I was going to say, I would prefer them developing the coin and the shop and exchange compared to spending time making sure the thread is perfect.  Though maybe this kind of stuff would be a good thing to pawn off (pun not intended) on someone trustworthy in the community or a person they know IRL - update the thread and make sure links are up to date, not broken, etc.

Is it just me or is Pawn coin a very well kept secret? Noticed it on Poloniex, bought some and pointed my miners at a pool.

nobody want to sell big amount of pawncoin, the one who want to sell has selled it at 400 satoshi.

the left people are with strong hand, so they may not want to sell it before exchange opens and online shop opens.

may be dev is busying at developing work. haha

I think you misunderstand, I am referring to using Pawncoin to purchase items, I am not talking about buying pawn.  For example:

I want to buy a TV.  It is 100 dollars.  My pawncoin is worth 100 dollars each.  Next week I know my pawncoin will be worth 105.  Why wouldn't I save my pawncoin until next week?  This is the issue with setting a pre-announced fixed price raise.  The other hand is not saying anything to anyone, but then only the select "inner circle" gets to sell/buy and make money off of Pawncoin knowing a price change is coming up while no one else does.

As I ponited out, IMO would be best to set a fixed bottom even in the begining, however, not as skyrocketing high as 1 USD but gradualy above current exchange rate on small steps.


Pleas, read your question again and try to answer it. Obviously you are in a big mistake as it is exactly the opposite. If you know something will be worth more in future you are wiling to buy it now.

What you pointed out regarding the pawnshop I think is extremely important and I'm glad you did.  I think it is very, very important to make sure the Pawnshop builds up a stock of items/digital goods/etc. BEFORE the price is set at a fixed rate - because you're right, everyone will dump coins to make a quick buck, and it may never recover.

At the same time, if I know next week pawncoin will be worth 5 cents more than it was this week, and 5 cents more after, why would I ever buy and not just wait?  edit:  why buy for example a TV I mean

On the other hand, if only a select few (devs or whoever else) know when a fixed price raise is going to happen, it gives them a bit of unfair advantage (insider trading for example - obviously allowed in this market but looked down upon greatly).

So, this is definitely something that should be addressed, but I also agree that pawncoin's price should NOT be set as high as 1 dollar flat fee upon initial release, unless the devs have the capital/USD/BTC whatever to actually pay out if everyone dumps every single coin and runs.

I don't know the correct answer, but I do agree with the sentiment that we all need to load this pawn shop up with goods as soon as it opens.  I have a ton of very useful stuff that I just don't have use for (brand new motherboards, etc) that I would love to send off to the pawn shop and support a new idea rather than sell it on Ebay or have it collect dust.

Edit:  I also think it's necessary for all of us (early investors, late investors or whatever) to send stuff to and buy stuff from the Pawnshop in order to support it in its early stages.  I'm not saying spend money you don't have, but if you can use it, use it!

Guys, this is just the begining! Price broke the 3K level and the shop has even not opened !!!

Dev, please, link to updated OpenSSL fixed source (not comlied wallet). Linux guys as me ised this urgently.

I believe I said it earlier in the thread that at this point, with the backing of you developers and the amount of support you give/input you take, that if you guys keep it up the only way this coin fails is if the idea fails.

Personally, I invested because this is a service I could use myself, and I am looking forward to it very much.

True I just took a look, I am about consider personally taking a nice bite out of some of those walls at 3200 and up.  That's the risk you take trying to put up walls whoever you are haha
