Now there are very few strong decentralized exchanges that are competitors to the most popular traditional exchanges. Forkdelta and Etherdelta is difficult to compare with the most popular exchanges. IDEX has a very high fees. But I'm sure that there will be more such exchanges in the future.

In the current decentralization exchanges, such as Ethderdelta, 0x and Oasis, the security benefits of decentralization come from the cost of the user experience. The trading speed is limited by the time the blocks and order books are updated slowly and are often out of sync with the interface. Trades are not automatically matched, forcing users to manually select trades and open them for substantial user errors. Filling in many orders, or market orders, is not possible, and cancels or even limits the cost of reserving gas. In providing the ability to manage user crypto-crypto, this exchange also removes control of the user experience.

Two hands for decentralized exchanges.
Used recent IDEX. On one of the centralized almost a month can not finish my verification, once they probably.
Went on IDEX, volumes of course less, but not critical way. And the price was just a couple of percent lower. But everything is simple and intuitive.

I don't believe in decentralized exchanges. Still, I believe that the future will be for centralized exchanges. They are much convenient to use.
Can we know why you do not believe in decentralizing exchanges? Yes there are troubles and they are not as convenient as their centralized counterparts but that is the same thing with bitcoin doesn't it? We are willing to pay the price of choosing a currency that currently is not as convenient as fiat because we see the potential it has, and the same is true for decentralizing exchanges.

I do not recommend the use of decentralized exchanges. They are less secure, because you need to enter private keys, and you can get to the phishing site.

So how many decentralized exchanges have comprimised compared to centralised ones?

Barterdex is secure and you do not need to expose your private keys.

If you are stupid enough to fall for a phishing scam you can just as easily hand over your username and password to a centralised exchange.

Does anyone know if there are API libraries (preferably Python for me) available for these decentralized exchanges? I've shortly looked at DEX, but it seems to only have a web interface where I would need to trade manually. I'd rather build a bot that does it for me.

1.COINVEST A Centralized Platform To Crypto Eyes.
2.STREAMITY is a Decentralized Crypt Exchange Switch Platform and it is very safe and secure.
3.BITCOIN ATOM (BCA)
4.ALTTEX consortium that brings together decentralized exchanges, crypto messengers and Smart Safe.
Cryptocurrency exchanges are for all intents and purposes, the backbone of the cryptocurrency market. Evert tradable asset needs a market where it can be traded and that is what these exchanges do, they facilitate cryptocurrency commerce by virtue of their platforms service solutions. Within the world of cryptocurrency exchanges, there are basically two types of exchange platform; centralized and decentralized.A decentralized cryptocurrency exchange is one in which the architecture of the platform has no central controlling server or bundle of servers. As a result, no third-party escrow intermediary is required to hold the funds of the participants in the exchange transaction.

As far as i know these are rhe lis of dex market :
1. Waves dex
2. Bancor
3. Bitshares
4. Etherdelta / forkdeltha
5. Idex.market

For waves dex you need to have waves to trade rhere because the fees is using waves coin.
Bitshares also good platform and you are also need bitshares coin to trade there.
For token i always used forkdeltha and ide.market because it is safest place for trading token.
Next good decentralised exchanger is exscudo platform but now not launch yet, maybe in q2 or q3 this year.

I think that only decentralized exchanges will remain in the future. They are much safer than traditional exchanges. Now there are few DEXes and among them there is no clear leader but in the future there will be more. Now I'm trading at Forkdelta and sometimes at IDEX.
I do not know if that is going to be true, centralized exchanges are some of the biggest companies in cryptocurrencies right now they're very powerful and it is going to be very difficult to get rid of them, in a way they are like banks because they centralized information and the money of the people, so it is going to be interesting if we can destroy centralized institutions within the circle of cryptocurrencies, if we cannot do that then the chances of destroying banks are very close to zero.

Wavesdex needs to implement few things and it can be competitive to other decentralized exchanges. There are new ICOs that offer new way of non centralized exchnage features but i doubt team will achieve it before 2019.

Not many I really use at the minute because of the lack of liquidity. I could never get the coins I wanted at the price I wanted on market orders never but buy orders, but but but I do love the idea and I think a good decentralised exchange would take over the market in a flash
This is what we have been waiting for a long time and yet it doesn't happen, and it is precisely because of the lack of liquidity but one of the things you need to understand is that most traders do not care about giving up their information to exchanges and that is one of the biggest selling points for decentralized exchanges so it's not really a surprise that we have not seen a lot of adoption yet.

I'm using only Etherdelta, Forkdelta and Bitshares.. Apart from that, Waves' decentralized exchange is also mentioned a lot.

In fact, the popularization of the wave stocks will be very useful. Decentralized stock exchanges have not yet become fully popular. I find the waves platform very successful.
Very functional and has a great potential Smiley

Thats actually what market need ; DEX. Transactions will be faster , cheaper and more secure. Waves want to built a DEX and they have more way to go still but when it ends many people will use it for sure. Many tokens has built on eth network and now many new ICOs on Neo coming up , there are a few based Waves platform too . We need a DEX can provide all Erc20 , Neo , Waves token and other coins too. I think behind the doors there are many developers are working to built excellent DEX and maybe we can see them after Q3 2018..

I guess Binance, which has announced the development of DEX, or the partnership of Wanchain and Kyber network will make these thoughts real.
