are using encrypted browser, so if you wish more privacy maybe its good choice for you.
Like Rude Boy said, if you know where to go and what to do you dont need to be afraid of anything.

People in the dark marketplaces are untrusted so its quite funny when you said that you don't feel safe now anywhere as the new markets started to conquer the old one.

Silk road was no more secure than any of the darknet markets these days, it would actually be considered a lot less safer than many of the markets today but it was a different time back then, people seemed to care about each other and the community a lot more.

Monero is taking advantage of anonymity and fast and easy transactions, and the low value it had were just another advantage, some altcoins get more interest and support on the last days, the traders did like those interest into crypto world soo they can bump and pump the altcoin easy. To be at dark marketplaces you need some skill and high security measures to avoid get exposed or be found.

Yep, don’t download anything out of those places since it could be a virus, key logger etc. Even if it seems easy to do and harmless don do it, if you are going to go to those places then do it in a computer that does not have any kind of personal information about you.

Surely it is, base on reading their description and road map. Zcash would be good enough for the dark market people. Because they are going to benefit from it. If zcash already having an enough specification like the another anonymous coin like xmr I think, there are a high chance for zcash will adopting by the darknet becoming their main currency and considering if the price of zcash will be equal like bitcoin. and negative trend about zcash is also running in this time.

I think Zcash may be adopted by the darknet communities very quickly.
The way it can protect all users with zkSNARK is very interesting and something I need to look into more before I can even start to understand it fully.

The only issue is its price, making it pretty difficult to withdraw out of any exchanges, especially considering that it takes at least 0.01 or 0.001ZEC to withdraw from Poloniex, which is a few hundred dollars iirc. Unless the price falls to way below where it is now, it'll be pretty difficult for any marketplace to adopt. The Zcash team had a good idea, but in the end it really just didn't work out.
