Does anyone on here day trade and if so do you have a strategy?  I admit I'm extremely tempted at times to day trade when i see swings of 50-100 within a very short time.

Trading bitcoin is a good thing to do, to earn more bitcoin, to have a big income, etc. Trading is some way to get more money as much as possible in easy way. If you trade your bitcoin thete is a hundred percent that you will earn more. Because now a day, the bitcoin price is increasing and sooner or later its price will become $10000. So I suggest to you that, trade now and earn later.

Im sure there are swing traders out there but i would say that this would really be a difficult one even myself do fail on doing swing trades also on bitcoin alone. Ive been applying all the things i have learned on stocks and forex trading but doesnt seems to work here on bitcoin or even on altcoins too. Strategy would really be hard to explain in words which is only possible if someone do teach you on some video or on personal.

you can day trade anything that is volatile, in other words it is possible. but remember that being possible and the fact that others are doing it  does not mean it is easy nor does it mean you will be successful if you start doing it without any prior experience. you may get lucky in a couple of trades and make some profit and lose sight of your inexperience and that is even worse because it gives you false confidence which can lead to big losses.

if you want to start day trading, it is best to start with a small amount. and preferably if you can , try doing a test run with no money at all. of course I am assuming you have not traded much before which is the case with most people who start in bitcoin trading.

i think not all of us here is doing day trade because some of them is using another ways to earn bitcoin. but for me, i do daily trade and i think the most strategy that i used its very simple which is buy when the price is down and sell if the price is up, that's it. but to do this, we need to know when the price is down and up so we can determine the right time to buy and sell. we need to keep practice in every day if we want to mastered in trading so we can make profit in every day too.

I think I should have a strategy if I want to make a profit. if you trade with arbitrarily I think it is a silly thing. so it is always in the planning and strategy that we apply to the pursuit of profit.

I do daily trading occasionally, but mainly for long term, usually once a week. Trading within the day is mainly about analysts and professionals. If you don't have too much time, you might as well do less day trading.

Day trading is always good for altcoin market which is very volatile in nature when compared to bitcoin.Mostly altcoins are pumped and dumped and so day trading would give very effective results here. But bitcoin is mostly traded on a long term basis. Its price does not have such huge variation and even if its there,it would be very little. So,in order to make a descent profit margin, you would have to invest huge amount of money.I think its not necessary to take such risks and better do day trading by buying altcoins with lower investment itself.

Its hard to be a day trader. I only put some condition in my price either a gain or a loss because I use a stop limit sale on what I trade.

Is buy low, sell high a new strategy for you?

If you're seeing swings, trade them. You have to just get into the right rhythm with it.

Day trading Bitcoin is hard because the price of 1 Bitcoin is very high and everyone would rather invest in altcoins for easier and faster profit.

This comment is complete nonsense. Bitcoin can be divided to the 100 millionth of a bitcoin, which currently equals $0.000074. You can afford to trade with $50. Stop acting as if it's impossible!

there are times when day trading bitcoin is easier. for example when there is a rise/rally going on that day or when there is some FUD and price is dropping. generally speaking when the market is most predictable not at times when price is stable and you can't tell which way it may go.

that is why i prefer day trading altcoins. they get pumped easily and there is always something that is getting pumped that day. as a result you can go from market to market and make profit in each pump.

do not be tempted to be such a lucrative price hike, as bitcoins are so famous that many investors invest in bitcoins to make a profit. so the price rises so rapidly, this causes the risk of loss is very high if investors sell bitcoin with large quantities it will affect the price of bitcoin

No day trader who does it for a living is going to share his hard earned knowledge for free. 95% of beginners who try to trade lose their shirts and quit. Psychology is just as important as technical knowledge; there are psychologists who specialize in helping successful traders overcome their emotions and become better traders. If you think you have what it takes prove it to yourself by trading on paper for three months before risking your fiat.

It is not easy to do it, probably a lot of newbies are going to tell you that it is easy to trade with btc/usd pairs, but in fact, it is one of the most difficult things that you can do, and most if you are going to trade on a real broker, because you can create short and long positions, and they can make you earn a lot of money, or lose a lot of money, there is no intermedium in there.
I lost a lot of money when i used to do short positions for long term in bitcoin, i mean, bitcoin was below $1000 but i did some shorts and i lost more than $200 because of those errors, and in just five hours.

I personally do not like day trade because now bitcoin value is moving fast. So if you hold a long term trade you can get a big profit in a short period of time

Day trading Bitcoin is hard because the price of 1 Bitcoin is very high and everyone would rather invest in altcoins for easier and faster profit.

You can still day trade bitcoins as long as you go in with a big investment and easily flip the 50-100's in difference but there is risk involved in that too.
