I see no reason to complain about a coin when you are getting it for free (airdrop). You should realize that the rules you mention are the second version of the rules, specifically aimed at preventing fraudulent users scamming the system. Guys, look at the Deep Onion thread on the forum (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-deeponion-tor-deepvault-cryptopia-airdrop-2440-we-dominate-2006010) and join the forum (https://deeponion.org/community/) to decide for yourself.
Of course, but their rules are constantly changing and this is not fair for the investors. I dont understand why there are people investing more than five hundreds dollars, they can get it almost for free if they have a junior member account on this forum, it makes no sense.
I dont believe in Deeponion, and they are very succesfull because a lot of newbies and those who are in a dissesperately need of money are using it and promoting it all over the internet.

The good thing is that the OP of the DeepOnion ann thread was already red tagged. Lets hope that people will be smart enough to avoid this garbage coin and all those greedy naive fools that got tons of their free coins will stop shitting this forum.

Rich get richer.

Some jokers on there get thousands and thousands of free coins whereas the poor newcomers looking for a genuine investment get burned. You buy for the people above.

the op is butthurt becaue he didn't get many coins for nothing. it's really simple. what you hold in your airdrop wallet is used to work out how many you get in the main airdrop. he did'nt have many in his wallet but expected something for nothing. there is another airdrop on sundays now worked out on how many deeppoints you have in the forum. you get points for activity and useful posting ect. as an example i got 415 deeponions today from my deeppoints. so,there are lots of ways to get free onions other than actually buying them. and of course why not buy some if you support it? after all if you support a coin then you want the value to rise???

i'm sick of these idiots posting shit about a coin that has so far been nothing but open, honest and fair. with everything the devs have said getting done in quick time too

OK mate whatever bollocks you chat.

Answer the following:

1) why does the main Dev participate in every airdrop? Doesn't follow the rules but gets an unlimited amount? Why haven't you put funds aside for them?

2) why do newcomers have to buy ONIONS to get eligible for the airdrops? Whereas you and your friends get thousands of free coins some that don't even do the minimum requirements?

3) why, a week earlier new members were getting minium of 500 onions but this week just 8 onions?

3) why were my posts deleted? Because I was asking questions about the devs being greedy?

The whole setup reeks of a ponzi scheme. I would suggest to all to stay away of dump what you have.

When the airdrops over its obvious all the fat cats will sell.

No whitepaper? One exchange?

The whole setup is fishy.

I don't think it's a scam. It's an anonymity coin and because it's an airdrop, they get a lot of heat. It's better to hide their identities.
I participated in the airdrop and it gives good money.

Could you share some of the statistics that how many coin did you got in the airdrop and what is the value of each coin at present exists in the market. Also is it listed on the exchanges till now and what is the future of this coin when its a airdrop. Can the value take a dip in few days itself due to people selling after getting their coins as its a free for them?

Take what you can get for free, but do not spend a single dollar for this project... Critic in their Ann thread? Gets deleated. Questions why you are blacklisted (unknown reason)? Get ignored.

Hi All,

What are your thoughts on this project and how it manages its airdrops?

My opinion is that it's run like a pyramid scheme. Anyone new interested in this project I would suggest not to participate in the airdrop as you'll l get peanuts.

You will be asked to buy 100 onions and then given 7-8% on your total which is about 8 onions. A complete joke.

The Dev team are very secretive and all hijack the airdrops. Ever heard of the devs participating in airdrops?? Well here it's a first. No funds put aside for the devs.

All my posts have been deleted because I asked about the Dev team etc.

There's no whitepaper and the coin is only on one exchange. Odd.

I was ready to invest some btc to this project thinking that I would get some incentives from the airdrops but I got indirectly told take it or lump it.

Some of the members do nothing but are rewarded 100x of coins.

Anyways my 2 cent. I would advise stay away because it's going to get dumped hard when the airdrops will finish.

I'm going to sell my small amount of deeponions and buy into projects like xtrabytes.

Thanks for sharing your deep insights and bad experience about this new coin  as i saw this being promoted by some other members on this forum on different thread.. Embarrassed

No worries. He is just mad that he didn't get in early. We changed our rules recently that helps us grow the community and get rid of dumpers or abusers. Just another Fudder that isn't happy.
Have a nice day!
Can you briefly explain what a useful product is produced by this project?

How are the coin fundamentals related to the anger of the OP for being excluded on the early phase?

I sincerely believe that deeponion is a better coin than many others, it's not a token or a scamcoin, and have some unique features (tor, deepvault, the initial distribution mechanism itself, probably deepsend in the coming future).

Anyway, in a few weeks the airdrop will end and then I suppose everybody will be fine and stop bothering for not getting how many coins as the early adopters (and I'm not properly one of them)

If those numbers in the OP are true I'm not sure you can talk about "for nothing".

8 Onions at 70 cents are less than $6 per week for a signature campaign, and only if you actually spend $70 on Onions to even participate in the first place. That's much less than even the worst paying signature campaigns... so I don't know how that's supposed to attract people.

Joining any other signature campaign would be worth more than joining the DO campaign, even for those who believe in the project. Would make more sense to do another campaign and buy Onions with the profits than to do the Onion campaign directly if the numbers here are true (idk if they are).

But who knows, maybe the numbers are wrong and DO will end up surprising everyone. Keep seeing it everywhere after all, which seems strange for $5 a week... so maybe there is something to it?

Anyway good luck to everyone participating, hope for you it's not a scam and will be worth your time.

Ha-ha, I looked at their website and it is written that there are zero current airdrop participants out there! It's true that it is rather hard to find the dev team and that looks like a bad sign. Yet they seem to have already had airdrops before, so I guess there should be people who will say for sure whether they are legit on this matter. I can see that on this forum most of threads mention this coin is positive context, people believe in it, so perhaps the project has chanced even without known dev team and any relation to specific darknet websites.

You never know what clik in real world- so none can predict the what will happen to deep onion in future.
Anyways a large number of people follow deeponion.  So that model of creating followers can be used by other developers.   Cheesy

Let me honest that I diidnt qualify their first airdrop rules due to membership status and joining date.  Now the Free airdrop rules got changed and new rule has a condition that for getting airdrop you should  have  100 deep onion in wallet. Since you didn't qualify free airdrop,  you dont have free onions in wallet

That means you need to buy it from market by investment

So its not Free airdrop anymore. Grin for those who are trying to join new.

...

New airdrop rules had been published more than a week before the 16th airdrop. It was plainly obvious that aidrop would follow OmiseGO model of distribution in that it would be proportional to number of Onions you currently have. You could even guesstimate minimum number of Onions you could received in the airdrop for 100 Onions investment based on the circulating supply of Onions at that time. You could also guesstimate how much money would other people receive as balances of all airdrop participants are public. If someone bought 100 Onions just to participate in the airdrop and now complains that he received too little for his investment, that person hadn’t done his homework. Period. I mean, it’s not like you have to solve 10 differential equations to come up with a reasonable guess.

Our community here on bitcointalk is quite honest and good that their claims are mostly true.
I don't think all airdrops are scammy pr pyramid schemes, but Deeponion is very popular yet it doesn't show any legitimacy. I am gonna stay away from it.
You can still profit from pyramid schemes but its gonna be too low.

pyramid systems are natural they exist due to division of work, and through different magnitude of information, between individuals, and different responsibilities.
if you dont like being part of a pyramid then you better make your own.
if you dont know how to make one learn it.

deeponion is an empty mined IT system , but it has nice features, like the deepvault, i personally dont thing that the amount of token is important, it is more important what the idea behind it is about and how strong it is for others.

with c-pro i am trying to develop an infrastructure friendly alternative to bitcoin that is backed and secured in value with real world assets.
the idea is important and the common benefit.

Definitely shady. I mean because everything is premined, the developers are staking their premined coins right now as we speak before they are distributed out to the public. This is even more shady if you take into consideration that POS rewards go from 10% in the first year to 1% in the 3rd year or whatever.

Stay away from them.

The only reason why they're even surviving is because of their airdrops - they are essentially employing people to promote their project, creating artificial interest.
