Yeah, DB got a good house edge.

As expected. They after understanding that it was their mistake a bit , when odds on other sites were 1.9 and 2.0 they provided odds 1.01

Even if it was so, couldn't you just use another sportsbook to make the other bet?!

Yeah even though directbet charges a lot of juice (big house edge)
they tend to have a lot more betting options than most especially on the olympics.

I like how fast they responded also, trust me most books could care
less about your arb issues.
This case are actually an arbitrage betting , but directbet said it is not?
Did directbet actually know what the arbitrage it is? It is not about bet on different markets only.
But for me in this case op just disappointed on unavailable bet and feel cheated because they did not provide more bets . Not directbet fault at all in my point of view.

I've no idea why someone would even publicly complain about this!  They're not under any obligation to take a bet from you, and you shouldn't place bets without accepting 'early cash in' might not be available and you'll be forced to see the bet through.

Also I don't think 1.01 odds is a mistake as such - its just basically them saying they don't want the bet.

You cannot force someone to take a bet, meaning directbet can't force you to make a bet that you don't want to, and you can't force directbet to make a bet that they don't want to.

If someone else is offering 2.0 on a bet, that is what they are offering, that doesn't mean that directbet has to offer that price also.
Kind of the mindset I have as well about sportbooks. A lot of books refuse to take bets at random times during events. A lot of them even stop accepting bets in the last 10 minutes of the game.

If you are looking for something that does accept bets throughout, then you need to go to the main odd providers and sportbooks like bet365.

This case is not really an arbitrage per se but rather cashing out early.

Here is what happened :

In the match between Warwickshire v Surrey he placed a couple of bets on The Draw during in-play betting and a couple of hours later towards the end of the game he wanted to bet on Surrey but claims that the bet was not available at the time.

It is common for bets to be temporarily suspended during in-play betting. Most common reasons are that odds are unavailable while being re-calculated or too low as the team is a very big favorite to win.

We are sorry that he missed out on this bet. Unfortunately it is not possible for us to offer all bets at all times during the match.

If the bet that you are looking for is temporarily unavailable we suggest that you keep refreshing the odds page as it is likely to become available again later.

Nobody expects you have have odds on every single side for every single minute.  Anyone trying to hedge their bet live has to understand the risks beforehand and getting mad at the book for not having the odds they want is ridiculous.

I placed some huge amounts on a team and then waited for the opposite to happen so i can arbitrage but huh directbet never gave odds on the event again.
Today you lost a lot of reputation in my eyes.

Good luck directbet and better if you cannot afford arb make a rule that no arbitrage is allowed !
I've experienced anything like it and after that I never played only in one gambling site, learn by experience i got. one secret again you can benefit from the difference in the odds of winning if play in two gambling site.

It's impossible to find an arbitrage with directbet pretty much, as apparently they use reduced Betfair odds. Even if you did find one, it would highly be unlikely that the Arb exists in the same sportsbook. The fact that they removed the option (they have every right to) doesn't mean they are scamming you. You could always deposit to another sportsbook (I like Nitrogen/Fairlay, and BetBaller for live) and arb there.

You choose the most wrong sportsbook on earth for betting only (they pay, but you find there the lowest possible odds compared to nitrogen, sportsbet, vegascasino, jetwin and betcoin.ag) let alone to place an arbitrage bet there. I am feeling really sorry for you but at least I see from replies here that you understood not to place bets there anymore. I will place bets again there once they raise their odds just to be the same as everybody else as when everybody else has a 1.55 odd they have it on 1.42 or even 1.38 and that's just crazy and unacceptable.
Over 50% of the time, DirectBet Olympics odds > Sportsbet.io Olympics odds
VegasCasino.io = Sportsbet.io
Vegascasino odds < Sportsbet.io odds

So anyway i will soon post something that will open the eyes of you people and you might stop betting. Soon enough

Guys on a personal note the sportsbook they run is 1000% honest, they will pay what you place for. I mean they wont scam but their support today i found out is pooret ever in terms of understanding.

What they offered me was 10 mBTC bet, really ? Someone who bets over 1 btc every week is shown a free bet of 10 mBTC ?

There is huge difference between odds as you are saying this, but how is that possible directbet offer 1.01 for the same match while other are offering very huge odds for that, maybe you made any mistake to check them correctly on the right time there, what was that match for that you are taking about?

Well, if you feel disappointed on service of some company, first of all you should let them know about your problem by asking to their customer service or posting a complain on their official thread. It's a wiser way than opening a new thread about your disappointment. Btw I saw you ordered a signature design for yourself from a designer in service board by put directbet site on the design, and now you are complaining their service.

After explaining everything, I am still waiting for a reply over 30-50 mins while they are online. Anyways just my bad luck maybe that I chosen to bet there. I will live with it. What to do ?

Just wondering why you asked the problem if you did not want to solve it or at least say a word on it.
Because they didn't know what was the problem in the first place? And to determine if something is possible to fix you first need to know what is wrong.
I understand you lose your arbitrage somehow, but you didn't provide enough info about what really happen. And DirectBet said that arb is not forbidden on their site.
So I am not even more confused.
