Why not announce a week in advance and get the word out, let people start setting up properties, etc?

Waste power for mining? Maybe, initially, but once the difficulty rises, not so much. Its about real world usage of the coin. that's what drives the price right? If I can send someone 1000 coins for a product, and its 100% confirmed in 20 seconds, that's where the coin shines.People need to think about the future of the coin and not so much about mining.
