Though bitcoin may be small right now, these stars are not. The exposure these guys can bring to bitcoin may be unparalleled, as they bring it to the attention of the masses, not just the techies out there.

A list of 10 celebrities who either briefly made a joke or mention about Bitcoin on Twitter or have other tenuous connections. List is a joke. Doesn't even have ones like Richard Branson who actually actively talk about it or accept Bitcoin in payment for something.

Hmm, that's awesome. I only knew about Richard Sherman, Ashton Kutcher, Snoop Dogg, and Nas.

I assume Max Keiser is, but I would hardly call him a celebrity..

Depends how you define 'celebrity'. Max and Stacey have mentioned this site before so I guess we can assume they at least read it sometimes, but they might just be lurkers.

Ashton Kutcher might be on here. He compared this Bitcoin time to the days of the internet in the 80's.

He might not be as well  Cheesy. If we're going by people in the public eye who've mentioned bitcoin then that's quite a few people who may or may not be posting here Wink.

Some people like to keep anonymity on Bitcoin Talk, so you probably won't get any 'true' answers.

And I honestly don't think everybody on here could be considered 'average', depending on how you see 'average'.

If any of them are here they won't tell about it. The main idea of forums is to hide you personality from other in another case they could ask questions they want on twitter and it would bring them a whole much more of answers  Smiley Wink

I doubt that there are some. They might be members but hiding it,as well. You wouldn't want people to annoy you with PMs.

Does anyone know of a Famous star or celebrity that uses bitcointalk.org or are we all just average people on here?

I think if i were rich and famous i would still be interested in Bitcoin if not for the money just for the idea.
If i were rich i would have a farm just to hoard the BTC  then i would send small amounts to users here randomly just to make them question where it came from Smiley

I'd guess yes they're around but don't no of any and won't expect an announcement saying "here I am". lol.  Funny you bring up the anonymous tip because that very thing happened to me once and I'm never going to forget it haha.  I wish that person would come clean already ahaha, jk.

Not sure if legit:  Barrack Obama

The misspelt first name gives me a few doubts.

Haha. Talking of misspelled names this one made me laugh out loud when I saw it: Glen Hodl

Glenn Hoddle is a former English football player and manager.

These are definetly fake offcourse, i am not sure if big celebrities gonna waste time on forums, what will they gonna do if they join the forum? Provide service? Smiley

I would be surprised if they would disclose it
If any, most likely they are just quiet, discreet consumers of the forum
