I don't see bitcoin dying anytime soon, especially when it is useful as a speculative asset. I doubt it will ever be a stable money/store of value. The fact that there is a limited quantity I believe will make it harder to regulate its price.

I'm starting the think that people don't realize what de defintion of DEATH is, that means NO movement, or a steep movement to zero, neither of that is the case....

So, bitcoin died a year ago?

The earliest memory I have of Bitcoin "dying" was in June 2011 after we all were Goxxed the first time.

BITCOIN IS DEAD! With it's rapid increase in price it is not stable and can not be used as a measure of wealth because it might be worth more in 1 day. Lets all just pack it up and sell our coins to me.

Seriously though two weeks ago it was dead, this happens with crypto if you're new now this is your lesson, don't have a weak hand a fold. Crypto is new and going to be a lot more valuable in the coming years.

First i see another Bitcoin hater and then i actually read what you wrote lol Niceone you're not having my few precious coins i hold these and accumulate more until someone starts a thread telling me its dead then i will sell so fast at a cheaper price to what i paid  Grin

The downside of its death it has put the coin in even fewer hands or is that an upside, i wonder why and who would want more BTC what have they got planned or what do they know..

Bitcoin was a prototype. It was never intended to be used on the massive scale that it is today, admitatly still small. The price volitilaty is because of traders treating bitcoin like a stock; buying and selling.
And tell me, how do you avoid a crypto currency to not be freely sold and bought without ridiculous regulations that miss the initial point of freedom?

The blockchain will exist as long as internet and electricity (humanity) exists so stop mentally masturbating about it, Bitcoin will survive and shape itself into whatever its needed to survive.

Bitcoin acts like Jesus Cheesy

Today: Bitcoin IS DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Soon: To da moooon! (= not dead anymore)

Although I strongly doubt that long term bitcoin's median price will raise forever*, I think bitcoin is still far away from total collapse.

* maybe we're never going over 1000 again, maybe the next bubble is the last big bubble

Not surprised. Bitcoin has been called "dead" so many times.
For those who don't know yet, actually there's a website recording dead time: http://bitcoinobituaries.com/

Don't worry kingcolex, I get what angle you were going after.   Cheesy

Not too many posters here are keen on what sarcasm is.
