Well yeah now maybe isn't the best time for day traders but it's the perfect time to buy BTC and hodl.
Yes it all depends on the skills and experience we have, no one can ensure the effectiveness of trading actions that we do except the knowledge we have. In addition that patience can also be a decisive factor of our success in performing any trading actions that we do. So Experience, skill and knowledge become a thing that will determine what we will get. Without these three things then we can not get anything, Trading is like a very difficult thing for some people, but for some smart people then Trading is an easy thing to gain profit.

I think day trading is less effective. Yes maybe because I do not like day trading so I can conclude this is less effective. I prefer a long-term trade. Because it can be more profitable even though we have to be very patient waiting for the price of the coins we have risen. seems a tricky task

Trading is buying when red and selling when green. not the opposite. It's an effort to buy when the price is cheap and sell when the price is high to make a profit. Is not what you are looking for when trading is a profit. not a loss. Altcoin is still very volatile its value is perfect for daily trading and it is worth it and very profitable.
I think this is not the right time to trade day by day. Because the market is very bad now. So I think you should divide the capital to buy and hold.
Day trading not also effective but also harmful! Harmful for newbies or who don't have enough idea how to trade daily, how the market works. Sometimes, you will lose your money, because in trade no can get only profit. Lose is a big part of the live trade that's why to live or daily trade, not for everyone.
Yes day trading is effective to earn incremental rise in the profit and go home happy. There are people who trade daily and ear pretty much but this profit is also determined by the market forces and sometimes you have to stay strong for many days and wait until you start earning again. I personally am a long term trader and suggest every one to make long term plans to get the life time profits. 
But, there is one thing, which you should remember “choose only that altcoin that truly has potential”. I do trading every day only if there is an altcoin which I believe is a thing of a great volume, thus there would be very fast movement of coins, which means that I can do buying and selling fast as well.
Day Trading is always effective but the thing without any knowledge about the analysis it is not possible to make money. Sometimes you might lose money in day trading because of false analysis by you, without knowing anything better we can stay away from day trading instead of losing money.
It does not really matter if you will know the effectiveness of a particular way for us to deal with earning because all in all the success of our trading will always relies on our management and decision making. If you are willing to do you part in order for you to earn it would be a sure success in the future so if you choose to used day trading it could be a good option for us to trade in a daily basis if possible.
Not all the time, Perhaps it will give good profit when the market turns to red and bounces back within a day, However let us be aware of the characteristics of crypto's, It usually moves up and down, and very important thing to do is to choose a potential coin to invest. Make a wise decision to invest, Study the coins you wanted to invest, and go for it:)

I'm a Professional Crypto Currency and Forex Trader and i'm always doing day trading. I'm agree with you when market is red on that time it is not possible to make profit but day trading is a very profitable if crypto currency market show green signal. I'm always follow chart pattern because for day trading chart pattern is very effective.
The most complicated feature of day trading is the need to be able to identify upcoming increase or decrease which is why you should always give yourself honest evaluation whether you are ready for daytrading or not but with the right skills you can always 'come out dry' ie with the profit.
Day trading is complex and holding isn’t easy as well. Nothing is easy in this world. Even if you take the responsibility of a person who is just sitting in front of a store and securing the store, this is difficult too as everything else too. So don’t just think go what is hard or not, rather you must be going in just because your interest is resonating with your work, and that is success.
I think daily trading is very effective and very profitable than doing long-term trading that makes you stuck in the coin is not good and make your capital can not grow.
I do not like day trading much I like to do trading on a long term basis. Day trading needs lots of experience and I am not too good in day trading that is why I like to trade on long term basis.
Why do you need lots of experience for day trading?
I think that it's the other way around.
In day trading you just monitor to be in the +/-10% zone and you're good.
Low profit but also low loss.
On the other hand you really need knowledge of how the market works if you're going for the long term investments.

I would say yes day trading is realy effective but only if you have a good skills in trading because if you are only a newbie then its too risky for you to start in day trading you may lose all your money.
