Nearly every single ICO is dumping at 10x lower than ICO price recently, apart from Credits which is the on exception I can think of. This is due to presale investors dumping their tokens. The practice of giving such favourable returns to presale investors will eventually lead to retail consumers no longer participating in ICOs, since they will always get dumped on. This practice needs to end.

It is better to look into the bonus structure before investing in any ICO, some team are so foolish that they give some investors as high as 100% bonus without any lock up period, I learnt this lesson last year investing into SONM ICO, the pre-sale investor started crashing the price as long as it hit the exchange

Yes , I think there must be pre sale but not with huge bonuses because those people sold when price jump , or there must be vesting period of minimu 6 months if there is bonuses.

Industry 4.0 is called Bitcoin
I agree with you, the main problem is giving a very high bonus, which will create a big disposal of the investor. because this is very important and if when token listed in exchange price far from ico price then it is a very bad start.
Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day. I personally do not think SEC will declare ETH is a security; I just do not see it. However, if for some reason they do, (not sure what the reason would be); there will most likely be a huge lawsuit and legal battle against the decision. Imagine every exchange uniting together, the ETH foundation, and all of us. The case would most likely reach the supreme court. What SEC is doing feels like a message to new icos. If SEC will look at the legitimate top projects, then what do you think they'll do to us? This should discourage any scams or fraudulent ICOs.

High Presale Bonuses is part of their marketing strategy to attract more investors but this is also one of the reason why prices are dumping (aside from the whole cryptomarket is in red now.) I think the ICO team should lessen the High Presale Bonuses or they should have a lock period for this kind of bonuses so that prices would not be supress.
We are not blaming the team for sure, but you should also remember that it is partly the responsibility of the team to device means that will protect their project. Our discussion here is centred on what to do to prevent the dumping of token below the ICO price. This practice threatens the future of ICOs and if not check will bring so much consequences to our dear Blockchain Technology.

One thing I recommend is adopting the pattern of locking presale and bounty tokens for atleast three months after first exchange listing. In this case, dumping will be reduced. I don't think there will be any reasonable investor who will deliberately sell at a loss.

I don't think we can blame the team for doing so. They believe in what they're trying to do is great, with this the teams demand is high. Some investors can also see this point of view that's why they invest, but others do not, resulting with the project not reaching the soft cap. Making the tokens value drop after listing on exchanges.
