I prefer weekly purchases because this increases the BTC owned, if this week does not buy BTC due to unstable cash flow then next week is double to make a purchase, I don't mind this being called aggressive in purchasing but I want BTC to keep accumulating every week.

One of the main points of the properly executed DCA strategy is regularity and consistency.
In theory, buying smaller amounts more often is preferable, as it should give you more protection from buying during exceptional spikes in price, but, in practice, it doesn't make that much difference whether you buy weekly or monthly.

If you're struggling with cash management and find it hard to stick to buying weekly, I'd switch to monthly purchases, especially if you're an employee and are getting paid every month not week. Should be way easier to manage.

Generally, the DCA strategy doesn't really requires struggling but rather it should depend totally on your cash flow and understanding how much of your disposal income that is readily available for investment, one doesn't really need to struggle but should tailor down the part that will suit him and give him that comfort to enable him make an informed decisions towards his investment, one of the important thing about the dca strategy is being consistent in order for you to have a good size of bitcoin over a long period of time.
Dollar-cost average is truly a convenient investment method, you do not have to stress yourself over it, it's a plan that has to be completed over more time stretches but you can't just be investing money anyhow at different time with different amount, doing that only tells you are doing a different thing entirely. The period of time for the DCA investment should be the same and the same is the money you invest per time. Doing it your way is more of a savings plan in Bitcoin, it's not suppose to be so. This makes DCA to be a preplanned investment strategy, even if the money is not readily available you should have the income plan that will make the inflow constant at that planned period. This suggests why it is also called constant dollar plan.

First don't plan your DCA in Bitcoin on unstable income. This is the first mistake every newbies getting into DCA makes. Using unstable income makes it Impossible to keep DCA and they'll have the stop midway when they don't have any money left. Your DCA should be on stable income then you have to stay disciplined to making sure that you don't miss buying Bitcoin and you would have accomplished your goals without any stress. You can paused if there's need for more money to be allocated for your expenses and resume when you have extra money. Please don't starve yourself just because you're buying Bitcoin with DCA. We should always use money that isn't too much for us to spare.
This is the reason why it’s crucial to have a solid financial backup, if there’s an available Emergency And Float fund, then there’ll be definitely no need to pause your DCAing simply because you’ve got financial needs or need money to sort out your personal expenses or needs, that’s the work of a float fund, when you encounter a sudden disruption in your finance and then you’re unable to either shop for your groceries or take care a few financial needs or even an Emergency, your financial bankups kicks in while you continue with your accumulation uninterrupted.

When you fail to make availability for a financial backup with at least 5 to 6 months of your living expenses, you’ll surely meet a few obstacles during your accumulation, and these obstacles would either disrupt your accumulation or compel you to dip into your investment to sort out that urgent need.

With the help of a well planned DCA strategy with a disciplined funding, you’re sure of reaching your financial goal faster as you have the liberty to harness the power of investing consistently which helps in a many ways and takes care of most of the problems investors encounter in the course of investing in volatile assets like Bitcoin because the approach plays a very vital role in mitigating the risks of market volatility and also fostering a long term perspective, which of course guarantees a very solid portfolio and financial stability.

Every investor applies any strategy, it's actually okay depending on each individual and according to their comfort. However, if you want to invest in the long term using the DCA strategy, namely by buying every week or every month according to your budget and Hold this is the right strategy. Regardless of whether the price of bitcoin goes up or down, we still do DCA every week or month. That way we will feel and be able to enjoy this strategy as you said. If you wait for the price to drop to do DCA, you are afraid that you will regret it later, because the price of bitcoin cannot be predicted when it will drop.

I myself am sure that the DCA strategy will make me successful in the future because I have a motto "In Bitcoin We Trust" with a bitcoin supply of only 21 million, I have a view and belief that one day bitcoin will become the most expensive asset I have.

Wise investors do DCA strategy every time they want to buy, this strategy is very helpful and one of the techniques that investors rely on for the purchasing technique they will do. Most investors are looking for a safe and comfortable way in terms of developing a strategy to enter the market in making purchases via DCA, we do this every time at a certain time with this best strategy.

If it is true that being a long-term investor, the decline rate is not too much sought after to want to do DCA at that certain time, actually doing DCA in any condition is not detrimental to investors who are looking for gaps in a longer period of time, they will continue to hunt for Bitcoin periodically in their investments.

Investors should choose strategy that works for them. DCA is good way to invest in Bitcoin for long term. Buy Bitcoin regularly no matter  price to reduce risks. Stick to plan and do not try to guess when price will go down. Bitcoin price is unpredictable so it is hard to know when it will drop. I also believe just like you in Bitcoin future because there is only 21 million of it and I think it will become more valuable over time. The phrase In Bitcoin We Trust shows strong belief in its success.

Well, in the end it all comes back to each where we cannot force anyone to be in a method or a strategy in investing in bitcoin because everyone is free to express themselves according to the beliefs they have when talking about bitcoin whether doing a DCA strategy or another scheme because they have their own considerations about it.

But there needs to be a situation where it becomes important when doing it with a long-term benchmark as a goal then it is clear that DCA is a very good method to do. Regardless, it is more worth it to make purchases on a weekly or monthly basis according to the commitment you want to build rather than waiting until it is too late and difficult to enter because you are expecting lower prices. Although buying on the dip can still be done but when we already have money that we are ready to invest then why delay it.

Yes, at the end of the day the most solid advice for investing is simply investing a percentage of your income every time you get it.

That's pretty much it, ideally this should be automated so that you don't even think about it.

That way you focus on living an interesting life, create a bunch of cool stuff, and provide value to people.

That will bring you more money, which you can then invest, and so on...

When you have been able to run the DCA method well and can hold it in the long term, then it will certainly be very beneficial for you in the future and I also agree with you that anyone who can run the DCA method will certainly be able to make purchases in any condition without pressure from market conditions and they will continue to buy it in any condition consistently with the funds they have, but we should also pay attention to the funds that we will use to do DCA to ensure that we can hold it in the long term and don't let us have to take it back when the target we want has not been achieved.
I like your emphasis on funding. By allocating a dedicated amount for DCA, one ensures that the funds are always available and ready for investment whenever you need it, and one can also maintain the investment schedule without experiencing any interruptions, not just that, it also helps one avoid scenarios that would warrant one to dip into one’s investment and withdrawing your funds prematurely, instead you’ll have the liberty to allow the investment to accumulate and compound overtime.

DCA method is very effective during both Bull and Bear market, the main focus and objective is to build and own good stash of Bitcoin over time using DCA Strategy regardless of market conditions. You might see a certain bitcoin price as over valued but you can't tell if it will fall belows certain amount it just unpredictable but DCA saves an investor from such strees. Predicting the market is very stressful, it's better to be in the market consistently rather than timing the market of which DCA offers such,  by accumulating Bitcoin consistently and being in the market at all moments. The strategy empowers normal individual regardless of your income/ earnings to build an investment gradually over time without timing the market.
Your summary of what the DCA strategy is, as well as its benefits is outstanding and I agree with everything you’ve said. For people having the intention of building and accumulating Bitcoin overtime, the DCA strategy can prove to be super effective, as well as for those who intend to buy and HODL Bitcoin for the long term, this is because, regardless of the market conditions, you’ll still be able to accumulate Bitcoin without feeling any pressure or being affected by temporary market fluctuations. Yes, by regularly investing a fixed amount at a specific interval, you may not completely eliminate the impact of market volatility but you’ll be able to reduce it a lot, and you’ll be able to resist the temptation of attempting to time the market, which often leads some investor into making certain impulsive decisions that’ll end up affecting their investment.

You will not enjoy the real importance of DCA and hodli for a long term if you are only after buying at the bear and sell at the bull run as a trader. You will only get little profits instead of a good amount of profit from your bitcoin investment due to the compounding value of your investment if you increase and hodli your bitcoin overtime.

However, if you are cool with what you are doing, that's fine but I am investing and saving for the future and that is why buying and selling within short-term is not for me.

You have no excuse not to acquire Bitcoin, this is one of my most used word when
discussing with my friends that have
high interest in crypto, but don't have capital too buy.

Since I introduced the DCA method to them, it was a game changer too them,
DCA is the best way for low income earners to acquire more Bitcoin.

Bitcoin will be something that is needed in achieving the stage of freedom but few people understand how to collect even though they do not have the capital to buy.
DCA would be a good idea for this kind of person to collect and there is no reason for them not to be able to buy.
Sometimes people don't know how to start so they don't want to think about getting involved and some people don't dare to take a little risk in it.

DCA is very appropriate for anyone to do and they can make a weekly or monthly percentage to make purchases according to the capital they have.
So with this method there is no reason for anyone not to be able to buy bitcoin if they have an interest in investing.

The advantage of DCA strategy in Bitcoin investment is very important for every and I believe that every investor uses it and some other retail investor have been able to accumulate a good volum of Bitcoin just by being consistent. Even some people that actually felt that they can not invest into Bitcoin because of the value, after they learn about DCA strategy, they came to understand that they can actually invest just a little percent of their daily, weekly and monthly income on Bitcoin and with good consistency they can still have a significant fraction.

Yes DCA strategy can be a very easy method to accumulate bitcoins if a person has discretionary income. Basically an investor does not need much experience to do this. If a poor person has a disposable income of at least $100 per month or per week he can put half of his money into bitcoin deposits. although the growth rate of bitcoins will be much lower. if he can deposit in the DCA method for a long period of time and if his salary increases later he can gradually increase the accumulation level. If he can run this method continuously for at least 10 years then he can get a large pile of portfolio. If an investor has a long-term holding trend, he can reap huge profits from Bitcoin.
DCA strategy is most useful for those people who want to invest in Bitcoin but can't due to family financial problems, DCA will be very good and comfortable method for them. They can make small investments and hold long term to get good profits in future. Since Bitcoin is highly volatile and has the potential to yield high profits over long-term holdings, DCA can be a very good strategy for new investors.

Agree, if investing is causing anyone financial hardship, they should reduce the amount they invest on a regular basis, or even not invest at all and focus on increasing their earnings.
The guy I was responding to said that he's doing DCA weekly, but if he doesn't have money one week, he'll try to buy double the amount the week after. That's not in line with the DCA strategy, in which making regular buys is the key.
With the approach of postponing buying to a later term, there's a risk of not averaging the price correctly (e.g. if you buy the double or triple amount on a local peak). Such an inconsistent strategy could give much worse returns than proper DCA or buying-the-dip.

and in my opinion, whatever the market conditions are if we are good at reading market direction, there will definitely be an opportunity to get the best price whether it is in buying or if we want to sell it, meaning it may be common knowledge that investing and trading at golden moments in the market so that we produce better trading quality because consciously or not the trading system also teaches us how patience works to produce better investment results in the future and not always fail at the same point.

Yeah, but the thing is that no one really knows that.

No one can predict accurately when the highest value or the lowest value will happen.

Also in the long term that doesn't matter too much as long as you are roughly correct in the direction, for example you can assume certain assets will appreciate over time.

That means that if you exchange cash for those assets you will probably end up wealthier over time.

No one really knows what? When to buy? I think you are wrong, we all know what Bull market and bear market looks like, what you should be warning others about trying to time the bottom or the top, but the bottom and the top doesn't happen in a day, it takes time for corrections to happen.

Use Bear market for buying and use Bull market for profit taking, it is that simple, DCA is best for the long term but when Bitcoin is massively over valued I won't keep buying just because my plan is long term, that's plain stupidity.

The market will bottom in a bull market, bad news always happen after Bitcoin tops out, once that happens start buying, the best time for DCA is in a bear market, I  won't be buying the tops just because I won't to hold for long term, never.

Yeah, that's true.

And that's also true in many other areas in life. Being consistent usually gives you better results than just doing something incredible one time only.

You can do modest changes every day and the results will grow exponentially over time. The key is to continue doing it, every day.

Consistency is key. Just like Bitcoin, tick, tock, another block.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
September 13, 2024, 02:59:53 PM
The idea is indeed better to make purchases weekly so that BTC will increase much faster, but the problem is when the cash flow is unstable and they do not have weekly capital to make purchases.
Why this reason can be justified because buying using the DCA pattern against BTC will be much more profitable because this asset will continue to get an increase moment for each period even though it cannot be separated from the correction process.

DCA is not appropriate if the asset purchased does not provide certainty like BTC so that the basic capital will be suppressed with a much lower selling price.
This is the reason why DCA is more suitable for BTC investment in my opinion.
I prefer weekly purchases because this increases the BTC owned, if this week does not buy BTC due to unstable cash flow then next week is double to make a purchase, I don't mind this being called aggressive in purchasing but I want BTC to keep accumulating every week.

Obviously the DCA purchase pattern is very profitable especially taking the average price - after I saw the purchase statistics for more than 2 years it showed significant growth even more than 100% but we still hold and continue to do DCA every week as a routine.

DCA will continue in any way, weekly - bi-weekly - or monthly, what is certain is that you must be sure that BTC will provide long-term benefits so in DCA it must be consistent.
