In my opinion, this is a very interesting coin, but it lacks trading volumes and promotion. I would recommend looking at it only if a listing on a large stock exchange is announced or a contract with a large investment fund is concluded. To Monero this coin is still very far away.
Monero has a very good adoption and strong community. There are also lots of third party projects that are build around or with Monero. I don't despise Deeponion, I held some onions by myself, but it has very long journey ahead to surpass Monero.

Deeponion launched two years ago. Not a new coin. Transactions are not confidential. 70% of the coins were distributed through airdrop for free.
I think Deeponion may or may not be better than monero. But monero is old and already established coin which has managed to win as many as traders and investors. So its price has surged so much. But Deeponion coin is struggling to get established in the market. Though it is good and its technology is like monero, it has to go long way to beat monero.
I think not so far once DeepSend is implemented into the codebase. The recent update includes the codebase of BTC and LTC which have opened more chance to be flourished. Now it's easier to implement smart contract feature for DeepOnion. What do you think about deeponion will it be the new monero?

Bitcointalk community hates Deeponion, even Deeponion ANN creator has a red trust due to team´s behavior. So I do not think that it is really better, it is highly speculative coin.
Have you checked the red tag for what and compared the reality? You must have an idea after doing that.I would not say DeepOnion is better, it will be foolish to compare DeepOnion with Monero but the truth is the way DeepOnion team is developing the project, I believe one day DeepOnion will lead the privacy coin industry.
DeepOnion is now waiting for the DeepSend, if it get implemented, I think it will be most used privacy coin.

I guess he is the only believer of deep onion in this forum, because virtually everyone seems to be in support of Monero which I also don’t need anyone to tell me that Monero is better before I know. I have had my investment for a long time now, which It is one of the projects that has really encouraged me in this cryptocurrency industry and amongst the coins that are on my watch list from time to is Monero.This project and team can really not be compared to that of deeponion, although there is always rooms for improvement which if deeponion works hard like Monero, the might be second best to Monero in the market.

I never think that deeponion will be the new monero because that still too far for deeponion to increase the price or to compete with monero. But deeponion will have a chance to increase its price, especially if the developer makes an important update for the project, so people will see that the coin have more benefits. That will make people trying to buy the coin, and that will make the price increase higher.

nope for sure, if we talk about privacy coins, all people will go to monero mate

Maybe a list or criteria of comparison would be good to appreciate the difference between the two. For example : time created, features, purpose, coin specs, credibility of dev team, etc...

By looking at their cmc, the trading volume is much higher in monero as compared to deeponion. It suggests that traders are more interested in monero no doubt.
We have lot of privacy coin but I dont think deeponion is better than monero as it has a better and very good team with a very high possibility of usage than that of deeponion which just launched last year ,

No, I think Monero is much much better. It is the bitcoin of privacy coins, and a long way ahead of competitors.

Oh my monero is still in my wallet and I will keeping this for longer. Deeponion comparing to the monero I will going to choose and my vote to the Monero because I have that coin last few years ago and until now the potential is still there ans I do not know a lot of aboyt deeponion and Monero already rise the value and it will increase that again and probably this year.
Briefly, if Bitcoin is the King of crypto space, Ethereum is the King of crowd-sale-funded and smart-contracted projects, Monero is the King of Private Coins. It is too hard for other coins to beat Monero in terms of privacy and anonymous, including DeepOnion. Deep Onion has a few helpful and interstings features, that obviously help the project, the coin got massive supports, acceptance, usages, and a very big community. However, to say Deep Onion is better than Monero, nope, I don't think so.
I think this coin can replace Monero if volume will go up and this coin will become more popular.
DO has nothing of its own and is heavily centralized. It's just another ponzi that will never replace Monero. Once the devs are done dumping their load on gullible buyers the coin will fizzle out like BCC.
