Don't believe it when someone says that your life will change through their advise and then all of the sudden will suggest you to buy a specific investment or crypto that they want you to buy or, they'll give you a link that they want you to visit and check the platform.
When it comes to money matters, you shouldn't trust any stranger. Sorry for those victims that don't even know the forum where it is the best place to ask first related to crypto investments.
Have seen a lot of this people in Discord and the weirdest is someone in-game in DOTA2 said that they have a really good investment advice which I know for a fact is a bullshit, that's not how you strike up a conversation with someone you just met. I think that the victims who wasn't on the forum before getting scammed by this should innately knows that they shouldn't trust strangers in terms of money.

Gullible people will always fall for scams. Quick money can be very appealing to their greed and they absorb every lie they are told as long as they hold on to the hope they will get a pot of gold at the end. Scammers don't even put in much effort, when I hear some of the scam stories I find it hard to believe that people still fall for it. Now dating scam is a different ball game, the foundation of romance/ dating scams is deeply rooted in the emotions and feelings of the victim. They make you fall inlove with the idea of them and the rest is history

Scammers are all over the place. They can be found on almost any social network. This has nothing to do with dating apps. Social networks have more than a billion users, and people are active in all corners of the internet. So, you can get sucked into scammers' world very easily, once you get curious.

What you must remember is that no one will give you money for free. Where is the logic in that? So, if anyone offers extraordinary returns that seem too good to be true, it's most likely a scam. If you would take the offer, you will give your money to the scammer.

Don't take what you hear and don't respond to unsolicited requests for payments. Be smart, protect your identity and your money.

if someone told you to buy the specific currency.. you should learn about that currency. just get to know to facts and figures. ALWAY DYOR .. than just see the market cap.. and then buy it.. i think just ignoring someone's advice is not a good idea.
You can determine if that guy has a good intention by knowing the crypto that he has suggested. If that's a coin that's not really known and you're not familiar with it, it's up to you if you'll spend time researching about it but it's better not to waste your time from doing so.
It might don't look as a good idea for you but if you're just listening to a stranger that shills an altcoin that you're not familiar with and you found out that it's not worth it then you've just wasted your time.

Have experience this severely and the scammers are always fools that think they victims are foolish enough to send money to an unknown person and source.
women or girl who use Dating Apps on average think Dating Apps is a place to earn money not a place to find true love.  even what i noticed on Tinder and OkCupid there are also many female sex workers.

female sex workers consider men's lust a commodity.  handing over the money or crypto coins that you have to a woman you just met on the App Dating site is utter foolishness.  likewise with crypto-based dating application sites, don't trust the sites easily.

Never heard that they can exploit money through dating app? I've known tinder as it is a famous social dating app but never imagine that scammer can use that for what?
It's known as a "romance scam" or "love scam". You can google it and you will find plenty of sources talking about it. It's not new, scammers have only advanced their tactics by asking payments be made in cryptocurrencies instead of fiat because they are harder to track.

Widowers and middle-aged women are often the targets of such scams. Boy-toys approach them via dating sites trying to win them over with their charm. The aim is to gain their trust, have them fall in love, and exploit their feelings to profit from it. They do that in various ways. Some pretend they have a private business and are in debt. The COVID pandemic is a great cover to use right now. If they don't come up with a few grand soon, they'll have to close their business and sob stories like that. Others ask for money to fly out and visit you or pay their taxes... The victims who are now in love believe everything they say and many of them send money and are ready to do anything.

A few years ago there was a story about a local guy from my country who used similar techniques to exploit over $40.000 AUD from a business-woman from Australia. She believed everything he said and invested in his "business". She never saw her money or him again.

Even these dating apps are getting attacked by cryptocurrency scammers, what a shame on them.

They will really do anything just to fool people and earn easy money from newbies or ignorant people.

They are taking advantage of an uneducated person to become their victim.

We all know that cryptocurrency is so complex that people are getting confused about it and they don't know how to manage, or work on it properly.

Thanks for sharing the news but to beginning with a stranger providing a life changing investment opportunity is definitely a scam and what I don't believe is how would a stranger gave advice and people will follow it. Besides, this reminds me of a live video I watch yesterday on Instagram where the host took false classes to make people rich and anyone that believes in all this has lost his investment before he invests.

I’d have though that the main shocker was to get to see who was really on the other end of the dating site’s profile …

It doesn’t matter on what social media platform you’re on, these things happen and people will keep on falling for it out of a lack of knowledge on the matter (to say the least, and provide a benevolent explanation). Those dating sites make it easier for sweet words to open ones pockets out to whatever crypto scam or else they lure you with.
Things shouldn't be this way, not atleast when there are hundreds of scam cases around the world and mostly in the US about romance scams, there are adverts about online scammers pretending to be real but using fake pictures to deceive people, it seems some people don't just want to learn or they just want to be fooled probably because they are too lonely or everyone around them rejects them

I appreciate that you have spoken out for it here and it might help a noob to not lose funds while they are drooling and seeing dreams a long with drooling that they are going to make big money and life will be changed. I have seen such scammers mostly on telegram, but their range has increased now, they are also seen on Quora, Medium along with other social medias.

People are to be blame if a stranger comes into your life for no reason sake and scam you most especially online, how does this sound right to you in the first place? Well common sense is not really common I guess, I always hear about online romance scams people sending money to people miles away in the name of dating or love, there is nothing more foolish than this.

There are thousands of scamers outside this forum whose tricks they do, from offering crypto / fiat for free and so on.

In my opinion, if they are not involved in this forum openly do harm to others, let it be, because fraud is not moderated.

Well, if the application that you mean scamer and they blatantly deceive other people in this forum, give strong evidence of their behavior as a scamer, create a topic in the reputation accusation section, DT will act against them and mark as a scamer.

First installing those unimportant and unsafe apps is the wrong move to protect your privacy and any sensitive data, you can also read this apps exploit their users information [1]

Emotional and physiological involved in love it's the main reason why someone got scammed, it's not only about crypto itself... money, relationship, etc can be involved though. I didn't recommend dating apps if you want to looking for serious relationship, because mostly those aren't real girl, attitude, etc the worst case she can cheat with his real boyfriend behind you.

Use a good profile and chat someone whom have crypto and try to scam or trick the one that will swipe and talk you out of a crypto money. This is a shallow type of scamming if ever.
Social media is the target of scammers, but dating sites is never left out, I have heard cases of scammers getting clients from dating sites. Although, the dating sites have ways of knowing someone that want to scam and block some (but not all as some scammers are smarter), but this makes scammers to have many more of the dating sites to look for suitable ones that victims can be. Dating site is one for the potential means scammers do scam. Assuming if you are a man, they will pose as a beautiful young lady. And, if you are a woman, they will pose as a handsome man. Scammers have there tactics to lure their victims, getting anothers means to chat better, make the victim to trust them, and ask money from them later in few days. This is just very real and happening.
